Light exercises (gymnastics) are highly recommended to reduce dysmenorrhea but during this adolescent only use medical therapy drugs to reduce the pain felt. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of dismal gymnastics on menstrual pain in adolescent girls 8th grade of SMPN 2 Sooko Mojokerto regency. The research design is Pre-Experimental Design with Static Group Comparison approach. The research variables are dysmenorrhea gymnastic as independent variable and dysmenorrhea pain as the dependent variable. The study population is all students of 8th grade who experienced menstrual pain in SMPN 2 Sooko as many as 54 people. A sample of 48 students taken with cluster sampling technique. Data were collected with pain scale observation sheets, and the results were tested with the Wilcoxon test. The results of Wilcoxon test showed that there was the influence of discharging gymnastics on menstrual pain in 8th grade of SMPN 2 Sooko Mojokerto. which is indicated by ρ = 0,000 and α = 0,05 so that ρ <α then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Gymnastics dysmenorrhea with several movements that can provide a sense of comfort and calm so that it can affect the response of pain experienced by respondents. Students are expected to apply dysmenorrhea gymnastics to be able to relieve the pain of dysmenorrhea pain experienced so that the pain experienced can be reduced and respondents not only rely on pharmacological drugs in reducing the pain experienced.

The period of menarche in Indonesia has reached 60-70% who experience dysmenorrhea and cause women to be unable to carry out activities and reduce women's quality of life. This study aims to describe the effect of acupressure therapy on the intensity of menstrual pain. This type of quantitative research is a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach with sampling using a purposive sampling technique using 100 respondents from April 20 to June 21 2020. The data was obtained from a questionnaire and processed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed the overall data of the variable dysmenorrhea pre test - post test in the intervention group Asymp value. The significance is 0.000 <0.05, while the control group has Asymp value. The significance is 1,000 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the results of the analysis of changes in the pain scale pre-test - post-test in the intervention group showed a significant change between the pre-test and post-test pain scales. It can be seen from the measurement results of the Mean Rank pain scale before therapy is 0.00 and Mean Rank after therapy is 25.50 which means there is a decrease in the intensity of menstrual pain. Based on the results of the research above, adolescents need to add information and understanding through various mass media to equip themselves in dealing with complementary menstrual pain

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Most elders with gout arthritis pain choose analgesic to deal with their pain. Massage efflurage using red ginger is a therapy to reduce gout arthritis pain. The objective of research was to find out the effectiveness of message efflurage using red ginger in relieving gout arthritis pain in elders. METHOD: The research design employed in this study was pre-experimental one group pre-posttest design. Independent variable was massage efflurage using red ginger and dependent variable was gout arthritis pain in elders. The population of research was all elders in Kedungbendo Village of Mojokerto Regency, consisted of 36 elders. The sample of research consisted of 33 elders taken using probability simple random sampling technique used. Pretest-posttest data were collected using numerical pain scale observation sheet. RESULT: The result of pretest-posttest obtained from 8 respondents with severe pain showed that their pain change into mild (5 respondents) and moderate pains (3). Out of 21 respondents, 9 respondents showed that their pain changed from moderate into no pain, 10 respondents into mild pain and 2 stable. Out of 4 respondents with mild pain, all of them showed that their pain changed into no pain. CONCLUSION: The result of Wilcoxon test showed 0.000 ≤ α= 0.05, meaning that there is an effective effect of massage efflurage using red ginger on the relief of gout arthritis pain in elders. This result indicated that massage efflurage using red ginger affected the gout arthritis pain scale in elders. Respondents are expected to reduce the consumption of analgesics and to switch to a safe alternative therapy to reduce negative effect related to aging process experienced by elders.   Keywords: Gout Arthritis, Massage Efflurage, Red Ginger

