AbstractThis research is based on the problem of the low mathematical problem solving ability of students who have a relationship with someone's success in solving a problem that they face. In this case, to overcome this, a class of research was conducted using an open ended approach and ordinary learning. In addition, this research is a quasi-experimental. The population in this study were students of class X MA in Bandung in 2018/2019 academic year. The research sample is all Class X students in one MA in Bandung. Quantitative analysis was performed using the two-difference test and descriptive qualitative analysis was also carried out. The results showed that the ability to solve mathematical problems using the open ended approach was better than those using the usual approach.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dianalisis melalui lembar jawaban siswa Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Salapian dengan sampel penelitian adalah Kelas VII-B yang diberikan perlakukan pembelajaran kontekstual dan kelas VII-C yang diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat perbedaan kemamuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pada penelitian ini didapat bahwa proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik dari proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah.Kata kunci:   Pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuanpemecahan masalah ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtain contextual learning with students who obtain problem-based learning which is analyzed through student answer sheets. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population in this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Salapian with a sample of the study was Class VII-B which was given the treatment of contextual learning and class VII-C given the treatment of problem-based learning. There are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems between students who get contextual learning with students who get problem-based learning. This study aims to (1) find out whether the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who are taught by realistic mathematics learning were higher than those students who were taught using conventional learning; (2) knowing students' learning attitudes towards realistic mathematics learning approaches. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted in class VII of the Junior High School 28 Medan 2017/2018 Academic Year where the population of this study was all class VII. Samples from this study were class VII-G as the experimental class and class VII-F as the control class. Based on the results of the analysis of calculations, the following data are obtained: (1) the results of analysis of realistic mathematical learning on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities using the t-test found that ttable = 1.68 and tcount = 3.6821 so tcount> ttable then concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha be accepted. The mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who are taught by realistic mathematics learning was higher than conventional learning. (2) student responses were very positive towards realistic mathematics learning with an average of ≥ 86.03.

This research is an action research study . The problem formulated in this research is whether through geographical assisted inquiry method , mathematical problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK TI Development on the material of sinus and cosine rules can be improved? The aim is to examine the improvement of problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK IT Development of Cimahi through geogebra assisted inquiry method .This research was conducted on the students of class XI-TEI B SMK IT Development Cimahi academic year 2017-2018 with the number of students 24 people. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes as a test of students' mathematical problem solving abilities of the sin and cosine rules, cycle I , II and II tests (after giving of action) and observation sheet for teachers and students for the conditions of action implementation. R prosedu study consisted of: (1) planning, (2) p elaksanaa n action, (3) observation and evaluation, and (4) r efleksi. The average value of the results of the test cycle II, which is 30 , 25 increased by 16.17 compared to the average value of the results of the test cycle I, namely 14.08. And the average value of the third cycle test results that is 76 , 75 increased by 46.50. Based on the performance indicators, it is concluded that the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK TI Pembangunan Cimahi on the material of sinus and cosine rules can be improved through geogebra assisted inquiry method .

This study aims to determine the effect of mathematical problem solving ability of learners who follow the learning by using an instructional model of maple assisted software assisted, with learners who use, study group investigation model, as well as learners who follow the conventional learning model conducted by researchers on participants Students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. This type of research is a quasi experimental research with posttest only control design design. Hypothesis test using a one-way anava test with unequal cells and obtained the conclusion that the model of group investigation learning is better than an instructional model of maple assisted software group and both models of learning is better than conventional learning model. Based on the results of analysis and discussion of research data obtained that there is an influence on the ability of solving mathematical problems among students in class applying group investigation model assisted maple software, students in class apply only group investigation learning model, and students whose class apply the conventional learning model on the principal Discussion of the matrix.

This research aims to determine enhancing students mathematical problem solving through the implementation of accelerated learning. This study is a quasi experiment with control group pretest-postest design. The study had been conducted with 66 students of SMP in Bandung. The experiment group obtained accelerated learning and control group obtained expository learning. Data was collected from students trough mathematical problem solving test. Data was analyzed using average of difference test that was Mann-Whitney and showed  that the enhancement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who have obtained accelerated learning are better than students who have obtained expository learning.

