AbstractPartners from nine European countries developed a cyberbullying training manual for the benefit of trainers working with parents, school staff and young people.1The development of the training manual built on a two-level qualitative research process that combined elements of the Delphi method and online focus groups. The two studies outlined in this article aimed to assess trainers' and experts' views on the problem of cyberbullying while also gathering insight in relation to their preferences in terms of a training manual. This article outlines the main outcomes of a content analysis of experts' and trainers' views. According to experts and trainers, the sources of cyberbullying were specifically related to new technical developments and new patterns of usage, a lack of media literacy and media education, and the lack of appropriate laws, control and reporting mechanisms. Approaches for tackling cyberbullying suggested by experts and trainers included the provision of enhanced information on ICT and e-safety, adequate rules, monitoring mechanisms and sanctions. Furthermore a range of approaches targeting children and young people, parents and other adults, schools as well as approaches run by authorities and IT providers were suggested. In terms of the elements and style of a training manual, experts and trainers emphasised that it should be practically oriented, and that elements like narratives, case examples or video clips would be vital for the implementation of training.

Moving the culture of healthcare to embrace healing in addition to curing is a daunting task. Multiple approaches are required. One such approach has been the introduction of quarterly Whole Person Care (WPC) Rounds at our medical center. The Rounds are creatively developed by an interdisciplinary committee and are open to the entire hospital community, including non-clinicians, volunteers and hospice/home health staff. The Rounds have taken on a variety of formats, from panels of providers, panels of patients/family members, mixed panels and interactive workshops. Examples of titles are Mindfulness in the Workplace, Moral Dilemmas in Medicine, Flourishing in the Workplace, Whose Pain Is It, Anyway?, Death Over Dinner (at Lunch), Joy to the (Our) World. The format is a lunch meeting lasting one hour. The emphasis is always on some aspect of healing for patients, families, clinicians, non-clinical staff or volunteers. Mindfulness work is part of every Rounds. The Congress workshop format would allow an introduction of the concept, examples of previous Rounds, video clips of Rounds, feedback from attendees and interactive sample exercises performed with Congress learners accompanied by robust discussion.

Background: Few educational interventions have been developed to teach Family Meeting (FM) communication skills at the undergraduate level. We developed an innovative curriculum to address this gap. Methods: Fourth year medical students during 2011-2013 (n = 674) completed training for conducting a FM. To assess the effectiveness of this training, students completed a FM Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) that included 15 domains rated on a 1-5 point Likert scale. Tasks included discussing prognosis, establishing goals of care and demonstrating conflict resolution skills. Students received one-to-one feedback from standardized family members and faculty observers. Group debriefings with faculty were held after the OSCE. Results: Analysis of faculty feedback narratives revealed four themes in which students required improvement: 1) Discussing prognosis, 2) Explaining palliative care/hospice, 3) Avoiding medical jargon, and 4) Discussing cultural/religious preferences. Evaluation total mean score was 28.2 (Min 15, Max 63; SD 7.57), and identified student’s need to; 1) Ask more about the degree of knowledge family members want, 2) Ask religious beliefs, and 3) Assess family members’ level of education ( p < 0.001). Qualitative analysis of group debriefings suggested that student perception of the OSCE experience was positive overall. Students found the case to be realistic and immediate feedback to be helpful. Conclusions: Conducting a FM is an advanced skill. This study shows that it is possible to train fourth year students to lead FMs and identify their strengths, needs using a FM OSCE.

This study aims to determine the perception of communication science students towards the Apple Smartphone brand as a lifestyle. This study uses the theory of Jean Boudrillard. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews and observations, supported by relevant literature by focusing on communication science students at the Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo university. The method used is purposive sampling, this technique uses informants who have been determined or have predetermined criteria to support this research. The results of the discussion above can be concluded that students' perceptions of smartphones as a lifestyle are divided into the following processes, one, perceptual selection occurs when students remember that iPhone users will look more visible or high-class than other smartphone users, and make users more confident. Second, the student perception organization collects information from various sources to be understood in order to consider whether to buy or not, so that they will not be disappointed with the items they buy. Third, the interpretation of the stimulus describes the meaning of the Apple smartphone as a brand that provides an identity for its users.

The millennial generation emerges in the era of advanced technology. The characters of the generation tend to have advanced knowledge of both technology and information. This convenience, spreading information easily, causes difficulty identifying whether or not the news is factual. Media literacy is necessary for millennials considering this generation is familiar with modern technology. Data are collected through observations and in-depth interviews. The analysis results that spreading Hoax via group chat is capable of anyone, including close and trusted family members. To prevent the act of disseminating Hoax in family and sibling, thus, a family member has an important role in reminding each other of the relevance of media literacy. This study concludes that knowledge and mastery of technology and the management of information from millennials are essential. Therefore the spreading Hoax is diminished. Literacy from generation to response disseminating Hoax in WhatsApp group provides knowledge to group members, especially parent, to be not gullible and easily provoked to single information. The opportunity of disseminating Hoax through a family group in WhatsApp is higher because of the mutual trust among family members and shared the information without clarifying it.