Abstract : Reflexology, Decreased Menstrual Pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of reflexology massage on the decrease of menstrual pain (Dysmenorrhea) in women at the Aisyiyah Putri Orphanage Klaten District. The design used in this research is the experiment with the design of Time series design. The sampling technique used Cluster sampling approach. Samples taken on women who have menstrual and experienced menstrual pain (disminore) as many as 30 people. conclusions Menstrual pain (desminore) was felt before reflexology in women at the 2016 Women's Orphanage at Klaten Region was classified as mild disturbing pain (scale 3.4 measured through Visual Analog Scale). Menstrual pain (desminore) was felt after a reflexology treatment in women at the Putri Panti Putri Klaten Tahun 2016 was classified as a mild pain (1.63 scale measured through Visual Analog Scale)

Adolescent girls will experience changes in the reproductive system marked by menstruation. Menstruation experienced in adolescents is often accompanied by complaints of menstrual pain. Menstrual pain can interfere with daily activities, so it requires treatment to reduce menstrual pain. One way of handling that can be done is with aromatherapy. Lavender and peppermint aromatherapy is a treatment that uses lavender and peppermint essential oils which contain linalool and linalyl acetate which are useful for reducing menstrual pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy with peppermint on the menstrual pain scale in adolescent girls. The research design used was quantitative, quasi-experimental method with a two-group pre-test and post-test design with a sample of 14 respondents, 7 respondents in the lavender aromatherapy group and 7 respondents in the peppermint aromatherapy group. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling. The instrument used is a numerical rating scale (NRS). Data were processed by Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that lavender aromatherapy and lemon aromatherapy are effective in reducing menstrual pain scale with p value 0.001 (p < 0.05). Levender aromatherapy and peppermint aromatherapy were effective in reducing menstrual pain scale, but there was no significant difference in reducing pain scale in both lavender and peppermint therapy groups.

Introduction: Toothbrushing practice is a common problem encountered in maintaining children's dental and oral hygiene. The Bass Technique introduces to improve the practice of toothbrushing and promotes dental/oral hygiene among school-aged students. This study aimed to know the effect of the toothbrushing simulation method with bass technique on the dental and oral hygiene practice in Pulo Lor III Elementary School. Methods: This was a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was 49 students aged between 7 to 10 years old in Pulo Lor III Elementary School. Thirty students selected for the study by the purposive sampling technique. The independent variable was the toothbrushing method with the bass technique, while the dependent variable was dental and oral hygiene. An observation sheet and OHI-S questionnaire were employed to collect the study data. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test used to analyze the study data collected. Results: The result revealed after the implementation of the bass technique, the number of participants with poor practice of dental and oral hygiene was increasing by a total of 0 (0%), followed by good and moderate practice of oral hygiene with a percentage of 13 (43.3%) and 17 (56.7%), respectively (p=0.000). The dental and oral hygiene observed after and before the implementation of the bass technique was also significant, with the value of p of 0.000. Conclusion: Toothbrushing with bass technique significantly affected the dental and oral hygiene among students aged between 7 to 10 years old in Pulo Lor III Elementary School, Jombang District.

Menstruation is a sign of reproductive period in women’s life. But for some women are not like that, there are various kinds of disorders and discomfort when menstruation, such as premenstrual syndrome, dismenorhoe. Based on preliminary studies in midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura on Maret 20th 2016 from 107 female students of semester 4 to 59 female students (55,1%) experienced dismenorhoe, and 48 female students (44,9%) did not experience dismenorhoe. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ginger therapy toward the decreasing of dismenorhoe pain. The research methods are experiment (Experiment Research). The study design used One Group Pre-Post Test Design model and the sampling technique used accidental. Independent variable in this study was giving of ginger therapy and the dependent used variable in this study was reduction of pain scale dismenorhoe. The instrument used rating scale through observations of respondents before and after given ginger therapy. The samples were taken mostly the female students who experienced dismenorhoe in Midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura were 51 respondents. And the results were analyzed using wilconox test (α = 0,05). The result showed that some respondents befor giving ginger therapy were almost experiencing pain dismenorhoe were 47,1 %. While almost all respondents after given ginger therapy was experiencing of lowing pain dismenorhoe were 78,4%. Based on wicoxon statistic test found the significant value 0,00 and α = 0,05. Because of significant value < α values (0,00 < 0,05) means that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. So, there is the effect of ginger therapy toward the decreasing of dismenorhoe pain at Midwifery Academy Aifa Husada Madura The research should be used as a reference material as a herbal medicine to decrease dismenorhoe pain.

