One of the common strategies used to minimize the spread of Covid-19 is to wear a cloth mask. Cloth masks have a lower effectiveness value compared to other types of masks but have the potential to be used as an alternative, especially during a pandemic. Smartphone can be used as an initial idea for determining the quality of a cloth mask. In taking pore images, there are factors that have the potential to affect the results of pore size, namely distance, angle of inclination, and light intensity. Taking photos of masks with a magnification application is done with three variations, namely distance, angle, and light intensity. The distance for taking pore images is varied to 3, namely 8 cm; 10 cm; and 12 cm. The image capture angle is varied to 0p; 5o; and 10o. measurement using a distance of 10 cm has the closest value from the measurement results by taking images using a microscope, which is 0.232 mm. In the variation of the angle, the angle that is parallel or 0o to the plane of the cloth mask has a value that is close to the microscope measurement, which is 0.232 mm. The light intensity measured using a lux meter which shows the results of 240 has a value that is closest to taking an image using a microscope, which is 0.221 mm.

According to the common sense, experts, backed up by scientific methods, describe the “possible states of the world” in a value-neutral way. Then, in the political arena, delegates build on these proposals, but also consider values and interests. The present paper attempts to revise such an understanding of local economic development (LED) and argues that many of the deficiencies deriving from such a view can be remedied by deliberative participation, which is not merely a theoretical necessity, but also a practical possibility. With regard to the issue of public participation and deliberation, the paper identifies two main approaches in the LED literature: the “political” and the “apolitical”, of which the latter is mainly characterised by economic theorising. We take a closer look at the “apolitical” approach and demonstrate that in fact it is very much political. Therefore, we call for the transgression of the borderline between politics and expertise in LED, and suggest a joint democratisation of these interrelated terrains. We argue that deliberative participation is able to contribute to the quality of both the expert proposals and the working of the politics.

There was a blackout in early August 2019, forcing everyone to think about electricity. Some expressed the need for management reform, use of new renewable energy, and promoting energy-saving behavior. However, energy saving behavior without good knowledge will make it difficult to carry out the behavior. For this reason, the community service team collected data through a questionnaire to determine the energy saving knowledge of lighting for students. Furthermore, there is provision on energy saving lighting and practice in the field to determine the extent to which energy saving is implemented in the study room. This practice is in the form of measuring the light intensity of the study room, to find out its value so that if it is not enough, it is necessary to take action to comply with SNI standards. The presentation of the lighting field briefing contained, among other things, the explanation that saving energy does not mean reducing the use of electric power alone, but rather that saving energy must maintain the quality of lighting. Based on the results of the pre test, students have a high desire to behave energy-saving by 91.3% and have confidence in the results of a behavior and an evaluation of the results of a high behavior is 99.5%. The study room illumination shows a value that is not in accordance with the SNI, which is between 125 Lux to 150 Lux. This value is far from the SNI standard, which is 350 Lux for classrooms. Based on the results of the application of this SNI, then the lighting design is carried out through simulation using the Dialux software and the installation of energy-saving lamps in the study room, so that it reaches the SNI standard.ABSTRAK:Terjadinya pemadaman listrik pada awal Agustus 2019, memaksa semua orang untuk berpikir tentang kelistrikan. Sebagian menyatakan perlunya pembenahan manajemen, perlunya pengelolaan/penggantian sistem, dan usulan penggunaan energi baru terbarukan. Selain itu masih terdapat hal lain, yaitu peningkatan perilaku hemat energi (HE), antara lain berupa peningkatan pengetahuan HE. Namun HE kadang-kadang diartikan lain, yaitu hanya sekedar mematikan lampu, tanpa memperhatikan kualitas visual.

The paper presents results of tests concerning influence of accuracy in measurements of selected thermal properties of materials of a ceramic mould, insulating mat and an alloy itself on effects of simulation of a casting process provided for elements of an aero-engine. A simulation process was realized by means of the PROCAST program. In initial simulations, thermal parameters were applied and they are accessible in literature and concern materials of a mould and nickel superalloys. Results of simulation revealed presence of numerous defects in a form of gaps, pores and cracks. These results were proved in trial casting. In consequence, it was impossible to select correctly right casting parameters. In order to solve this problem, a value of thermal conductivity was defined experimentally and basing on it, coefficients of heat exchange in metal – mould, mould – insulation mat systems were defined as well. A value of partial coefficients of heat exchange was used to determine values of substitute coefficient of heat exchange for the whole metal – mould, mould – insulation mat systems. By introducing the got data, one managed to define parameters of a casting process, providing improvement in a level of quality of cast elements.

Subject. The study addresses the improvement of risk management efficiency and the quality of lending decisions made by banks. Objectives. The aim is to present the bank management with a fair algorithm for risk management motivation on the one hand, and the credit management (business) on the other hand. Within the framework of the common goal to maximize risk-adjusted income from loans, this algorithm will provide guidelines for ‘risk management’ and ‘business’ functions on how to improve individual and overall efficiency. Methods. The study employs the discriminant analysis, type I and II errors, Lorentz curve modeling, statistical analysis, economic modeling. Results. The paper offers a mechanism for assessing the quality of risk management decisions as opposed to (or in support of) decisions of the lending business when approving transactions. The mechanism rests on the approach of stating type I and II errors and the corresponding classical metric of the Gini coefficient. On the ‘business’ side, the mechanism monitors the improvement or deterioration of the indicator of changes in losses in comparison with the market average. Conclusions. The study substantiates the stimulating ‘rules of the game’ between the ‘business’ and ‘risk management’ to improve the efficiency of the entire business, to optimize interactions within the framework of internal competition. It presents mathematical tools to calculate corresponding indicators of the efficiency of internally competing entities.

