Bouc-Wen model is a kind of more representative differential hysteretic model, which has the advantages of strong universality and parameters easily identification and that can better approximate the hysteresis curve. By using nonlinear system dynamics circuit theory, Bouc-Wen mathematical model is transformed into circuit model, the simulation results test the validity of the designed circuit and a physical circuit board is finally made. An experimental setup is established with the data acquisition card and related software. Circuit debugging and signal output under typical excitation of the circuit board are performed, the results show that the circuit board is be feasible to demonstrate the Bouc-Wen model.

The principles and methods of chaos generation are researched using piecewise linear circuit theory. The chaos generation circuit based on integrated operational amplifiers is designed to realize chaos. Simulation results of the circuit are got using Multisim software. It indicates that using this method, the relationships and laws between chaos and various circuit element parameters can be better found out.


Ideally, secure transmission of medical image data is one of the major challenges in health sector. The National Health Information Network has to protect the data in confidential manner. Storage is also one of the basic concern along with secure transmission. In this paper we propose an algorithm that supports confidentiality, authentication and integrity implementation of the scrambled data before transmitting on the communication medium. Before communication the data is compressed while keeping data encrypted. The research work demonstrate with simulation results. The results shows that the proposed work effectively maintains confidentiality, authentication and integrity. The experimental results evaluated medical image quality like PSNR, MSE, SC, and NAEetc.

This paper presents a relatively new concept for the design and implementation of a grid-tie inverter for photo voltaic (PV) systems. The proposed method will eliminate the uses of battery pack hence overall cost of any PV project will be significantly reduced. As the output of any PV array varies with the variation of solar irradiance hence a boost converter with PID regulated variable duty cycle has been used to keep a constant input to the inverter. Multilevel inverter topology has been proposed for utility grid connectivity. The proposed design is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink and a prototype is also implemented to verify the simulation results. The controllers are implemented in Arduino microcontroller board.

In contrast to the existing electromechanical systems, the noncontact-type capacitive measurement allows for a chemically and mechanically isolated, continuous, and inherently wear-free measurement. Integration of the sensor directly into the container’s wall offers considerable savings potential because of miniaturization and installation efforts. This paper presents the implementation of noncontact (NC)-type level sensing techniques utilizing the Programmable System on Chip (PSoC). The hardware system developed based on the PSoC microcontroller is interfaced with capacitive-based printed circuit board (PCB) strip. The designer has the choice of placing the sensors directly on the container or close to it. This sensor technology can measure both the conductive and nonconductive liquids with equal accuracy.

A humanoid robot is inherently complex due to the heterogeneity of accessory devices and to the interactions of various interfaces, which will be exponentially increased in multiple robotics collaboration. Therefore, the design and implementation of multiple humanoid robotics (MHRs) remains a very challenging issue. It is known that formal methods provide a rigorous analysis of the complexity in both design of control and implementation of systems. This article presents an agent-based framework of formal modeling on the design of communication and control strategies of a team of autonomous robotics, to attain the specified tasks in a coordinated manner. To ensure a successful collaboration of multiple robotics, this formal agent-based framework captures behaviors in Petri Net models and specifies collaboration operations in four defined operations. To validate the framework, a non-trivial soccer bot set was implemented and simulation results were discussed.

Abstract Electrical Chip Board Interaction (e-CBI) has emerged as a new risk in chip design as silicon die can directly interact with printed circuit board (PCB) in substrate-less wafer level packaging technology. To assess this risk Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has converted an existing test chip to wafer level packaging technology. Both the measured data and simulation results show that e-CBI risk is significant and must be carefully managed.

The complex grid of scroll chaotic attractors that are generated through nonlinear electronic circuits have been raised considerably over the last decades. In this paper, it is shown that a subclass of Cellular Nonlinear Networks (CNNs) allows us to generate complex dynamics and chaos in symmetry pattern. A novel grid of scroll chaotic attractor, based on a new system, shows symmetry scrolls about the origin. Also, the equilibrium points are located in a manner such that the symmetry about the line x=y has been achieved. The complex dynamics of system can be generated using CNNs, which in turn are derived from a CNN array (1×3) cells. The paper concerns on the design and implementation of 2×2 and 3×3 2D-grid of scroll via the CNN model. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations of the derived model are included. The simulation results reveal that the grid of scroll attractors can be successfully reproduced using PSpice.

Purpose This paper aims to present an efficient method to improve quality factor of printed fractal inductors based on electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) surface. Design/methodology/approach Hilbert fractal inductor is designed and simulated using high-frequency structural simulator. To improve the quality factor, an EBG surface underneath the inductor is incorporated without any degradation in inductance value. Findings The proposed inductor and Q factor are measured based on well-known three-dimensional simulator, and the results are compared experimentally. Practical implications The proposed method was able to significantly decrease the noise with increase in the speed of radio frequency and sensor-integrated circuit design. Originality/value Fractal inductor is designed and simulated with and without EBG surfaces. The measurement of printed circuit board prototypes demonstrates that the inclusion of split-ring array as EBG surface increases the quality factor by 90 per cent over standard fractal inductor of the same dimensions with a small degradation in inductance value and is capable of operating up to 2.4 GHz frequency range.
