This paper analyses the influence factors of the intercity railway station location selection. According to the actual situation of railway station, establish the fuzzy matter-element model with the entropy method to evaluate the intercity railway station setting-up plan. Thus the deviation of evaluation results caused by the subjective factors can be avoided effectively. A numerical example and relative conclusions were given then to show that the intercity railway passenger station location problem can be solved by setting up the fuzzy matter-element model which was combined with the entropy method and to provide a scientific basis for the decision-making of the intercity railway station location selection.

The site location has the crucial influence on the success of high-speed railway station area. Based on the site location type of high-speed railway station, this article analyzes the characteristics different types as a case of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail stations. At last it puts forwards that the accessibility, demands for land and urban coordination are the main factors affecting the station location from both internal and external factors of the site location of high-speed railway station.

This the second part of a paper discussing the problems of putting across information about bus travel in London. Part 1, published in ID J 5/1, described the basic needs of bus users and the development of a new bus map for central London. In Part 2, reactions to the new map are described and the new design is analysed, with an examination of cartographic problems such as complex routeing, road naming, railway station location and one-way streets.

Abstract Railway stations are special places and important elements in urban life. They exist in a dual function of place and node, which is reflected in their service structure. In the station, the station mission provides support and assistance for people in certain life situations. This raises the question of the connection of the station mission as a social service to the church. The place of the »in-between« could hold a development potential for the interaction of parishes and new church places. The railway station mission could, thus, move from a marginal position in the church to a node in the network of church services. At the same time, as an explorative field for inclusion, it could contribute important experiences to inclusion processes.

This paper analyses the influence factors of the intercity railway station location selection. According to the actual situation of railway station, establish the grey correlation analysis model with the entropy method to evaluate the intercity railway station setting-up plan. Thus the deviation of evaluation results caused by the subjective factors can be avoided effectively. A numerical example and relative conclusions were given then to show that the intercity railway passenger station location problem can be solved by setting up the grey correlation analysis model which was combined with the entropy method and to provide a scientific basis for the decision-making of the intercity railway station location selection.