Pain in futsal players experienced the highest incidence of 48.8% in each match. Non-pharmacological techniques are effective ways to relieve pain, including cold compresses and warm compresses. As a community nurse can apply the therapy for pre-hospital treatment. The study aims to determine the differences in the effectiveness of warm compresses and cold compresses against pain in futsal players in the Forza Futsal field in Yogyakarta. This type of research is an experimental research pre-posttest control group design. The sample in this study is a futsal player who experienced pain in the Forza Futsal Field totaling 32 respondents. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. The research instrument was the Bourbanais pain scale value. Analysis of research data using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Withney test. the pre-posttest pain scale on the warm compress group was 4.00 and 2.00. The pre-posttest pain scale score of the cold compress group was 5.00 and 2.50. Bivariate test of pre-posttest pain scale score of warm compresses and cold compresses obtained p values ​​of 0,000 and 0,000. The posttest bivariate test between warm compresses and cold compresses showed a p-value of 0.683. There is the effect of warm compresses and cold compresses on pain in futsal players at Forza Futsal Field. There is no difference in the effectiveness of warm compresses and cold compresses against pain in futsal players at Forza Futsal Field.

Bacground: Complaints in critical patients are an unpleasant experience as long as patients are admitted to the ICU. Critical patients with pain are still common and need collaboration to reduce patients in the ICU.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the Pain Level Description of Critical Patients with Sleep Hygiene Care in the Intensive Care Unit.Method: Research design is descriptive-analytic. The study population was all critical patients in the ICU. The study sample was a portion of critical patients who received 170 sleep hygiene care patients. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research variable is a description of the patient's pain level. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were collected and analyzed using the frequency distribution method.Result: The results of the pain indicator on the Facial Expression study found that the majority of respondents showed grimacings (46.6%), Body movements study found that most showed restlessness (39.4%), Vocalization found that almost all respondents showed Tolerating ventilator or movement / Talking in normal tone / no sound (72.9%), Muscle tension assessment found that most respondents showed Relaxed as much (51.8%). The results of the study showed that the pain scale based on CPOT of the majority of respondents had mild pain as many as 64 respondents (37.6%).Conclusion: Pain description in critical patients with sleep hygiene care shows that there are still many patients who feel pain and need identification and further intervention to reduce it.

The background of cord care is to keep the umbilical cord clean, dry and help protect newborns from possible infections. The umbilical cord fades faster and reduces the risk of infection. The content of breast milk, namely leukocyte cells, proteolytic enzymes, and immunological substances that can help accelerate the release of the umbilical cord. The study aimed to determine the effect of topical breastfeeding on the length of umbilical cord release in newborns at BPM Anatapura and Setia Palu BPM. The method used was pre-experiment with Static Group Comparison. The study population was all newborns aged 0 days until the cord was released, born at BPM Anatapura and BPM Setia Palu. The sample was divided into 2 groups (intervention and control), the number of samples was 15 for each group, so that a total of 30 samples were taken by consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate with Independent t-test. The results showed that the mean cord release in the topical breastfeeding group (102.7+ 22.08 hours) was smaller than the open dry treatment group (145, 36+ 37.63 hours) in the 95% CI with ρ-value of 0.001. The topical ASI group had a chance of 1.42 times (42.66 hours) experiencing umbilical cord release more quickly than the open dry treatment group. The conclusion of the study was the effect of topical breastfeeding on the length of umbilical cord release. The results of the study can be used as reference references in providing health services, especially simple umbilical cord care using topical breast milk.
