Students' perceptions about full-day school (FDS) on student learning motivation have been widely studied. However, the relationship found is moderate. Moreover, its relationship with science learning motivation has not been optimally studied. The research paper was aimed to reveal the relationship between students' perceptions of full-day school and motivation to learn science. The correlational method was used in this research. Respondent was 87 learners taken from an Islamic Junior high school in Manokwari. Validated questionnaires were used to measure perception and motivation. Simple regression was used to calculated data. The findings showed that P <0.5, rxy = 0.726, and R square = 0.527. The findings reveal a strong relationship between students' perceptions of FDS on motivation to learn science. The application of FDS in schools has contributed to the students’ motivation to learn science. Scheduling science learning needs to consider motivating students to learn in science.

Introduction: This research presents the relationship between the schools which implemented full day school and which did not apply the full day school to the level of stress students in junior high schools. This was influenced by the existence of regional autonomy as part of government policy and orientation toward quality education institutions. Methods: This research used a quantitative correlational approach to obtain the significance of the relationship between the variables examined.  The sampling technique used  purposive sampling, with samples of 37 students for a group of cases and 37 students to control groups. Data analysis was conducted using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. Results: The results showed that in the case group there were 83.78 experiencing mild stress and 16.22 experiencing moderate stress, while in the control group there were 89.19 experiencing mild stress, and 10.81 experiencing moderate stress with P- value 0.000 (<0.05).Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that more moderate stress levels are found in students who apply the Full Day School System in Junior High School.

ABSTRACT   Parents are the most influential figure in the life of every child. Parental involvement in the learning process can also affect the process of life is huge in children. In addition, the teachers and the learning environment in schools can also influence the motivation to learn so that students can master the student's mastery of concepts in science lessons in schools, especially physics known as a difficult subject among junior high school students. Therefore teachers and learning environments should be supportive atmosphere so that students more motivated to follow the lessons of Natural Sciences. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student motivation by using STEM-based science learning. This study uses a quantitative research with the participation of as many as 28 students of class VIII-5 on one of the Junior High School in Bandung. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire on aspects of learning motivation Need for Achievement, Need for Power aspects, and aspects of the Need for Affiliation. The results showed that the students' motivation to learn the most improved there on aspects Need for Power showed an increase by a margin of 3.53 and an average pretest and posttest of 0.89. It can be concluded that the application of STEM-based science learning can increase students' motivation. Solutions to increase learning motivation towards science subjects can use based learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).  Keywords: Motivation; STEM.

The implementation of e-learning on science learning in Indonesia is a critical issue, especially in the context of implementing a curriculum oriented towards the competency of students in today's digital era. The problem faced by educators is in the social presence; in how to manage effective interaction between teachers-students and students-students. This study aims to innovate e-learning which is Edmodo as a learning management system (LMS) that is suitable for science learning requirements (Light and Optics) in junior high school students. The research method used was a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. The process of developing learning design was arranged through focus group discussion approach (which involves LMS experts, learning evaluation experts, learning strategists, physicists, and teachers) iteratively to obtain learning designs embedded in the Edmodo. The sound learning design was then tested in a small group consisting of eighth-grade students. Responses were measured using a USE questionnaire containing four aspects, i.e., usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction aspects. The results of the trial in the small group will indicate that LMS and learning activities carried out meet student learning needs. These results provide optimism that mobile learning with appropriate strategies can meet the learning needs of science, including in schools that have never used this technology before.

Summary Playing is a pleasure for every child with no exception to the children who have physical disorder and their capability of motion is limited. Children with hearing impairment need appropriate motivation for learning and performing physical activities. This motivation affects also their Physical Education. For students with the hearing impairment, the materials that are supposed to be taught during the physical education lessons are divided according to the level of disability. Under these circumstances, the research is conducted to determine the relationship between the motivation to learn during the Physical Education lessons and the academic achievement among students with hearing impairment. Researchers used traditional Quantitative methods of research with 40 Junior High School students with hearing impairment from Indonesia, Sekolah Menengah Pertama Luar Biasa (SMPLB), category B. We used the questionnaire dealing with learning motivation of children to collect the data. The data were processed using the SPSS and analyzed by descriptive quantitative operations. Results of the study showed, that there is a relationship between learning motivation of Physical Education and learning outcomes of Physical Education among students of Category B SMPLB, where the value of 0,000 is less than 0.05.

Many factors influence cognitive competency in learning, one of which is student motivation. Motivation is an impulse that is contained in a person to try to make behavioral changes that are better in meeting their needs. Learning motivation is basically divided into two, namely intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is motivation that arises from within the individual himself without any coercion or encouragement from others, but on the basis of his own will. While extrinsic motivation is an encouragement from outside a person. This study aims to determine the relationship between intrinsic learning motivation and IPA cognitive learning competencies of class VII students of SMP 16 Padang. This study is a descriptive study that seeks the relationship between two variables. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment correlation formula to see how the relationship between intrinsic learning motivation and science learning cognitive competencies. Correlation analysis to see how much the relationship between motivation and learning competence and t-test analysis contributed to see the significance of a relationship. Data collection techniques used in this study were research instruments in the form of questionnaires on students' metacognitive abilities. The biology learning competency value of VII grade science students of SMP 1 Padang is taken from students' daily test scores in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The results showed that there was no positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and students' IPA cognitive learning outcomes in class VII of 16 Padang Junior High School with a tcount of 0.78, and ttable of 1,697The correlation of learning motivation with learning competencies is in the very low category with a value of r = 0.14.

Motivation to learn is a person’s desire to take part in the learning process. Students are motivated to do an activity for their personal gain to achieve satisfaction from the lessons or the feeling that their needs are fulfilled. During the COVID-19 pandemic, students were forced to shift to learning online. The motivation to study online is related to the student’s achievement. Learning achievement is used as an indicator of the student’s competence in the teaching materials. High achievement can be reached by persistence in learning, which is formed through the learning motivation that will direct the student’s behaviour towards achieving maximum learning achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and student achievement in Prosthetic Orthotic Major at the Health Polytechnic Surakarta. It employs a quantitative research method using a correlation research design. The study used the Google Form Online Questionnaire as an instrument for data collection. The sample included 447 students of the Prosthetic Orthotic Major at the Health Polytechnic Surakarta. The results of the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Spearman’s test and obtained a significant value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a relationship between online learning motivation and student learning achievement. Keywords: online learning motivation, learning achievement, prosthetic orthotics
