The basis for ensuring a high level of reliability and safety in dynamic operations is a comprehensive experimental development of products in conditions as close to the real conditions of operation as possible with the use of mathematical and simulation modeling. The technical task of conducting dynamic operations in orbit is analyzed, which in turn boils down to two basic: bringing the initial state of the spacecraft grouping into a given area of space and performing maneuvers in a given area of space during the active life. These management tasks and terminal requirements are considered to be initial in relation to the stochastic and minimax approaches that are offered for use in the construction of working algorithms. The method of developing a software-modeling complex of the decisive task of developing the means of conducting dynamic operations of the spacecraft has been proposed. The application is illustrated by examples.

Diminutivity, similativity and word-formation tautology in Middle Polish (illustrated with data from M.A. Troc’s Dictionary) Summary: The text deals with the limitations of the categorization process of the classes of diminutive and similative derivatives in Middle Polish. The aim of the study was to identify the potential reasons for the blocking of the categorization processes of the historical classes of diminutives and similatives. The methodology and terminology used in the paper follows the achievements of the so-called “Katowice school of historical word-formation”. The 1764 trilingual dictionary by M.A. Troc (Volume 3, with Polish as the input language) was the main source of lexical material. Based on the analysis of the presented material, one can conclude that the linguistic awareness of the lexicographer, manifested through the organization of dictionary entries and the choice of foreign equivalents and their definitions, may shed a new light on the categorical system of historical derivatives. In lack of sufficient Polish-language contexts, the translational character of lexicographic sources lets us gain information about the semantic and stylistic value of Polish lexical units on the basis of their foreign equivalents or their foreign-language definitions provided by dictionaries. The category of diminutive names in the second half of the 18th century did not yet crystallize its dominants, and the class of similative names had a similar formal and semantic status. Both classes constituted products of sets that contained derivative units, assuming a diminishing or similative function. The factor that inhibited the process of the crystallization of the dominants in the mentioned classes was the extremely high level of word-formation tautology, which did not allow language users to identify the real functions of multifunctional formants with the basic consonants -k- and -c-.

AbstractIn this study we show a reproduction of the dress-ambiguity phenomenon in a real scene and we report quantitative measurements of the corresponding colour perceptions. The original, real dress, known from #thedress-illusion, was illuminated by combined short- and longwavelength broadband lights from two slide projectors. Test subjects viewing the dress reported to perceive the dress’ fabric and lace colours as blue & black, white & gold or light blue & brown; their corresponding perceptual matches were distributed along the blue/yellow cardinal axis, and exhibited a variability comparable to the ambiguity of the dress photograph. It is particularly noteworthy that the colour ambiguity emerged despite explicit knowledge of the observers about the direction of the light source. Manipulating the background of the real dress (change in chromaticity and luminance, or masking) revealed significant differences between the perceptual groups regarding lightness and colour of the dress. Our findings suggest that observer specific differences in the perceptual organisation of the visual scene are responsible for the colour ambiguity observed for the real dress; in particular, we conclude that colour computations of white & gold viewers focused onto the local region of the dress, whereas the colour processes of blue & black and light-blue & brown viewers were strongly influenced by contextual computations including the background. Our segmentation hypothesis extends existing explanations for the dress’ ambiguity and proposes image based (in the case of the real scene) and high level (in the case of the photograph) neural processes which control the spatial reach of contextual colour computations. The relation between the ambiguity in our real scene and the dress photograph is discussed.

Abstract. Resilience is a fundamental concept for understanding vegetation as a dynamic component of the climate system. It expresses the ability of ecosystems to tolerate disturbances and to recover their initial state. Recovery times are basic parameters of the vegetation's response to forcing and, therefore, are essential for describing realistic vegetation within dynamical models. Healthy vegetation tends to rapidly recover from shock and to persist in growth and expansion. On the contrary, climatic and anthropic stress can reduce resilience thus favouring persistent decrease in vegetation activity. In order to characterize resilience, we analyzed the time series 1982–2003 of 8 km GIMMS AVHRR-NDVI maps of the Italian territory. Persistence probability of negative and positive trends was estimated according to the vegetation cover class, altitude, and climate. Generally, mean recovery times from negative trends were shorter than those estimated for positive trends, as expected for vegetation of healthy status. Some signatures of inefficient resilience were found in high-level mountainous areas and in the Mediterranean sub-tropical ones. This analysis was refined by aggregating pixels according to phenology. This multitemporal clustering synthesized information on vegetation cover, climate, and orography rather well. The consequent persistence estimations confirmed and detailed hints obtained from the previous analyses. Under the same climatic regime, different vegetation resilience levels were found. In particular, within the Mediterranean sub-tropical climate, clustering was able to identify features with different persistence levels in areas that are liable to different levels of anthropic pressure. Moreover, it was capable of enhancing reduced vegetation resilience also in the southern areas under Warm Temperate sub-continental climate. The general consistency of the obtained results showed that, with the help of suited analysis methodologies, 8 km AVHRR-NDVI data could be useful for capturing details on vegetation cover activity at local scale even in complex territories such as that of the Italian peninsula.