The purpose of this research is to assess whether the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills using Problem Posing approach is better than those using ordinary learning. The population in this research is MTs Nurul Falah Cimahi. This research instrument in the form of a test of mathematical problem solving skills of five items. This research data is processed using software SPSS Version 22. Data analysis used is test of normality and test of two difference of mean. The result of this research stated that the achievement and improvement of problem solving skills of MTs students using Problem Posing approach is better than the normal learning, and the implementation using Problem Posing approach has been run in accordance with the learning procedure found and the difficulties experienced by students in solving the problem of solving skills mathematical problems are present in indicators of understanding problems, planning problems, implementing problem-solving plans, and re-examination.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas problem-based learning ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan populasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak dengan mengambil 3 kelas dari 7 kelas yang ada, dan terpilih kelas VIII A sebagai kelas ujicoba, kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematis dan skala kemandirian belajar matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem-based learning efektif ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Terdapat perbedaan efektivitas antara problem-based learning dan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan kemandirian belajar matematis.The effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulatedAbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated. This study is quasi-experimental with a population of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung academic year 2017/2018. The sampling was done randomly by taking 3 of 7 classes, and the elected class was VIII A, VIIIB, and VIIIC. Then, the three classes were randomized to determine the tryout class, control, and experimental class. Class VIIIB was selected as an experimental class, VIIIC as a control class and VIIIA as a tryout class. The instrument used was the test of mathematical problem-solving skills, the scale of self-regulated learning and observation sheet of learning implementation. The results of this study showed that problem-based learning is effective in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a difference in effectiveness between problem-based learning and conventional learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a significant relationship between mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning.

The aim of this research is finding students' mathematical problem-solving skills based on high, medium and low initial knowledge. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The research sample used students in VIIIA and students in VIIIB SMPN 1 Kerinci that selected using random sampling techniques. The research data were processed using the t-test and the Mann Whitney test to comparing students' problem-solving skills that using active learning strategy sorting cards and problem-solving skills of students using ordinary learning. The result of data analysis showed that the mathematical problem-solving skill of students with high, medium and low initial knowledge was better than the mathematical problem-solving skill of students with the same initial knowledge that used ordinary learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berdasarkan pengetahuan awal tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa di VIIIA dan siswa di VIIIB SMPN 1 Kerinci yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan uji t dan uji Mann Whitney dengan tujuan membandingkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang menggunakan strategi belajar aktif sortir kartu dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan pengetahuan awal tinggi, sedang dan rendah lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan kemampuan awal yang sama yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil-hasil penelitian terdahulu yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Salah satu pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sebagai akibat dari pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen yang menerapkan dua pembelajaran yaitu pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di salah satu SMK di Kabupaten Garut. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling, dan diperoleh dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional, (2) Kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa ketika mengerjakan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah kesalahan karena kecerobohan atau kurang cermat, kesalahan mentransformasikan informasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan memahami soal.ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the results of previous studies that showed that students' mathematical problem solving ability is not as expected. One lesson to improve mathematical problem solving is based learning problems . The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' mathematical problem solving ability as a result of problem-based learning. This study is a quasi-experimental study that applies two problem-based learning and conventional learning. The population in this study were students in one of the vocational schools in Garut. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, and obtained two classes as the study sample. The research instrument used was a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. Based on these results we concluded that: (1) the increase in students' mathematical problem solving ability that gets problem-based learning better than students who received conventional learning, (2) mistakes made by student when working on the problems related to mathematical problem solving ability was a mistake due to carelessness or less closely, tansform fault information, error process skills, and misunderstanding question.Keywords: problem based learning, mathematical problem solving ability

Abstract:This study aims to determine the application of discovery learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is experimental research with a quasi experimental design. The population in this study were all students of grade VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa with grade VII.A as samples an experimental class and grade VII.C as a control class. The research instruments used a test to solve mathematical problems. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the application of discovery learning model is effective on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu quasi eksperimental design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa dengan sampel pada kelas VII.A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.C sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.
