ABSTRACTThe present work, was realized for the characterization of the persons able in the use of the Communications and Information Technology, in a Higher Public Education School, the first step showed the problematic situation to avoid and stablishing the methodology of the task (with an mixed method), under theoretical perspective of innovation and inclusion of technology in the classroom. The results were sustained, with the participation of 63 people, 6 of them were in the qualitative part, using semi – structured interview, as a tools of recovering data, and a 57 people, in the quantitative phase, using a test with 30 questions of multiple choice, equally as a tool for recovering data.RESUMENEl presente trabajo, se realizó para caracterizar a las personas competentes en el uso de las TIC dentro de una Institución Educación de Educación Superior, se procedió a plantear la problemática y establecer la meto-dología de trabajo (con enfoque mixto), bajo la perspectiva teórica de la innovación y de la inclusión de tecno-logía en el aula.

Palavras-chave: Morte, Equipe de enfermagem, Assistência ao paciente.ABSTRACTObjective: This study aimed to identify the meanings of emerging death of the nursing staff working in the Emergency Units and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a medium-sized entity located in southern Minas Gerais. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional qualitative field research. The sample was composed of 8 nurses, 22 technicians and 4 nursing assistants, totaling 34 professionals. It was used a tool of personal and professional characterization of the nursing team and a semi-structured interview. Sampling was intentional. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews, that were recorded and transcribed. The methodological guidelines of the Collective Subject Speech were used for the selection of the central ideas and corresponding key expressions, from which the speeches of the subjects were taken, in the hospital setting. Results and discussion: to examine the topic "death meanings" yielded the following core ideas: "pass", "different meanings", "end of life" and "end and beginning of another life." Conclusion: The conceptions about the death theme for the professional participants of this study reinforces the need for studies on the subject during their academic training. It is certain that they will experience this type of situation on their daily professional routine, therefore there is a need to prepare them psychologically for this. Keywords: Death, Nursing staff, Patient care.

Foreign language anxiety (FLA) has a debilitating influence on the oral performance of EFL speakers. Over the past decade, most research in MALL has emphasized the use of mobile applications on improving language skills, but little research has explored the impact of using video recording tool to decrease foreign language speaking anxiety (FLSA). Hence, this study examines the effect of using video recording tool on students' EFL speaking anxiety. Twenty-eight pre-intermediate freshmen at Van Lang University, Vietnam, participated in a seven-week project. In this research, mixed method was used in combination with three data collection instruments: questionnaire, observation notes, semi-structured interview. The results indicated that video recording tool significantly lowers EFL speaking anxiety. Therefore, this study makes a major contribution to research on FLA by exploring freshmen's anxiety causes and its impacts on learners' oral performance and offering a technique to help them overcome that phobia: mobile phone video recording.

One of the tools that indicate the relationship between concepts is the volume of concept. Volume of concept is displayed that the relations between the concepts of the subject are exhibited in a meaningful harmonious and circular manner in a certain order. The purpose of this research; to be able to determine the usefulness volume of concept, from association tools of concept, in educational process. A mixed method was used in this study. Frequency and percentage values were calculated using comparative samples in the quantitative aspect of the study. In the qualitative aspect of work was used structured interview form, face to face interviews which were identified to code-categories and analyzed the data. As a result of the work, students had difficulty in drawing the volume of concept but they had expressed that the volume of concept was clearer. Moreover, it was determined that the rate of preference volume of concept during the exam was low. It can be said that use of the ready-made form of the volume of concept was increases although a small proportion of students prefer concept volume when presented in the same way with another tools. Various suggestions have been made as a result of the research.

The present work is an attempt to analyze the various researches already carried out from the theoretical perspective in the field of soft computing based time series analysis, characterization of chaos, and theory of fractals. Emphasis has been given in the analysis on soft computing based study in prediction, data compression, explanatory analysis, signal processing, filter design, tracing chaotic behaviour, and estimation of fractal dimension of time series. The present work is a study as a whole revealing the effectiveness as well as the shortcomings of the various techniques adapted in this regard.

This paper examines the alignment success factors necessary to improve logistics cost when implementing an ERP system taking a work system theoretical perspective. Organizations attempting to decrease logistics costs via an ERP implementation must consider the processes and activities involved in aligning participants, information, technology, and business process in these ERP implementations. We used a two-step approach, conducting a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to assess the psychometric properties of our measures and then conducting an independent sample t-test between two groups, one which experienced decreased logistic costs and the second which experienced the same or increasing logistic costs. This research has provided more insight into the practice of ERP implementations and has reemphasized the need to judge ERP success relative to impact on firm performance.

This chapter uses the theoretical perspective of dialogism to examine how two suburban secondary math teachers use technology in the classroom to enhance language and content knowledge development for English learner students. Data for this study includes teacher lesson plans, transcripts of recorded lessons, and teacher reflections and is analyzed using a collective case approach. Results indicate that communicative acts in the classroom fall along a communication spectrum, and uses of specific technologies to increase dialogic interaction among students and between students and teachers are discussed. Thoughtful use of certain technologies may enhance opportunities for English learner students to claim a voice in the classroom and improve their language skills.
