Five different multifunctional nitro octaphenyl silsesquioxane (NPS) were Synthesised and reduction was carried out to obtain amino octaphenyl silsesquioxane(APS). These compounds were characterized with elementary analysis, fourier transform infrared(FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR, 29Si), wide-angle X-ray diffraction(XRD) and thermogravimetry (TG). Experiental results showed that the longer the nitration time, the more nitro connected to the OPS, but not positively, nitro number remained unchanged after five hours. NPS has good thermal stability than corresponding APS under 450°C, and the thermal stability of APS are decrease with the increase of amino number.

Abstract. Polyaniline (PANI) and p-phenylenediamine (p-PDA)-aniline copolymer were prepared via a same microemulsion method. The structures of the PANI and p-PDA-aniline copolymer were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The results revealed the difference of synthesis and characterization between PANI and p-PDA-aniline copolymer. It was shown that structure of the copolymer is almost similar to that of PANI, but the p-PDA-aniline copolymer has a better crystallization than PANI, and the thermal stability of the copolymer is higher than that of pure PANI.

Supramolecular hydrogels were formed through F127, acryloyl chloride modified F127 inclusion complex with α-cyclodextrin, respectively. The structure of modified copolymers and inclusion complex was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR). Hydrogels formed from supramolecular inclusion are imparted channel-type structure investigated by wide angle x-ray diffraction (WAXRD). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and TG experiments showed that thermal stability of hydrogels depend on the nature of axis polymer. The relative model was proposed to elucidate the inclusion complexes and hydrogels formation.

A dumbbell-shaped polyrotaxane based on polytetrahydrofuran bis (3-aminopropyl) terminated and α-cyclodextrins using polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dentrimers as bulky stoppers was successfully prepared. The1H NMR results show that the peaks of α-CDs in these polyrotaxanes are broadened compared with pure α-CDs. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements of the resulting polyrotaxanes suggest to produce a channel-type crystalline structure of inclusion complex. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the resultant polyrotaxanes show that α-CDs are significantly stabilized by the formation of the inclusion complexes.

AbstractOn the basis of 1,2-bis(5-tetrazolo)ethane (BTE) the corresponding twofold vinyl and allyl N-substituted derivatives were synthesized using 1,2-dibromoethane and allyl bromide, respectively. The compounds were obtained as two different constitutional isomers. Both species were analyzed using NMR and IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, as well as mass spectrometry. In the case of the diallyl bistetrazoles, the two isomers were characterized using 2D NMR spectroscopy. The synthesis of the divinyl compounds gave crystals of the 2,2′-N-substituted isomer, which were analyzed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The thermal stability of the compounds was determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and gave decomposition temperatures around 190°C and 230°C. For the investigation of the inherent energetic potential, sensitivities toward physical stimuli and detonation parameters were determined. The compounds turned out to be insensitive toward friction and impact and possess moderate energetic properties.

Abstract Two kinds of novel organic-inorganic bismuth-halide hybrid monocrystalline compounds (C6H5CH2NH3)2BiCl5 and (C6H5CH2NH3)BiI4 were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure, intermolecular interaction, morphology, chemical groups and bonds, optical and thermal stability of the samples were systematically investigated through single crystal X-ray diffraction, Hirshfeld surface analysis, SEM, FTIR, TG and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra. The results indicated that (C6H5CH2NH3)2BiCl5 and (C6H5CH2NH3)BiI4 crystals displayed a monoclinic system with the space group P21/c and P21/n at room temperature, respectively. These materials showed strong absorption in the ultraviolet and visible light regions, resulting in very low Eg, which could be continuously adjustable from 1.67 eV to 3.21 eV by changing the halogen ratio. In addition, these hybrid materials also exhibited good thermal stability. The decomposition temperature of (C6H5CH2NH3)2BiCl5 and (C6H5CH2NH3)BiI4 were 260℃ and 300℃ respectively. Therefore, these organic-inorganic bismuth-halide hybrid compounds have excellent development potential in the field of solar cell research.

In this paper, the diphenyl methane diisocyanate (MDI) was used to modify montmorillonoid (MMT) and got the organic montmorillonite (OMMT), which was used with the monomers of PET by in situ polymerization method to prepare PET/MMT nanocomposition. The OMMT was analyzed by the X ray diffraction (XRD) to test the change of the spacing layer. Dispersion of MMT in the PET/MMT nanocomposites were studied with XRD and SEM and by means of thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) on the thermal stability of PET/MMT nanocomposites. The results showed that, MDI modified MMT successfully, and the compatibility of MMT and PET was increased .

A new interesting class of linear unsaturated polycarbonates based on 3,5-bis(p-hydroxybenzylidene)-isopropylpiperidinone (T), 3,5-divanillylidene isopropylpiperidinone (IT), or 3,5-bis(m-hydroxybenzylidene)-isopropylpiperidinone (III) have been synthesized. An interfacial phosgenation technique carried out at ambient temperature was used for the synthesis of the polycarbonates. The resulting polycarbonates were characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectral analysis, solubility and viscometry. The thermal behaviour of the synthesized polymers was evaluated by thermal gravimetric analysis and correlated with their structures. The crystallinity of all polymers was examined by x-ray diffraction analysis.

AbstractThe influence of ZnO substitution by 0–12 wt.% Na2O on the properties of ZnO-Sb2O3-P2O5-Na2O glasses has been investigated. The structure and properties of the glasses with the composition of (13.86-x)ZnO-57.93Sb2O3-28.21P2O5−x Na2O (x = 0–12 wt.%) were characterized by infrared spectra (IR), X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The results of IR indicated an increase in the intensity of symmetric vibrations of P-O-P bond, which was confirmed by the improvement of water durability with the increasing amount of Na2O in the range of 0–10 wt.%. Substitution of 10 wt.% Na2O led to the weight loss of the glass to 5.93 mg/cm−2 after immersion in deionized water at 50 °C for 24 h. The results of XRD showed that the ability of crystallization decreased, indicating the good thermal stability of the glass. The glass containing 8 wt.% Na2O had the best properties in every respect and might be an alternative to lead based glasses for the applications, providing further composition improvement.
