ABSTRACTThe development of technology that is termed ad Industrial Revolution 4.0 is an era of innovation developed rapidly that can help the creation of new technology. The research findings developed an Android based instructional media that was named as WINLAB (Wawasan didalam Pembelajaran Laboratorium), it consisted of the introduction of laboratory equipment, and it was expected to ease students in the learning process. It was Mixed Method Research. The research findings showed that this instructional media had the appropriateness with 85% percentage and very valid criterion by the validators of media experts, 96.92% percentage and very valid criterion by the validator of material experts, practicality test by Chemistry subject teachers showed 92% percentage with very practical criterion, the response test of the tenth-grade student of MIA 1 at State Sport Senior High School Riau Province stated that Android based instructional media was very good with 90% percentage. However, this research still consisted of some shortcomings, so it was expected in the future that the effectiveness test would be done to know the effectiveness of the media.  Keywords: WINLAB, android, chemistry instructional media  ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi yang diistilahkan dengan revolusi industri 4.0 merupakan era inovasi yang berkembang sangat pesat sehingga mampu membantu terciptanya teknologi baru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendesain dan uji coba media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi praktikum pengenalan alat laboratorium kimia yang digunakan sebagai sumber belajar yang mudah di akses bagi peserta didik SMA. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis android yang diberi nama “WINLAB” (Wawasan didalam Pembelajaran Laboratorium) yang berisikan tentang pengenalan alat-alat laboratorium yang diharapkan dapat memudahkan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Mixed Method. Research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini memiliki kelayakan oleh validator ahli media dengan persentase 85% dengan kriteria sangat valid, validator ahli materi dengan persentase 96.92% dengan kriteria sangat valid, uji praktikalitas oleh guru kimia dengan persentase 92% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan uji respon peserta didik kelas X MIA 1 SMAN Olahraga Provinsi Riau menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android sangat bagus dengan persentase 90%. Namun, penelitian ini masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan sehingga diharapkan kedepannya dilakukan uji efektifitas untuk mengetahui keefektifan media. Kata kunci: WINLAB, android, media pembelajaran kimia

This research is motivated by students' chemical mastery in learning is still low, especially for abstract concept/theory material. This can be seen from students being less active and lacking memory in following the learning process.  In addition, schools only rely on textbooks that make students less interested in learning and there is no student workbook to support students' understanding. This research aimed at knowing the appropriateness of the instructional media design in the form of Probing-Prompting based student workbook on Periodic System of the Elements lesson.  It was administered at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.  It was R&D (Research and Development) with 4-D model, and it was limited to 3 models—define, design, and development.  The subjects of this research were the experts of material, the experts of media, and the experts of language, Chemistry subject teachers, 10 students at the tenth grade of MIA 1.  The object was Probing-Prompting based student workbook on Periodic System of the Elements lesson.  The research findings showed that Probing-Prompting based student workbook was appropriate to be used and it was based on the results of validity and practicality levels.  The percentage of validity level obtained was 85.78% (very valid) and the practicality level was 85.33% (very practical).  Based on theses results, it could be identified that Probing-Prompting based student workbook could be tested further.

The science learning media available at the Science Laboratory of SMPN 16 Mataram is still incomplete and some are damaged. The purpose of this community service activity is to create learning media based on lesson study at SMPN 16 Mataram. Lesson studies have 3 stages: the plan, do and see stages. At the planning stage, the activity participants are given information about the learning media and the practice of lesson study, after that, it is determined the learning media to be made and the model teacher who will simulate the media in the class. In the do stage, the model teacher simulates the application of instructional media, while the observer observes the activities of the teacher and students. In the see stage, the model teacher describes his experience doing media simulations in the classroom, while the observer provides input and suggestions for improvement in the application of further learning media. The planning phase is carried out on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, while they do and see phase is carried out on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The science learning media produced from lesson study activities according to the agreement on the planning stage consist of a hydraulic system (excavator), alarm earthquake, and portable microscope. The learning media that is simulated for use in the classroom is a portable microscope. The simulation activity of the application of learning media was participated by 30 students of SMPN 16 Mataram, with 4 observers. The making of instructional media with lesson study patterns in community service activities has increased the number of science laboratory equipment at SMPN 16 Mataram.

Undergraduate students have difficulties in understanding abstract concept of Vector Analysis and need visualization to support learning. Prezi-based instructional media developed by consider visual principle that support Vector Analysis learning. This study aims to describe Prezi-based instructional media development and produce Prezi-based instructional media that is suitable for learning. Development refers to ASSURE development model (Analyze learners, State objectives, Select methods, media and materials, Utilize media and materials, Require learners’ participation, and Evaluate and revise). The research instrument consisted of expert assessment sheets, test questions and student response questionnaires. Instructional media is feasible to be used satisfy aspects of validity and effectiveness. Assessment of the validity aspect based on the experts’ judgment that is on a valid criterion. While the assessment of effectiveness aspects based on test results are on quite good criteria and questionnaire responses of undergraduate students are on excellent criteria. Learning media consists of menu sections and content sections. The menu section consists of an overview of the material that will be presented in the media. The content section consists of material that can be zoomed in and zoomed out according to needs and learning videos to visualize the concept of Vector Analysis.

