Aim. The purpose of this article is to assess the formation of the labor potential of the Kiev region from the standpoint of social geography. Methodology The expediency of using a set of research methods with an emphasis on complementary and cross-checking methods — factor analysis, cluster analysis, index method, is substantiated. Moreover, both for calculations in order to determine the Kiev region among other regions and internally regional differences, it is proposed to analyze indicator indicators in the following sequence: normalization of indicator indicators (taking into account their stimulating and destimulating effect), calculation of aggregated indices - aggregation of indicator indicators into indices by aspects of labor potential; calculation of block indices of educational, cultural, medical, environmental, demographic and economic subsystems; calculation of the integral index of the development of labor potential. Findings. The approaches to the socio-geographical assessment of the formation of the labor potential of the Kiev region are determined. The center-peripheral patterns of development of the labor potential of the districts of the Kiev region are determined. The existence of several distinct averaged center-peripheral patterns in the Kiev region has been discovered: with increasing order of neighborhood neighborhoods, labor potential grows; the value of the cultural development index, comes the value of the demographic, economic index, the value of the factor weights of the economic and cultural factor among the regions decreases. The spatial model of the “center-periphery” is determined by the level of development of labor potential in the Kiev region, the center-peripheral patterns of its formation and use are confirmed and discovered. Scientific novelty. Scientific novelty lies in the development of a spatial model of "center-periphery" in terms of the development of labor potential among the districts of the Kiev region. Practical significance. This study is the basis for a comprehensive socio-geographical analysis of the development of the labor potential of the region. Its results can become the basis for establishing promising areas of growth in the labor potential of the Kiev region; delimitation of the spatial model of the “center-periphery” of the development of the labor potential of the region is aimed at taking into account its features when making managerial decisions. The features of the formation and use of labor potential in Ukraine and the corresponding influence of socio-geographical factors are disclosed. According to the integral rank of assessing the formation and use of labor potential, five groups of regions have been identified. This brief description of the distinguished groups of regions by their role in shaping the labor potential of their regional centers, in accordance with the level of economic diversification and the impact on the socio-cultural development of the region and the country as a whole, defined in the gender of socio-geographical factors of labor potential development.

The article exposes general features of labour potential development on Kyiv region in comparison with other regions of Ukraine. Focused on analysis of factors of employment of the labour potential of the region from the standpoint of social geography. Socio-geographical factors of formation and the use of labour potential of the region are revealed. Research of labour potential of Kiev region allows you to understand which socio-geographical factors most strongly influence the modern formation and the use of the labour potential of the region in comparison with other regions of Ukraine. The article proposes 23 indicators of four subsystems with six components, which determine the formation and the use of labor resources in the region. Integral indices of certain subsystems were calculated, which reflect the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of labour resources potential, which dynamically change under the influence of socio-geographical factors. The method of factor analysis has been applied, which provided for the normalization of the indicators (taking into account their stimulating and disincentive impact) of the regions of Ukraine; aggregation of indicators in indices for components of labour potential and the calculation of integral indices of educational-cultural, medical-ecological, demographic and economic subsystems. According to the results of calculations of factor scales and the integral rank of labour potential development in the regions of Ukraine, the peculiarities of the formation and the use of labour potential in Ukraine and the corresponding influence of socio-geographical factors are revealed. According to the integral ranking of the assessment of the formation and the use of labour potential, five groups of regions have been identified. The brief characterization of the selected groups of regions in relation to the role in shaping the labour potential of their regional centres is given in line with the level of diversification of the economy and the impact on the socio-cultural development of the region and the country as a whole, determined in the gender of socio-geographic factors of labour potential development. Three main aggregate socio-geographical factors of formation and development of labour potential of regions of Ukraine (medical-ecological factor, educational-cultural factor, demographic and economic factor) and their influence were revealed. Significant disproportions were found in the level of labour potential development in the regions of Ukraine. The place of the Kiev region was described in accordance with their actions. Kyiv region belongs to a group of regions with a high level of labour potential with the most significant effect of demographic and economic factors. Kyiv region is described as Hinterland, which is in close social and economic interconnection with Kyiv, which certainly affects the market situation of the labour market.