The purpose of this publication is to study the system of economic security parameters and improve the process of using RADAR logic as an element of assessing the information security of the enterprise. The importance of the concept of economic security of enterprises (EBP) is that scientists recognize it as an important factor in national security, since the real economy is an environment of planning, organization and the best use of resources. Four main factors of EBP are considered: a) planning; b) monitoring of the external and internal environment; (b) identifying and implementing threat response measures; d) control and improvement of the system. Taking into account the turbulence of the external environment, the impact on the formation of parameters of the EBP of macro-, meso- and microeconomic level factors is investigated. It is proposed to lay the methodology based on the model of the European Quality Management Fund (EFQM) as the basis for the formation of the EBP culture. Its goal is to achieve a high level of business excellence, the direction is to promote the processes of coordination of business and security goals, coordination of efforts to achieve sustainable security indicators, the formation of market knowledge and best practices for their exchange. The prospects for practical use of the EFQM model, the components of which are: basic concepts of perfection are carefully studied; criteria; RADAR logic. The conclusion about the feasibility of implementing the RADAR system is substantiated. Full and comprehensive implementation of the system can have a positive impact on the level of short-term liquidity of the company's assets, its long-term solvency, the formation of the desired level of profitability for shareholders, and generate positive external effects for society and the environment. The complexity of ensuring the EBP is explained by the variety of manifestations and relationships of interactive elements among the internal components of enterprises and the unpredictability of the manifestation of external factors. A logical conclusion is drawn about the importance of the EBP concept, its ability to include a significant number of factors in the sphere of management influence. The direct consequences of using the EBP concept are the comprehensive provision of both its own economic security and the fundamental principles of its organization, the safety of the activities of individuals, the ability to take into account numerous factors in the formation of the actual level of regional, national and international economic security of the state. The strategic directions of further research are outlined: study, schematization, numerical formalization of system-structural relations of components and threats to economic security of enterprises, the real sector and the national economy as a whole.

Abstract The engineers have to face very important problems in the design, the test, the survey and the maintenance of their structures. These problems did not yet get full answer even from the best people in the world. Usually in these problems (such as no satisfactory constitutive modeling of materials, no real control of the accuracy of the numerical simulations, no real definition of the initial state and/or the effective loading of the structure), there is no solution and the experts do not understand the problem in its whole. Moreover, the available data may be not statistically representative (i.e. are in limited number), fuzzy, qualitative and missing in part. We propose a practical solution the «Intelligent Optimal Design of Materials and Structures» where the actual best knowledges of the researchers/experts are intelligently mixed to the results of experiments or real returns. Several examples of applications are given in this serial set of papers to explain the real meaning and power of this approach.

Mental revolution movement in Indonesia is based on the phenomena of mental negative development in many different ages and other fields such as corruption, drugs, murder, robbery, thievery, prostitution, violence, gambling and sexual insulting. The development of mental negative in society is reputed as the implementation product that only produces the change of cognitive product in low level (knowing and comprehending) and it has not reached the high level of cognitive product (analyzing, synthetic, and evaluating). Education institution as the main tool and also as the first builder of mental Indonesian should be able to optimize all of intellectual potentials, emotions, social physic, aesthetic, and spirituality as comprehensive as balanced (holistic education) so that it can create the real human. In this case, it is needed more professional education management to empower the environment and also spiritual values as source of study; and to develop communication and cooperation with formal, non formal and informal institutions. As the leader of education institution, headmaster should be more serious in doing socialization, comprehension, and fulfillment the quality of the components in implementing the real education such as competent human resources, education curriculum, supporting facility and also empowering the cultural values of institution. Teachers as agents of mental revolution should increase their competences especially in using curriculum in various, fun, democratic and meaningful teaching-learning process so that it can be built the characters and positive attitudes of students. Commitment and cooperation among headmaster, teachers, society and government in building positive values will make faster to create Indonesian that are cultured as the goal of the mental revolution movement

Abstract The question of forecasting the service life of transport machines designed by taking into consideration the load spectrum, that is close to the real one, is an important problem at the calculation. One of the ways to simulate real operating conditions at the design calculation is a method of randomization quasirandom loads. Methods of randomization are widely used in many areas of science and technique. In the article, the numeric comparison of different ways of randomization is shown at the calculation for determining the service time using two techniques: the use of a standardized function of randomization in the high-level programming language of the and the law of normal distribution at its different parameters. The use of the law of normal distribution makes the more exact fatigue calculation because it makes it possible to simulate the quasirandom process that corresponds to the real operation picture to a greater degree. The results presented in the work make it possible to fulfill the calculation of the service time of the metallic structure that is under cyclic asymmetric loads, at the well-known nature of the application of loading to it.

The article deals with the problems of news editing, common errors, shortcomings and the reasons of this kind of mistakes. Use of an incorrect word in a text demonstrates that journalists need to know the meaning of every word they use. If this occurs because a journalist is inexperienced or young, the editor has to shoulder all the responsibility. An incorrect word, a phrase or a sign has been found to be confusing for readers in many circumstances. It is recommended that using words that can cause arguments or change the meaning of the text should be avoided. The phrases such as “the weight of a word, feeling the word” can be utilized in journalistic genres. A journalist, who knows the meaning of words and who can feel the word, can express his or her ideas in brief texts. This ability is developed because of non-stop reading, researching and editing frequently. In many circumstances, a word or a phrase, proverbs are used unsuitably. Correspondents are likely to use them without thinking or not understanding the real meaning. Sometimes, they cannot find words, which are “on the tip of their tongue”, but editors do. In conclusion, being an editor requires a person to have broad horizons, vigilance, attention to detail and high level of literacy and many other qualities. These qualities are formed through hard study. In order to achieve this,The Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and its regional offices, and relevant funds should work systematically. Apart from that, in order to reduce the number of errors editors make, it is vital to create dictionaries and handbooks for frequently made mistakes.

The chapter provides a brief overview of the history of simulation modeling and of philosophical accounts dealing with simulation. Computer and simulation modeling, it is stated, do form a new exploratory and iterative type of mathematical modeling. Four aspects are introduced: experiment and artificiality, visualization, plasticity, and epistemic opacity. The key thesis is that the novelty of simulation modeling rests on how these aspects are combined into a combinatorial style of reasoning. The computer as an instrument does not only speed up calculations but also channels mathematical modeling. This is exerting transformational power on central concepts like solution, validation, and the real—instrumental divide.
