This study was aimed at determining the value of character education in folk games on the slopes of Mount Merapi. This study used qualitative method. The subjects of this study were students, teachers, principals, and heads of Cangkringan and Pakem sub-education technical implementation unit. The instruments used were in-depth observations and interviews. The result shows that there are seventeen folk games, namely dakon, serak lidi, lompat tali, enggrang, bekelan, kelereng, bentengan, dan bola bakar, oya dodok, oya tembok, jamuran, cublak-cublak suweng, petak umpet, engklak, dingklik oglak-aglik, gobak sodor, and elang ayam.The game is used by teachers on the slopes of Mount Merapi to instill thirteen characters from eighteen educational characters. These characters, namely honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, respect for achievement, friendship, caring for the environment, social care, and responsibility. Folk games should be integrated in learning in elementary school to develop student characterNILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PERMAINAN RAKYAT DI LERENG GUNUNG MERAPIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi nilai pendidikan karakter dalam permainan rakyat di lereng gunung Merapi. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar (SD), guru, kepala sekolah, dan kepala Unit Pelaksana Teknis sub pelayanan pendidikan di kecamatan Cangkringan dan kecamatan Pakem. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi tujuh belas permainan rakyat, yaitu dakon, serak lidi, lompat tali, enggrang, bekelan, kelereng, bentengan, dan bola bakar, oya dodok, oya tembok, jamuran, cublak-cublak suweng, petak umpet, engklak, dingklik oglak-aglik, gobak sodor, dan elang ayam yang berpotensi sebagai sarana penanaman nilai karakter pada siswa SD. Permainan tersebut dimanfaatkan oleh para guru yang ada di lereng gunung Merapi untuk menanamkan tiga belas karakter dari delapan belas karakter pendidikan. Karakter tersebut, yaitu jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Permainan rakyat semestinya dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran di SD untuk mengembangkan karakter siswa.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta meliputi religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Ungkapan hikmah yang ada sangat relevan ditempatkan di sekolah dasar. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research in the form of words, phrases and sentences contained in the expression of hikmah in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. The source of the data in this research is the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. Research data collection used documentation techniques. Analysis of research data used content analysis. The results of the research showed the values of character education in the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta include religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, caring for the environment, caring socially, and being responsible. The expressions of hikmah are very relevant placed in elementary schools. It is intended that students have academic ability and nobel character.Keywords: expressions of hikmah, character values, elementary school

Novel is one of literature which full of character education value. The aims of this research describe the character education value of hard work in the novel. The mental hard work of participants in educators have faded and much the mentality to get instant results. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method with source data from novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi by Yusi Avianto Pareanom Banan publisher 2016. Close reading was used to collect the data, then the data was recorded in the form of hard work education data, processing data and analyzing data The results of this research that novel contains a lot of hard-working education values shown by the characters. Figures from this novel are (1) Sungu Lembu, (2) Raden Mandasia, (3) Prabu Watugunung, (4) Loki Tua, (5) Nyai Manggis, (6) Many Wetan, (7) Barja, (8) Wulu Many, (9) Jongkeng, (10) Resi Tama, and (11) Melur. The value of character education of hard work on this novel can be instilled to learners along with related learning. Thus it can assist the educator in determining the proper literary works for the material to grow the character of the hard work of the learners.

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of the research is the speech or dialogue that comes from the actors in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir which was quoted from the Kompas newspaper published on March 2012. The data that was the target of the study were obtained using listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that the values of character education include honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, democracy, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social care, responsibility, and religion. This is evidenced by the speech or dialogue that describes the figure of a man named Upta who grows and develops in living his freedom in living together with other people. It is illustrated that Upta respects differences in religion, ethnicity, ethnicity, opinions, attitudes and actions of people who are different from himself. Upta is described as a man who works hard and is responsible for his family

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni tari Jawa tradisional Nawung Sekar di SDN Rejodani dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter dan bentuk penanaman pendidikan karakter dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni tari Jawa Nawung Sekar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dan uji keabsahan data dengan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menanamkan pendidikan karakter pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni tari Jawa tradisional Nawung Sekar di SDN Rejodani Sleman dilakukan dengan cara intervensi dan habituasi baik dalam proses pembelajaran melalui pengarahan, bimbingan, pembiasaan dan keteladanan, dan penciptaan kondisi selama tahap persiapan, pendahuluan, inti dan kegiatan penutup. Dalam ragam gerak yang terkandung dalam setiap ragam gerak tari Nawung Sekar pun disisipi penanaman karakter. Bentuk penanaman pendidikan karakter meliputi bentuk penanaman nilai karakter religius, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, rasa ingin tahu, cinta tanah air, cinta damai, mandiri, kreatif, peduli sosial dan tanggung jawab.THE IMPLEMENTING OF CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH NAWUNG SEKAR DANCE AS EXTRACULICULAR ACTIVITYThis study was aimed at determining the implementation of the traditional Javanese dance Nawung Sekar as an extracurricular activity at Rejodani primary school in instilling character education and forming characters. The research method used in this study was a qualitative method. The data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman model, while the data validity was tested by triangulation. The results of this study show that, for instilling character education in the extracurricular activity of traditional Javanese dance, Nawung Sekar at Rejodani primary school was done through intervention and habituation both in the learning process (through direction, guidance, habituation and example) and the creation of conditions during the preparation, introduction, core, and closing activities. In the range of movements contained in each of the Nawung Sekar, the implementation of character education was inserted. The forms of character education implemented in this activity are religious character values, tolerance, discipline, hard work, curiosity, patriotism, love of peace, independence, creativity, and social care and responsibility.