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the possibility of applying new methodological approaches to assess the impact of significant indicators (factors) of labor potential on the results of the enterprise by using methods of factor analysis and obtaining bottlenecks for practical application of relevant management issues aimed at improving the results of research enterprises. The mechanism of application of new methodical approaches to determination of influence of internal indicators (factors) of development of labor potential of the enterprise on the results of financial and economic activity of enterprises by the use of special mathematical tool - methods of the factor analysis are investigated. The choice of indicators that adequately reflect the forms of manifestation of the essence of the studied phenomenon for such a factor analysis is an extremely important problem. Methodology. In our case, sixty-seven indicators characterizing their labor potential were selected at three enterprises. Thirty-six of the most valuable of them were selected due to the use of mathematical statistics, which served as input for factor analysis, as a result of which the authors obtained a matrix of factor loadings of indicators characterizing the labor potential of the studied enterprises. The practical significance of the study іs that, as a result, the most significant factors of influence were identified for each of the studied enterprises. Taking into account these factors, it is possible to effectively manage the development of labor potential of the enterprise in the direction of improving the results of their financial and economic activities.

The article presents the results of the development of a methodology for assessing the structural structure of the labor potential of a region and its role in socio-economic development, territorial and environmental features of labor resources and mechanisms of reproduction of labor potential. The development of the methodology was based on a conceptual and methodological review of foreign and domestic scientific sources. Aim. Aim of this article is to identify internal territorial differences in the development of Kyiv oblast labor potential. Methodology. Basics of geographical statistical analysis shaped the methodological framework of the research. Main research methods include factor analysis and index method. The analysis is used to identify hidden relationships and structure in the data array. The distinguished relationships between the factors are interpreted territorially. For this purpose, for each of the cases, factor coefficients are calculated that demonstrate the spatial distribution of the influence of the studied factor. The index method provides comparability and normalization of input data for statistical analysis. The integral indicators of the dynamics of complex social georaphic processes in time and space, as well as the solutions to the problem of the influence of factors on the dynamics of the phenomenon under study, are derived. Using indices, we determined the dynamics of the main indicators of the labor potential of the Kiev region, compared the parameters of various indicators, revealed the influence of specific factors on the change in parameters. Findings. This research allowed to define approaches suitable for social and geographical evaluation of territorial differences in the development of Kyiv oblast labor potential. Factors that define such differences, as well as an integral index of region’s labor potential development were also identified. The existence of a clear differentiation of the districts of the Kiev region by the integral rank of the development of labor potential is established. 3 groups were identified by the level of development of labor potential: • leading regions by the level of development of labor potential; • buffer areas according to the level of development of labor potential; outsider districts by the level of development of labor potential. Scientific novelty. Scientific novelty lies in the identification of the territorial differences in the development of Kyiv oblast labor potential. The assessment of the factors of formation and use of the labor potential of the region has been improved and the main agglomerated socio-geographical factors of the formation and development of the labor potential of the Kiev region have been identified. Practical significance. This research establishes the bases for conducting a comprehensive social and geographic analysis of the establishment and development of region’s labor potential. The factors of the formation of the labor potential of the Kiev region, the spatial features of the use of labor potential by typing administrative regions according to their respective attributes, were identified and analyzed. The developed methodology can be the basis for further socio-geographical studies of labor potential in Ukraine. This paper seeks to investigate sustainable cross-border cooperation (CBC) as a distinctive model of interstate collaboration, embedded in the neighboring borderland regions of two or more countries. The focus of the research revolves around the establishment and further development of geostrategic, economic, cultural and scientific capacity of the Ukrainian-Romanian partnership as a fundamental construct in ensuring and strengthening the stability, security and cooperation in Europe. This research highlights Ukraine’s aspirations to establish, develop and diversify bilateral good-neighborly relations with Romania both regionally and internationally. The main objective is to elucidate Ukraine-Romania cross-border cooperation initiatives, inasmuch Ukraine-Romania CBC has been stirring up considerable interest in terms of its inexhaustible historical, cultural and spiritual ties. Furthermore, the similarity of the neighboring states’ strategic orientations grounds the basis for development and enhancement of Ukraine-Romania cooperation. The authors used desk research and quantitative research to conclude that Ukraine-Romania CBC has the impact not only on the EU and on Ukraine multi-vector foreign policy, but it also has the longer-term global consequences. In the light of the current reality, the idea of introducing and reinforcing the importance of Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) sounds quite topical and relevant. This research considers a number of explanations for Ukraine-Romania Cross-Border Cooperation as a key element of the EU policy towards its neighbors. Besides, the subject of the research is considered from different perspectives in order to show the diversity and complexity of the Ukraine-Romania relations in view of the fact that sharing common borders we are presumed to find common solutions. As the research has demonstrated, the Ukraine-Romania cross border cooperation is a pivotal factor of boosting geostrategic, economic, political and cultural development for each participant country, largely depending on the neighboring countries’ cohesion and convergence. Significantly, there is an even stronger emphasis on the fact that while sharing the same borders, the countries share common interests and aspirations for economic thriving, cultural exchange, diplomatic ties and security, guaranteed by a legal framework. The findings of this study have a number of important implications for further development and enhancement of Ukraine-Romania cooperation. Accordingly, the research shows how imperative are the benefits of Romania as a strategic partner for outlining top priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy.

