<p>This research aims to: (1) find out the differences in mathematical literacy skills of students using the DLPS learning model and those using conventional learning models, (2) find out the differences in students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of verbal skills of students, (3) to find out the interaction of the DLPS learning model in terms of students' verbal skills on mathematical literacy skills of students. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental research and design of Factorial design 3 x 2. The population in this study is all eighth grade students of MTs Muhammadiyah Kampung Baru with the total is 48 people. The sample in this study is the eight-grade A  as a control class while the eight grade B is  as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study is a test of students 'mathematical literacy skills in the form of pretest and posttest and questionnaires to measure students' verbal skills. The data analysis technique used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The result shows that: (1) there is a difference between the application of the DLPS learning model and the conventional model on the mathematical literacy skills of students, (2) there is a difference in students' mathematical literacy skill in terms of vebal skill of students, and (3) there is no interaction effect between the DLPS learning model in terms of verbal skill to mathematical literacy skills of students</p>

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini yaitu masih rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) yang juga sebagai alternatif solusi permasalahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent group pretest-postest design. Instrumen berbentuk tes literasi matematis berupa tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Cianjur tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang tersebar dalam sembilan kelas, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII D sebanyak 27 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBI), dan VIII C sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelas control dengan pembelajaran biasa. Berdasarkan penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI).  Peningkatan tersebut lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan peningkatan pada siswa dengan pembelajaran biasa.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Problem Based Instruction, PBI.  Mathematical Literacy Ability Students through Problem Based Instruction Learning ModelsAbstractThe background of this research is low mathematical literacy ability. The purpose of this research is to find out the differences in increasing students’ mathematical literacy ability between those who use the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model as an alternative solution to the problem and who use ordinary learning. A method in this research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The instruments are a mathematical literacy instrument consisting of the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest). The population in this study were all students at SMP Negeri 5 Cianjur in year 2018/2019 that spread into 9th grade, while the samples chosen with purposive sampling technique were two classes, namely VIII D class as the experimental class which is given Problem Based Learning (PBI) and VIII C as the control class with ordinary learning. Based on the tests of mathematical literacy abilities that have been analyzed it is found that there are differences in mathematical literacy skills students who applied the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning model is were better than ordinary learning. The increase is better when compared to the increase in students with ordinary learning.Keywords: Mathematical literacy ability, Problem Based Instruction, PBI.

The purpose of this research was to effect the ELPSA learning model on students' mathematical literacy abilities, determine the effect of student learning anxiety on mathematical literacy skills, and determine the interaction between learning models and anxiety on mathematical literacy skills. This research is a quantitative type of quasi-experimental research. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires. The test uses an essay with comparative material to measure mathematical literacy skills, while a questionnaire was used to determine the categories of student learning anxiety. The pre-requisite test in this study used the normality and homogeneity test. The data analysis technique used the two-way ANOVA test with different cells. Based on the calculation of ANOVA two ways different cells have obtained a test decision that is rejected, is rejected, and is accepted, it is necessary to carry out a further post ANOVA test using the Scheffe method '. The results showed that: there was an effect of the ELPSA learning model on mathematical literacy skills, there was an effect of student learning anxiety on mathematical literacy skills, and there was no interaction between learning models and student learning anxiety on mathematical literacy abilities.

<p class="Abstract">This study is a Quasi Experimental study with the design of The Pretest-Post-Test Non-Equivalent Group Design. Population in this research is all student of class X SHS in South Jakarta. Sampling is done by purposive sampling, to obtain an experimental class and control class. In the experimental class, students learn with Treffinger learning model and control, class learning with conventional learning. This study is also to examine the differences of self-efficacy improvement and students literacy skills, and decreased students' mathematical anxiety. Also, this study also examines the relevance of early mathematical abilities (high, medium, low) with improving students' math literacy skills. The instrument used in this research is literacy skill test, self-efficacy scale, mathematical anxiety scale, observation sheet, and student interview. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and two lines. From the results of the data, it is found that: (1) The improvement of literacy ability of students who are learned with Treffinger model learning is not significantly higher than students who learn with conventional. (2) The self-efficacy of students who learning with the Treffinger model learning  is better than the student that is learning by conventional. (3) The mathematical anxiety of students learning with Treffinger model learning reduces better than students learning with conventional. (4) There is a difference in the improvement of students' mathematical literacy skills learning by learning the Treffinger model and students learning with conventional learning based on early mathematical abilities. (5) Student response to Treffinger model learning is better than students learning with conventional learning. Therefore, learning model Treffinger can be an alternative model of learning to improve students' mathematical literacy skills, and self-efficacy students, and able to reduce mathematical anxiety.</p>

The learning outcomes of mathematics are one of the benchmarks of the high and low quality of a mathematics learning process. This study aims to find out how the effectiveness of STAD type cooperative learning model with the help of worksheets on mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students at MTs. Muhammadiyah Palleko in Takalar in 2014/2015 academic year. This research is quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental research. The instrument used in this study is the essay type learning test with a sample of 35 people, and the sampling technique used is saturated samples. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of descriptive analysis obtained the average of the two groups, namely the experimental class before treatment (pre-test) of 59.16 and after the surgery of (posttest) 75.61, the average pre-test control class was 54.56, and the post-test average is 58.25. Whereas based on the results of relative efficiency and inferential analysis it can be concluded that the STAD type of cooperative learning model with the help of LKS is effective in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of the eighth-grade students of MTs. Muhammadiyah Palleko District of Taylar.