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in a drama script. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the subject of research is drama Opera Kecoa by N. Riantiarno. Data sources are obtained from places and events, informants, drama script, and documents. Data collection using document analysis techniques. As one form of literary work, Opera Kecoa drama script contains character education values. The values of character education in this drama script are shown through characterizations and the flow of events in each round. Based on the results of the analysis found ten character education values contained in the Oera Kecoa drama script, these values include: religious, social care, tolerance, hard work, discipline, democracy, patriotic, love peace, friendly, independent, creative, and responsibility . By reason of the values of these characters, the Opera Kecoa drama script, can be used as a medium of learning in the college literature.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi: (1) nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam petetah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati; (2) pemanfaatan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam petatah-petitih Sunan Gunug Jati untuk menerbitkan dongeng dan fabel pembentuk karakter positif pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa kumpulan petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati. Terdapat 43 nasihat yang tertulis dalam buku Kesusastraan Cirebon karya Untung Rhardjo. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menarik simpulan bahwa (1) semua petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati yang berjumlah 43 memiliki nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu, religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam petatah-petitih Sunan Gunung Jati dapat dijadikan sebagai materi dalam buku pengayaan berupa kumpulan fabel sebagai pembentuk karakter positif untuk memperkaya imajinasi dan mengembangkan literasi peserta didik.KATA KUNCI: nilai pendidikan karakter; petatah-petitih. EXPLORATION CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE IN PETATAH-PETITIH SUNAN GUNUNG JATI ABSTRACT: This research aims to explore: (1) the values of character education contained in the petetahs of Sunan Gunung Jati; (2) utilization of the value of character education in the quotes of Sunan Gunug Jati to publish fairy tales and fables that form positive character in children. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the data source in the form of a collection of Sunan Gunung Jati slabs. There are 43 pieces of advice written in the book Kesusastraan Cirebon by Untung Rhardjo. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the researcher concludes that (1) all 43 pieces of Sunan Gunung Jati have character education values, namely, religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love of the country, respect for achievement, friendly/ communicative, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, care for social, and responsibility. (2) The values of character education in the quotes of Sunan Gunung Jati can be used as material in an enrichment book in the form of a collection of fables as positive character builders to enrich the imagination and develop literacy of students.KEYWORDS: character education value; petatah-petitih.

The aim of research to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of school mathematics curriculum adaptive cluster. Qualitative research with ethnographic design. Where research SMK N 2 Purwodadi. The research subject Principals, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques of interview, observation, documentation. The validity of the triangulation of data sources, techniques, time. Data analysis techniques with methods groove. The results of the study (1) Management of adaptive curriculum in math lesson planning includes designing syllabi and lesson plans that already contains a character education is the KI and KD, as well as the student's character assessment sheets .; (2) The study of mathematics includes three activities, namely the preliminary activities of teachers manage the religious character of prayer, discipline go to class on time, invite students to maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, and teachers to motivate students. Core activities, teachers implement instructional methods discussion so familiarize students have a democratic character, tolerance, social care, communicative, curiosity, love of peace, hard work, and creative. The activities cover teachers familiarize students have the responsibility and creative character by giving the task .; (3) Management of adaptive curriculum in the evaluation of mathematics learning are teachers carry out daily tests or individual assignments so students can familiarize themselves has an honest character, discipline, hard work and responsibilities. Assessment can also be done with the observation in the learning process fatherly knowing the attitude, knowledge and skills of students.

Character education is closely related to moral education, which is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement towards a better life. Novel is a literary work that can convey the values of character education. The research aims to analyzing the values of character education in the novel 5 cm by Donny dhirgantoro. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive design method. the data analysis technique by reading the entire data, analyzing the data in more detail and restating the data by described and interpreting the data. The result of this study are the value of character education  contained in the novel “ 5 cm” by Donny Dhirgantoro, namely, religious, hard work, love to read, friendly and communicative, social care,  and love  the homeland.

Character education value is needed in the education world. This study discussed a study of character education values through animation movie object of nussa and rarra, i.e. (1) religious character education value, (2) curiosity character education value, (3) friendly/communicative character education value, (4) social care character education value, (5) responsibility character education value. The researcher only limited five values of character education and used an animation movie object of nussa and rarra because the movie was trending in Indonesia. This study used survey methods and content analysis with qualitative research type because the data generated in the form of descriptions of speech fragments in the animation movie of nussa and rarra, then it divided into five types of utterances that contained the character education values and last, it analyzed. The result revealed that speech in an animation movie of nussa and rara, only five types of character education were found

Implementation of character education through learning to sing in the concept of art education 1 SD at STKIP Nasional Padang Pariaman in music, there are 3 meetings for singing material, 1 meeting for material and singing theory and the next meeting is continued with singing practice accompanied by a lecturer, then at the last meeting will be assessed with a practice exam singing with the concept of a choir. Determining the types of songs to be performed is also a way for prospective elementary school (SD) teachers to enrich their compulsory, national and regional songs in Indonesia. By implementing this method, students are familiar with national compulsory songs and regional songs. When the meeting on singing material begins, students will be provided with knowledge about what is vocal, what is singing, how to breathe, articulation in singing, choir and so on. In the next meeting, students will practice in the classroom accompanied by a lecturer. It was only at the next meeting that the practical test of singing was carried out, and the results were very satisfying. The character values shown by students in learning singing in the art education concept course 1 SD At STKIP Nasional Padang Pariaman, there are a lot of them, namely, religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, enthusiasm. nationality, love the homeland and love the archipelago, responsibility and many more.
