Much of the literature on pastoralists and empire concerns mobile tribes and often focuses on imperial schemes of resettlement, or tribal thwarting of state initiatives.  This submission argues that in mid-first-millennium BCE Babylonia, large bureaucratic temples stood between the imperial state and Babylonia’s mobile class of shepherds. This article then explores this dynamic further, focusing on the use of administrative information as a point of imperial contestation, examining issues of local control and clashing hierarchies as the shepherds served an imperial obligation in the Mesopotamian hinterland, and finally argues that the pastoral dynamic presented here is of a piece with the larger political role of the temple in Babylonian life—both urban, familiar, and central and at the same time distant, other-like, and enigmatic.

The purpose of this research is to develop a website-based system to facilitate the academic administration of student affairs at the Faculty of Information Communication Technology, Universitas Nasional in providing various student information ranging from information on association activities, scholarships, competitions, achievements achieved by FTKI (SI-TI) students. and helping FTKI students and graduates to find updated information about job vacancies related to information technology. This study will develop an administrative information system for student affairs with the Extreme Programming method, an Agile Development Method. will include FTKI students and graduates as users. The results of research from the Student and Alumni Administration Information System (Smart Adma) can provide time efficiency in administrative management, make it easier for students to get information from association activities, proposals, requests for funds to submission forms and internship assessments, as well as alternative media during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Keywords:Information Systems, Smart AdMa, Extreme Programming Method (XP).

Background SIMRS is a communication information technology system that processes and integrates the entire flow of hospital service processes in forms of coordination network, reporting and administrative procedures to obtain precise and accurate information and is part of the Health Information System. The purpose of this study was to identify how to implement computer-based administrative information systems to improve service quality performance in hospitals. The method applied in this study was a literature study to examine journal articles regarding the Implementation of Computer-Based Administrative Information Systems to Improve Service Quality Performance in Hospitals, data collection used was secondary data. The results of 20 literature journal articles study showed that the implementation of SIMRS has not run efficiently or has problems. This is because the SIMRS implemented by the hospital was considered less attention by related parties and they have not properly prepared all related to SIMRS (i.e. many officers do not understand because there are no support, supervision and evaluation from the management and technology that has not been running maximally). Conclusion, based on the Literature Review on the Implementation of Computer-Based Administrative Information Systems to Improve Service Quality Performance in Hospitals were found there were obstacles in implementing computer-based information systems, including lack of personnel, less skilled, less disciplined and less responsible personnel, facilities and infrastructure constraints (less stable Wi-Fi network and crashed system) and obstacles from the management (no training and proper SOP). To deal with these problems, IT knowledge training to the employees, improving the system and applying proper SOP should be applied so that information systems can be implemented and used in order to help simplify the work and improve service quality in hospitals in the future.

Along with the development of technology, computerized systems are needed in the business world. The computer has a function as a data processing tool that will assist in completing work quickly and precisely. MA Nurul Ulum as an educational institution, especially in the implementation of payment administration activities, still uses a manual or conventional system, so there are still many shortcomings and obstacles that result in a job not being able to run properly. Therefore we need a new system, namely a computer-based payment administration system in order to be able to manage and process payment data quickly, because with computer technology both students and other parties who want to know information related to tuition payments can get it quickly. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of service to students or parents in making tuition payments. The advantage of the system that will be made is that it provides an administrative information system for paying school fees so that it can make it easier to perform data processing and data retrieval. With an administrative information system that has been integrated in a database, it will facilitate the process of financial calculations and the existence of a Client Server-based school administrative information system will connect between sections, namely the administrative section, school treasurer, principal and head of the foundation making it easier to access financial information. school any time

Early childhood is a critical period in the life course, setting the foundation for future life. Early life contexts—neighborhoods and families—influence developmental outcomes, especially when children are exposed to economic and social disadvantage. Residential mobility, frequent among families with pre-school children, may reduce or increase exposure to adverse surroundings. We examine children’s cognitive and behavioral outcomes at age five, in relation to neighborhood composition, family circumstances and residential moves, using two longitudinal micro datasets: an urban subsample of the UK Millennium Cohort Study (N up to 7967), and the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study in the US (N up to 1820). Each is linked to an index of neighborhood advantage, created to make UK/US comparisons, based on census and administrative information. A series of estimates indicate a strong association, in both countries, between cognitive scores and neighborhood advantage, attenuated but not eliminated by family circumstances. Children’s behavior problems, on the other hand, show less association with neighborhood advantage. There are minor and mixed differences by residential mobility particularly when neighborhood disadvantage changes. Notwithstanding the primacy of the family in predicting preschool development, the findings support the notion of neighborhood as potentially advantageous at least in relation to cognitive outcomes.

Discovering the impact of national language use in L2 learning on the proficiency of learners at degree level was the focus of this research; in order to find out a clear comprehension of the current subject matter, the research aimed at 577 learners who were learning English at graduation level in different public sector colleges and universities of the Southern Punjab, Pakistan. For this study, the researcher used a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data analysis was done using SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) version 23. The researcher analyzed the data using descriptive analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), T-Test and Cronbach's alpha. The findings of the present research depicted that the students exhibited extremely positive and constructive perceptions regarding the use of national language in the second language classroom. The majority of the respondents gave preference using Urdu in specific situations for enhancing their proficiency in specific reasons such as while discussing course policies, learning about grammar and its usage in L2 classroom, attendance, and other administrative information.

During spring 2020, SARS-CoV-2 pandemic induced shortage of medical equipment, hospital capacity and staff. To tackle this issue, medical students have been strongly involved in early patient triage through medical phone call regulation. Here, we present an intelligent web-based decision support system for COVID-19 phone call regulation, developed by and for, medical students to help them during this difficult but crucial task. The system is divided into 5 tabs. The first tab displays administrative information, clinical data related to life-threatening emergency, and personalized recommendations for patient management. The second tab displays a PDF report summarizing the clinical situation; the third tab displays the guidelines used for establishing the recommendations, and the fourth tab displays the overall algorithm in the form of a decision tree. The fifth tab provided a short user guide. The system was assessed by 21 medical staff. More than 90% of them appreciated the navigation and the interface, and found the content relevant. 90,5% of them would like to use it during the medical regulation. In the future, we plan to use this system during simulation-based medical learning for the initial medical training of medical students.

This thesis presents the applied project of housing, intellectually arranging and creating a finding aid for the Schostal Agency collection at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). This collection includes 5,066 gelatin silver prints, 58 information sheets, and 34 photograph envelopes dating from the late 1920s to mid 1940s. The paper is structured in two parts: 1) an analytical paper, and 2) the finding aid. Part one investigates the historical context of the Schostal Agency, finding aids and collections management practices, as well as the methodology for organizing, housing, and creating the finding aid. Part two is the finding aid, which includes a descriptive summary, administrative information, scope and content of the collection, biographies and historical sketches, box lists, and a summary box list tracing the collection as a whole. This document will be made available to researchers in the Marvin Gelber Print and Drawing Study Centre at the AGO.
