What is an underground? Is it possible to embed this particular way of life into any definition? After all, even underground did not have the need to define itself at the beginning. The presented text represents a brief reflection of the development of underground in Czechoslovakia; attention is paid to the impulses from the West, which had a significant influence on the underground. The text focuses on the key events that influenced the underground. For example, the “Hairies (Vlasatci)” Action, which took place in 1966, and the State Security activity in Rudolfov in 1974. The event in Rudolfov was an imaginary landmark and led to the writing of a manifesto that came into history as the “Report on the Third Czech Musical Revival.”

While in recent years a great deal has been written to clarify Germany's medical past, the picture is not yet complete in several important respects. In the realm of the sociology of medicine, for example, we still do not know enough about physicianpatient relationships from, say, the founding of the Second Empire to the present. On the assumption, based on the meager evidence available, that this relationship had an authoritarian structure from the physician on downward, did it have anything to do with the shape of German medicine in the Weimar Republic and, later, the Third Reich? Another relative unknown is the role of Jews in the development of medicine as a profession in Germany. Surely volumes could be written on the significant influence Jews have exerted on medicine in its post-Wilhelmian stages, as well as the irreversible victim status Jewish doctors were forced to assume after Hitler's ascension to power

Functional and structural damages of tubulointerstitium are caused by proteinuria. The aim of this study was to assess the influence of different proteinuria levels on Na+, K+, Cl tubular transport. We examined 50 patients (24 males, 26 females), mean age 46.50 ? 13.08 years, with mean creati-nine clearence of 87.29 ? 31.17 mL/min. They were separated in three groups depending on proteinuria value. The first group with proteinuria less than 0.3 g/24h included 19 persons (7 males, 12 females), mean age 45.12 ? 13.28 years, with mean creatinine clearance of 94.27 ? 34.70 mL/min. The second group of 18 patients (8 males, 10 females), mean age 45.39 ? 12.64 years had proteinuria of 0.3-3,0 g/24h and mean creatinine clearance of 90.07 ? 31.89 mL/min. The third group had proteinuria level higher than 3.0g/24h and mean creatinine clearance of 73.25 ? 20.44 mL/min. It included 13 patients (9 males, 4 females), mean age 50.08 ? 13.73 years. As a parameter of proteinuria influence on tubular transport of Na+, K+ and Cl-, fractional excretion of these electrolytes, was studied. Student's T test, Mann Whitney U test and c2 test were used for statistical analysis. No statistically significant influence of proteinuria was found on Na+, K+ and Cl tubular transport.

The influence of light intensity to the light fishing practices commonly tends to increase. Fishermen believe that with the higher intensity of light the bigger catch they have. This phenomenon stimulated us to a research that during was done three weeks on September 2004 in Pemalang West Java. Mini purse seine is conduct at north coast of Java use payaos and light artificial for fish attractive. LI COR 250 quantum metre (μmol sɹ mɲ) was used for light intencity at different lamps amount and EY 500 acoustic to obtain the data of fish school in influence of lamp light. At the first detecting (A) fish school was concentrated in high intensity area, the second detecting (B) the concentration was closer to the ship, the third detecting (C) fish school increased, and the forth detecting (D) fish school was consentrated in catchable area. The results show that the cath rate was 125.7 kg per setting. The difference of lamps amount with a small intensity did not show significant influence to the catch haul.

Observations were made on 475 fetuses carried by 71 pregnant rabbits. 63 or 88.7 per cent of the 71 does were sacrificed from 28 to 31 days after the last fertile mating, and these does bore 401 or 88.2 per cent of the total of 455 fully developed fetuses. The following information was available with reference to each fetus: age, weight, weight of corresponding placenta, horn, i.e., right or left, presentation, and position or order. The presentation indicated that part, head or breech, which was directed toward the vagina, and position or order, the relative locus of the fetus in the horn, the first position being that nearest the ovary. As the gestation period approached its normal limit of 31 days, the relative daily increase in mean fetal weight was progressively retarded. There was no significant difference between the number of fetuses in each uterine horn. Head presentation was significantly more frequent than breech, but the uterine horn in which the fetus was located had no influence on its presentation. A greater relative number of breech presenting fetuses was observed in the third position than in the other positions. Presentation did not exert a significant influence on fetal weight. Fetal weight at or near term was significantly influenced by the position or order in the uterine horn. In general, the weights of fetuses implanted high up nearest the ovary were greater than those developing nearest the outlet, and fetuses occupying intermediate positions had intermediate weights. When, however, only two fetuses were present in a horn, position had no effect on their weights. A significant positive coefficient of correlation was observed between fetal and placental weights. Moreover, placental weight was influenced by position in the uterine horn in exactly the same manner that fetal weight was so influenced. The factors which produced variability in fetal weight at or near term, did not account for the abnormally low birth weights of the dwarf rabbits observed in this laboratory.

Hydrostatic spindles are widely used in precision optical grinder and lathe. Their high precision comes from the error averaging effect of oil film. The purpose of this paper is to give the quantitative analysis of the error averaging effect for a newly developed axial locking-prevention hydrostatic spindle. An approximate error motion model of the hydrostatic spindle is established to analyze the internal relationship between the geometric errors of the shaft and the error motions of the spindle including radial, tilt and axial error motions. The theoretical analysis shows that, the roundness errors of the two journals have a major impact on error motions while the coaxiality errors of two journals, the perpendicularity errors of front thrust plate and the coaxiality errors of the land of back thrust bearing, have no significant influences on error motions. The elliptical component of roundness errors of the two journals has significant influence on the axial error motion but no influence on the pure radial and tilt error motions, resulting into the fourth harmonic component of axial error motion. The trilobal component of roundness errors of the two journals has significant influence on the pure radial and tilt error motions but no influence on the axial error motion, resulting in the third harmonic component of pure radial and tilt error motions. The changes of recess pressures are not necessary condition for the error motions. Additionally, the experiment analysis shows that, the third harmonic component is the main part of the measured radial error motion and the third, fourth harmonic components are the main parts of the measured face error motion, which can be reasonably explained by the theory. The model proposed in this paper can be used to guide the precision design and optimization of hydrostatic spindle.