The Loess Hilly–Gully region (LHGR) is the most serious soil erosion area in the world. For the small watershed with high management in this area, the scientific problem that has been paid attention to in recent years is the impact of the land consolidation project on the erosion environment in the gully region. In this study, the 3D simulation method of vegetation, eroded sediment and pollutant transport was innovated based on the principles of erosion sediment dynamics and similarity theory, and the impacts of GLCP were analyzed on the erosion environment at different scales. The verification results show that the design method and the scale conversion relationship (geometric scale: λl = 100) were reasonable and could simulate the transport process on the complex underlying surface of a small watershed. Compared with untreated watersheds, a significant change was the current flood peak lagging behind the sediment peak. There were two important critical values of GLCP impact on the erosion environment. The erosion transport in HMSW had no change when the proportion was less than 0.85%, and increased obviously when it was greater than 3.3%. The above results have important theoretical and practical significance for watershed simulation and land-use management in HMSW.

Exhaust pollution and energy crises are worsening worldwide. China has become the largest motor vehicle producer; thus, promoting the use of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China has important practical significance. In this paper, considering the limited rationality of governments, NEV enterprises and consumers, we study the subsidy policy of the China NEV market using the evolutionary game and system dynamics (SD) methods. First, a tripartite evolutionary game model is developed and the replicator dynamics equations and Jacobian matrix are obtained. A SD simulation of the model was conducted to further clarify the impact of the initial market proportion and three variables used in the model. The results show that the initial market proportion affects the evolution speed but does not affect the evolution result when the three group players all choose a mixed strategy. For governments, they should not hastily cancel price subsidies provided to consumers; rather, they should dynamically adjust the rate of the subsidy decrease and increase the consumers’ extra cost for purchasing fuel vehicles (FVs). NEV enterprises should appropriately increase their investments in the research and development (R&D) of NEVs.

In this article, we examine the individual predictors that are responsible for accurate beliefs about the link between vaccinations and autism. We then show how these beliefs affect policy preferences about vaccines. We derive two hypotheses from motivated reasoning theory and test these on national survey data from Gallup and CBS News. Republicans were less likely to report accurate beliefs than Democrats. In addition, educational attainment modified the impact of party identification. The gap between Republicans and Democrats in likelihood of reporting accurate beliefs was largest among the most educated portion of the public. Finally, we show that accurate beliefs about vaccines, independent of statistical controls, are important predictors of policy attitudes about unvaccinated children attending public school and parental choice about the decision to vaccinate. We discuss the theoretical and practical significance of these findings.

The purpose of the article is to carry out an analytical assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the level of food security in Ukraine. Research methods. The research was based on general scientific and economic methods, the creative heritage of the founders of economic science, publications of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the impact of quarantine restrictions related to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic on the level of food security of the country, regulatory legal acts, data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, electronic resources and other sources. The monographic approach is used to analyze the dynamics of the actual consumption of agri-food products and the level of food independence for individual agri-food products. Normative and positive approaches are used to highlight real risks and threats to food security. A number of techniques of abstract-logical tools made it possible to make a scientific and applied generalization of the material presented, to formulate intermediate and final conclusions and proposals. Research results. An analytical assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the consumption of agri-food products and the level of food independence for individual agri-food products has been carried out. It has been proven that Ukraine produces enough food to ensure healthy nutrition for citizens. It has been determined that due to the low purchasing power of the population, groups of citizens with low incomes have limited access to essential agricultural and food products. In the medium and long term, there will be a shortage of food resources and global food inflation, the situation in agricultural markets will remain unstable, and trade will continue to develop under the influence of not only competition, but also political factors. Scientific novelty. The theoretical and methodological provisions, scientific, methodological and practical approaches to determining the factors of influence of quarantine measures and the spread of COVID-19 to the level of food security of the state have been substantiated. Assessing the impact of quarantine measures and the spread of COVID-19 on food security made it possible to identify the main risks of ensuring the country's food security. Practical significance. The applied aspects of the study can be taken into account in the formation of programs for the socio-economic development of the agri-food sector of Ukraine, which will increase the effectiveness of state initiatives aimed at ensuring food security of the state and increase the country's readiness for force majeure threats.
