New challenging applications and scenarios for converged fixed and mobile Internet infrastructures, require efficient technologies adapting the multicast services for fixed IPv6 infrastructures to heterogeneous mobile environment. This paper discusses architecture aimed to support QoS based mobile multicast in heterogeneous mobile IPv6 environmentusing context transfer between access routers for seamlesshandover of mobile multicast applications. The architecture includes components for policy based QoS management of mobile multicast, reliable mobile multicast support at access routers and optimised handover based on learning of capabilities of access routers and networks.

Along with globally approaching of the 3G era, the progress of mobile communication technology and the development of mobile terminal devices will rapidly promote the mobilization development of traditional Ecommerce. In order to ensure it to achieve further development, secure, flexible and reliable mobile payment system is becoming more and more important. Compared with the payment pattern of ordinary commerce, there will be profound changes in the mobile payment, such as special payment channel, payment carrier and etc. After deep studying about previous payment methods and future 3G communication technology, this paper introduces a new mobile payment model by combining with IC chip, mobile phone and mobile internet, and then gives some improvement measures for current settlement mechanisms in the network transaction, which is entirely around payment channel, payment carrier, security authentication and other key issues in 3G environment. The real time processing of information flow, capital flow and logistics in mobile environment can be easily achieved, forming a complete and reliable business operation for mobile users, which can bring some great conveniences and profound influences for mobile payment industry.

Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) enables a mobile node to be recognized via a single IP address while the node moves between different networks. MIP attains the connectivity to nodes everywhere without user intervention. One general improvement in Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) compared to MIPv4 is the enhanced security. However, there are areas still susceptible to various kinds of attacks. Security approaches for the MIPv6 are still in progress and there are few unsolved concerns and problems. This chapter focuses on MIPv6 security considerations, potential threats, and possible defense mechanisms. The authors discuss and analyze in detail the MIPv6 mobility management and security approaches with respect to the efficiency and complexity and bring forward some constructive recommendations.

Three dimensional modelingis an important issue in the field of computer vision and computer graphics. And because of its universality and usability, human face is one of the mainfocuses of three dimensional modeling. At the same time, the wide spread of mobile internet makes people’s demand of mobile-working and mobile-entertainment become larger and larger.Based on this background, this paper designs and implements a mobile environment compatible 3Dface modeling system based on client-serverarchitecture, and proposes a solution to handle the useless and redundantface data during the pre-processing period of face modeling based on the frames’ continuity assumption.

Information literacy instruction in various countries has expanded in a variety of ways. At universities, it has mainly taken the form of  credit-based courses, lectures, and embedded instruction. While European and American universities carry out more embedded instruction, universities in China focus more on credit-based courses and lectures, leaving embedded instruction in an exploratory stage. This paper is a preliminary study of a research project that aims to investigate the department-based, embedded information literacy instruction among the libraries of 42 "Double-First Class" universities in China. Using East China Normal University Library as an example, this paper discusses the teaching mode, teaching philosophy, teaching design, teaching methods and contents in order to explore how embedded information literacy instruction can make use of the mobile Internet platform. The specific areas to be examined include teaching resources, enhancing classroom interactions, and after-class feed-pushing as part of teaching support. Finally, some recommendations are put forward for the extension and expansion of embedded information literacy instruction.

After the enormous success of the internet and mobile networks, the next upcoming boost for information technology will be the combination of both. But developing applications for this domain is challenging, because first, most mobile devices provide only small memory and processor footprints, prohibiting resource intensive code at client side and second, mobile networks offer only limited bandwidth, and the probability to connection losses is relatively high compared to wired networks. Selecting the appropriate software architecture in terms of distributing the functionality of the system between server and client device is crucial. Application distribution patterns, known from conventional system development, are analysed for their applicability for the mobile environment. After the more abstract analysis of the patterns, the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) which is part of the current specification of 3G mobile networks is introduced and its support for different application distribution patterns is examined.