ABSTRACTIndonesia is the world's largest producer of crude palm oil (CPO). Even so, the trend of international trade in Indonesian CPO products has decreased in the last 10 years with a value of -10.19%. The decline in world demand for CPO can be dealt with by utilizing CPO as a biofuel for domestic use, like biodiesel. The purpose of this study is to determine the competitiveness of Indonesian CPO in global trade and determine the parameters of the quality requirements of CPO and biodiesel. The competitiveness analysis method uses the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) method, while the analysis of the potential quality of CPO as a biofuel is carried out by analyzing the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). CPO trade in the global market is controlled by Indonesia with a market share of 50% and Malaysia 25.6%, with the declining trade trend in the last 10 years relatively (2010-2019) of -6.91%. The level of competitiveness of Indonesian CPO products in 2019 is very strong, but on average in the last 10 years, the level of competitiveness of Indonesian CPO is no better than that of Malaysia. Indonesia has SNI 01-2901-2006 and SNI 7182: 2015 as a determinant of the quality of CPO and biodiesel products developed in Indonesia so that the CPO and biodiesel produced fullfil sacurity and safety aspects when used by consumers. Keywords: crude palm oil (CPO), competitivenessv, quality, Indonesian National Standard (SNI) ABSTRAKIndonesia merupakan negara produsen minyak kelapa sawit mentah/ Crude Palm Oil (CPO) terbesar di dunia.

The objective of our research was to examine the effect of canopy shading on beech sapling architecture in the oldgrowth silver fir-beech forests of Pecka and Rajhenavski Rog. In August 2003 we sampled one plot (352 m2) in a large gap in Pecka, which was a result of a strong windstorm in 1983, and eight small gaps (26–78 m2) with similar sapling heights (3.8–8 m). A ground view of each gap was drawn including the characteristics of gap border trees and the density of separate sapling layers was recorded. The height and diameter were measured for each sapling, as well as the following quality characteristics on selected dominant saplings: width of the crown, number of larger branches and knots (>1/3 DBH), intensity of stem bending, deviation from vertical growth, number of terminal shoots, and the type of damage. The results show a negative effect of high canopy shading (estimated relative light intensity was below 5%) on the architectural quality of saplings. A lower overall density of saplings, greater intensity of bending and deviation from vertical growth, a shorter stem length without branches, a larger number of saplings with two terminal shoots, and a larger number of damaged saplings were observed in small gaps.

BACKGROUND Background: Many women experience urinary incontinence (UI) during andafter pregnancy due to pelvic floor weakness. First-line therapy is conservative treatment, which nowadays can be facilitated by using digitalsolutions. OBJECTIVE The aim ofthe present study was to investigate the efficacy and effectiveness of pelvinain patients with existing UI. METHODS Methods: In the present observational study we analyzed the effectivenessof pelvina, a certified digital pelvic floor training course, in reducing UI symptoms by regularly applying “The Questionnaire for Urinary Incontinence Diagnosis” (QUID) and furthermore examining quality of life (QoL) by conducting the SF-6D. RESULTS Results: In this prospective study, 373 patients with a median age of 36 years (IQR 33 - 47 years) were included. At baseline the patients had a median QUID of 11 (IQR 11 - 15). During the course, incontinence improved significantly to a QUID of 5 (IQR 2 – 11; p<0.001). Additionally, the patients had also shown a significant impairment in their QoL at baseline with a value of 19 (IQR 16 - 22) in SF-6D. After completing the course, the QoL had risen to 24 (IQR 20 - 26). CONCLUSIONS Conclusion: Use of the certified digital pelvic floor course pelvinasignificantly reduces existing UI due to pelvic floor weakness over the timespan of the course. At the same time QoL is significantly improved. CLINICALTRIAL The present study was approved by the ethics committee of the Heidelberg University Hospital (S-392/2019)

We share our experience on the implementation of a multidisciplinary aerodigestive program comprising an aerodigestive team (ADT) so as to evaluate its feasibility. We performed a retrospective chart review of the patients discussed at the monthly ADT meetings and analyzed the data. A total of 98 children were referred to the ADT during the study period. The number of cases increased steadily from 3.5 cases per month in 2019 to 8.5 cases per month in 2020. The median age of patients was 34.5 months, and 55% were male. Among the chronic comorbidities, neurologic disease was the most common (85%), followed by respiratory (36%) and cardiac (13%) disorders. The common reasons for consultation were suspected aspiration (56%), respiratory difficulty (44%), drooling/stertor (30%), regurgitation/vomiting (18%), and feeding/swallowing difficulty (17%). Following discussions, 58 patients received active interventions, including fundoplication, gastrostomy, laryngomicrosurgery, tracheostomy, and primary dilatation of the airway. According to the questionnaire of the caregiver, the majority agreed that the main symptoms and quality of life of patients had improved (88%), reducing the burden on caregivers (77%). Aerodigestive programs may provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary management for children with complex airway and digestive tract disorders.
