The most common variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL) is mycosis fungoides (MF).The spontaneous regression (SR) of MF is rare. Here, we are reporting an interesting case of refractory MF after COVID-19. The SARS-CoV-2 could be an essential component in the improvement of clinical features related to MF.

Spontaneous resolution of NVD or NVE is very rare, to the best of our knowledge, only five cases reported in the literatures. In this paper we reported a case of spontaneous regression of NVD and NVE in fundus of type one young diabetic female patient with history of bariatric surgery 1 year prior to presentation. Patient was followed up for 2 years with stable clinical course and without developing any further DR and without receiving any treatment. we assumed that this autoregression of neovascularization could be related to her blood sugar control secondary to bariatric surgery. We noticed also all the previous reported five cases were young ages (31, 46, 27,26 and 19). This suggest the possibility of difference in the pathogenesis of proliferative retinopathy between type 1 and type II. Further studies are needed.

Abstract Background: Diencephalic syndrome (DS) can cause failure to thrive in pediatrics, which is mostly found in optic pathway gliomas (OPGs) patients. OPGs patients with DS always show a poor outcome. Case presentation: We present the case of an OPG patient with DS who got a spontaneous regression without any treatment. A 6-month-old girl presented with failure to thrive for two months and visual dysfunction with bilateral horizontal nystagmus. MRI demonstrated a 42mm*37mm*36mm enhanced and lobulated lesion located in the sellar region with a clear boundary with surrounding tissues. OPG and DS was diagnosed according to her radiological examination and manifestation. Conservative follow-up was given. There was a spontaneous decrease in tumor size during follow-up. Symptom improves and the patient continues to have a good quality of life despite a moderate dysfunction of her left eye. Conclusions: Conservative observation can be used as a treatment for some OPG patients, body weight may be a marker of the growth of tumor in OPG patients with DS.

Introduction Choroidal rupture is a tear/break within the Bruch's membrane, retinal pigment epithelium and choroid following blunt trauma. Choroidal neovascularization is a well-known complication of traumatic choroidal rupture that is typically treated with intravitreal injections of Bevacizumab. This case describes an early detection of choroidal neovascular complex secondary to traumatic choroidal rupture and its spontaneous regression and quiescence without treatment followed using optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography. Case Description A healthy 19 year old female presented with decreased vision in her left eye following a blunt non-penetrating closed globe injury two weeks prior. A complete ophthalmic examination with ancillary testing was consistent with sub-foveal choroidal neovascularization secondary to traumatic choroidal rupture. Five weeks later, there was spontaneous regression of the choroidal neovascular complex as depicted on OCT angiography and complete resolution of subretinal fluid/exudation on structural OCT. A conservative approach without intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) injections was chosen for management. Conclusion To the authors’ knowledge this is a first case describing a unique evolution with spontaneous regression and quiescence of choroidal neovascularization secondary to traumatic choroidal rupture without treatment followed using OCT angiography. Expectant management may be a viable treatment option for this condition.

A systematic examination of the effects of traditional herbal medicines including their mechanisms could allow for their effective use and provide opportunities to develop new medicines. Coix seed has been suggested to promote spontaneous regression of viral skin infection. Purified oil from coix seed has also been suggested to increase the peripheral CD4+ lymphocytes. We, herein, attempt to shed more light on the way through which coix seed affects the human systemic immune function by hypothesizing that a central role to these changes could be played through changes in the gut microbiota. To that end, healthy adult males (n = 19) were divided into two groups; 11 of them consumed cooked coix seed (160 g per day) for 7 days (intervention), while the other eight were given no intervention. One week of coix seed consumption lead to an increase of the intestinal Faecalibacterium abundance and of the abundance (as % presence of overall peripheral lymphocytes) of CD3+CD8+ cells, CD4+ cells, CD4+CD25+ cells, and naïve/memory T cell ratio. As the relationship of microbiota and skin infection has not been clarified, our findings could provide a clue to a mechanism through which coix seed could promote the spontaneous regression of viral skin infections.