Mixed methods have emerged as the third research community in the social and behavioural sciences during the past decades, joining quantitative and qualitative methods of scholarly inquiry. Mixed methods research, research paradigm, methodology, and action research have encouraged the combined use of quantitative and qualitative research to answer complex questions in recent years. Mixed methods research integrates both methods, the quantitative and the qualitative, to present research findings within a single system process. The chapter aims to provide an insight between mixed method research and action research, which includes the basic foundation of mixed method research and research paradigm. The chapter will discuss the concept of action research and how mixed method is applied to action research and its processes. A brief idea about the future plan of action required for mixed methods research to attain better research designs and processes is also discussed in the chapter.

The future challenges of higher education students for determining their future career in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0, getting more complex. Student may facing career uncertainty, lack of access to information and career development programs, and economic and technological challenges. Previous research shown many student need for career guidance to be addressed for choosing their course study. Student at the University level are grouped into groups of fields according to their choice of interests. Research findings in the field reveal that not a few students have a career decision level that is still not optimal, whereas many as 71% of students still need help regarding career decisions. The existence of this individual intelligence identification application can help students in making career decisions. This is shown by the results of the media use test in the field that 89% of UTY students experienced an increase in career decisions after using Howard Gardner's Multiple intelligence identification application. Thus, the application of multiple intelligence in helping to make career decisions is said to be suitable as a medium to help students make career decisions for UTY students.

This research was instigated by the low of student learning achievement, student learning interest, and the use of internet based instructional media at the school.  It was based on the results of preliminary observation that was conducted in the Chemistry learning process.  The use of Quipper School instructional media aimed at increasing student learning interest in order to increase student learning achievement.  This research aimed at knowing whether there was an effect of learning using Quipper School media toward student learning achievement and interest on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution lesson.  It was an experimental research.  All the tenth-grade students of Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, there were 6 classes and 166 students.  Purposive sampling technique was used in this research.  In this case, the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 3 were selected as the samples based on the observation in the field and Chemistry subject teacher consideration at the school.  There were two instruments, student learning interest questionnaire and learning achievement test question.  Techniques of processing and analyzing the data were descriptive and inferential statistics.  The results of hypothesis testing in this research showed that there was an effect of using quipper school media toward student learning achievement and interest, tobserved ≥ ttable (2.064>9.820) and there was an effect of using Quipper School media toward student learning achievement. The score was tobserved≥ttable (2.064>9.820),   So, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  Based on the research findings, it could be concluded that  there was an effect of learning using Quipper School media  toward student learning achievement and interest on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution lesson.Keywords:     Learning Achievement, Learning Interest,  Quipper School, Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution

The objective of the study were (1) To know the process of teaching writing skill in narrative text at tenth grade of SMK PGRI 3 Kota Serang (2) To find out the result of students writing skill in narrative text by using dispersion imagination at tenth grade of SMK PGRI 3 Kota Serang. This research is used a mixed method research design, classroom action research. The result of the research were (1) the process of teaching narrative text using dispersion imagination in writing skills of two steps; pre-cycle and cycle. The result of research showed that the research in cycle 1, the writer used the move picture, the students to listen and look at the move picture in slide at the Power Point about the material. The students write narrative text from the story by using dispersion imagination. In cycle 2, the use of film is able to improve students writing skill in narrative text and develop idea to write well. While the role of teachers who are not just as facilitators, but also as a motivator and inspirator are also able to provide new supported in the learning process. There is improvement in writing skill of the students after the treatment. It can be seen from their main score of pre-test and post-test. (2) There was improvement in the pre-test main score (41.00), the first post-test mean score (45.00), and the second post-test main score (76.00). The achievement of writing in post-test is 76,00%. In conclusion, there was significant improvement of the students in writing skill in narrative text by using dispersion imagination.

The profile of students’ mental model was very needed to know student successes and difficulties in describing macroscopic, submicroscopic, symbolic representation as the characteristics of chemistry. This research aimed at analyzing the profile of students’ mental model of experimental and control groups, and knowing the effect of Macromedia Flash based learning media toward students’ mental model at the tenth grade of MIA.  This research was conducted in the Academic Year of 2019/2020 at State Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru on Molecular Shapes lesson. It was Mixed Method Research integrating qualitative and quantitative researches with explanatory design. There were 20 students as the samples selected by using Simple Random sampling technique.  Instruments used in this research were two-tier diagnostic test and interview to strengthen the data obtained. The results of analyzing the data showed that the profile of students’ mental model of experimental group using Macromedia Flash based learning media overall had 70% intact mental model and 30% alternative mental model, the control group students had 37% intact mental model and 63% alternative mental model.  The research findings also showed that there was an effect of Macromedia Flash based learning media toward students’ mental model.  The result of hypothesis testing that SPSS was used to help showed sig. (2-tailed) 0.000, it meant that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected.

This study examines the implementation of the "Move to Serve Citizens" (BMW) policy in assessing innovation in public services in Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province. Government leadership in implementing the "Move to Serve Citizens" (BMW) policy was initiated in the RANPERDA RPJMD Tulang Bawang 2017-2024 which is also an arrangement to realize its vision-mission of regional heads to improve community welfare and optimal public services in Tulang Bawang district. Research on the implementation of mobile policies to serve residents in Tulang Bawang Regency (the study of public service innovation uses a mixed-method research type or is often referred to as a mixed method, a research approach that combines associates qualitative and quantitative forms with inductive-deductive thought processes. BMW policy has a significant effect on public services. The research findings revealed that the BMW policy variable, each indicator of this variable, is considered to determine the success of the policy objectives. It has been determined that it has been optimally used to implement the BMW policy by Tulang Bawang Regency successfully.