The purpose of this research are: 1) to know the learning activity of learners mathematics which is taught by Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS), and 2) model to know the ability of problem solving of mathematics learners who taught by SSCS learning model in the class XI MIA MAN 1 Muara Labuh academic year 2016/2017. This research belongs to a kind of quasi-experimental research with randomized control group only design. In this study design, a group of subjects taken from a particular population were randomly assigned into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. After analyzing the data, it is known that the learning activity of the students after applying the SSCS learning model has improved towards the better from the first meeting to the fifth meeting, ie 35%, 45%, 55%, 68%, 77%. Based on the hypothesis test obtained ttable = 1.645 and tcount = 2.598 so obtained (2.598> 1.645) at 95% confidence interval. Because tcount > ttable then hypothesis in this research accepted. Thus, students 'math-problem-solving skills taught by SSCS learning models are higher than the students' uneducated mathematical problem-solving skills with SSCS learning modelsKeywords: Problem solving abilities, search, solve, sreate and share (SSCS) learning models

The ability to solve problems is a skill that students need to have in dealing with various problems in life. This study aims to determine the effect of problem based learning models; cognitive styles and interaction between both factors on science learning outcomes of students in class VII of MTs 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur in academic year 2015/2016. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental research method by applying a 2 × 2 factorial design. The study sample consisted of an experimental class of 30 students and a control class of 29 students. Data collection was conducted using two types of instruments, namely the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) to measure students cognitive styles and students' learning outcomes test in essay forms. The Problem Based Learning model affect the learning outcomes, there is significant difference in science learning outcomes between students who have Cognitive field dependent (FD) style that is taught by the Problem Based Learning model and students who have Cognitive FD style that is taught by conventional learning models. The results show that the value of the experimental class post-test is higher than that of the control class. In short, the experimental class with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in the learning process provides higher learning outcomes than that of the conventional models.

This research was conducted to explain the effect of the learning model CIRC and reading interest on the results of the descriptive essay writing skills of class X SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang. This type of research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method and a 2x2 factorial experimental design. The population of this study was students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a sample size of 60 students. Data collection was carried out using two instruments, namely questionnaires and performance tests. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that four things are as follows. First, the skills of writing essays of descriptions of students taught using the learning model CIRC are better than those taught by conventional learning models of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang. Second, the writing skills of students who have high reading interest who are taught using the learning model CIRC are higher than students who have high reading interest who are taught using the conventional learning model of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang. Third, the writing skills of students who have low reading interest who are taught using the learning model CIRC are higher than students who have low reading interest who are taught using the conventional learning model of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang. Fourth, there is no interaction between reading interest and learning models in influencing the writing skills of descriptive essays of class X SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan :(1) Untuk mengetahui hasil belajar pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TST lebih tinggi dari mahasiswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. (2) Untuk mengetahui hasil belajar  pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya belajar teoritis dan mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya belajar pragmatis. (3) Untuk mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan gaya belajar  terhadap hasil belajar pengantar bisnis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Methodist Indonesia. Populasi berjumlah 180 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2 dilanjutkan dengan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Scheffe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) hasil belajar pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT; (2) hasil belajar pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya belajar teoritis lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar pengantar bisnis mahasiswa yang memiliki gaya belajar pragmatis; (3) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan gaya belajar  dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar mahasiswa.  Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif, TST, NHT, gaya belajar, pengantar bisnis.  Abstract: This study aims: (1) To find out the introductory learning outcomes of business students who are taught with the cooperative learning model of the TST type are higher than students who are taught with the cooperative learning model of the NHT type. The results showed: (1) the results of introductory business learning students who were taught with the cooperative learning model type TSTS were higher than the results of introductory business learning students who were taught with the NHT type cooperative learning model; (2) the results of introductory business learning students who have theoretical learning styles are higher than the results of introductory business learning students who have pragmatic learning styles; (3) there is an interaction between cooperative learning models and learning styles in influencing student learning outcomes. Keywords: cooperative learning model, TST, NHT, learning style, business introduction.

This study aims to analyze the differences in scientific attitudes of students using inquiry training learning models with direct instruction learning models. This research is a quasi-experimental study. In this study there are two classes that are used as an experimental class and a control class, the experimental class is a class that is treated with learning with inquiry training models, while the control class is a class using the direct instruction learning model. The instrument used consisted of a questionnaire to measure students' scientific attitudes in the posttest, as well as an observation sheet. The results of this study indicate that the average value of the scientific attitude of learning in the experimental class is 75.01 with a standard deviation of 7.373, while in the control class is 71.60 with a standard deviation of 7.935. The results of this research suggest that inquiry training learning model is a solution and an alternative choice for teachers in improving students' scientific attitudes. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan sikap ilmiah siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dengan model pembelajaran direct instruction. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, kelas eksperimen merupakan kelas yang diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model inquiry training, sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah kelas dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran direct instruction. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari berupa angket untuk mengukur sikap ilmiah siswa dalam posttest, serta lembar observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai sikap ilmiah belajar pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,01 dengan simpangan baku sebesar 7,373, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 71,60 dengan simpangan baku sebesar 7,935. Hasil penelitan ini menyarankan bahwa model pembelajaran inquiry training merupakan solusi dan alternatif pilihan guru dalam meningkatkan sikap ilmiah siswa. This study aims to determine the level of mathematical literacy skills in the integrated thematic book on the theme of saving creatures in grade 6 used by the students. This research approach is descriptive qualitative and the type of research is literature. Primary data sources are integrated thematic books on the theme of saving living beings in grade 6 and secondary data sources are references to support students' mathematical literacy abilities. The data processing technique is done by editing, organizing, and drawing conclusions. The data analysis technique used is the content analysis which aims to provide systematic and printed written information and discussion. The results showed that the mathematics literacy skills of students in grade 6 SD were at level one, two, and three. Level three explains that students can carry out procedures clearly, including procedures that require sequential decisions.
