Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) enables aircraft to periodically broadcast their flight states such as position and velocity. Compared to classical radar surveillance, it increases update rate and accuracy. Currently, Mode S Extended Squitter is the most common implementation for ADS-B. Due to the simplicity of Mode S design, ADS-B signals are prone to injections. This study proposes a cost-effective solution that verifies the integrity of ADS-B signals using coherent receivers. We design the verification approach by combining the signal’s direction of arrival, estimated from the multi-channel data, with the target bearing calculated from ADS-B messages. By using another high-performance software-defined radio transceiver, we also conduct real signal injection experiments to validate our approaches.

Despite the increased attention that has been given to the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based magnetic survey systems in the past decade, the processing of UAV magnetic data is still a tough task. In this paper, we propose a novel noise reduction method of UAV magnetic data based on complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN), permutation entropy (PE), correlation coefficient and wavelet threshold denoising. The original signal is first decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) by CEEMDAN, and the PE of each IMF is calculated. Second, IMFs are divided into four categories according to the quartiles of PE, namely, noise IMFs, noise-dominant IMFs, signal-dominant IMFs, and signal IMFs. Then the noise IMFs are removed, and correlation coefficients are used to identify the real signal-dominant IMFs. Finally, the wavelet threshold denoising is applied to the real signal-dominant IMFs, the denoised signal can be obtained by combining the signal IMFs and the denoised IMFs. Both synthetic and field experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method can eliminate the interference to a great extent, which lays a foundation for the further interpretation of UAV magnetic data.

In this work, a comparative analysis between Gaussian and Golden wavelets is presented. These wavelets are generated by the derivative of specific base functions. In this case, the order of the derivative also indicates the number of vanishing moments of the wavelet. Although these wavelets have a similar waveform, they have several distinct characteristics in time and frequency domains. These distinctions are explored here in the scale space. In order to compare the results provided by these wavelets for a real signal, they are used in the decomposition of a signal inserted in the context of structural health monitoring.

Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is a new waveform candidate in the visible light communication system (VLC). FBMC is a distinctive kind of multi-carrier modulation that can be regarded as an alternative to orthogonal frequency Division Multicarrier (OFDM) with CP (cyclic prefix). DCO-FBMC (DC-bias optical FBMC) has recently been used in VLC, because it overcomes all defects in the optical-OFDM system and has high spectral efficiency. but at the same time the traditional DCO-FBMC suffers from high complexity due to the use of Hermitian Symmetry for real signal, by using 2N-point subcarrier IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transformer) in the modulator, and the output is N-point subcarrier FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) in the demodulator. In this paper, for the first time, the possibility of minimizing complexity and generating a real signal without the use of Hermitian Symmetry or any other technique has been verified. The proposed technology provides 50% of the size of the IFFT / FFT and this results in a significant reduction in power consumption and occupied chip area.

This study aims to analyze the role of Dividend Policy and Stock Performance in moderating Profitability within creating Company Value. The population during the analysis period was 30 companies. After sampling with a purposive approach obtained a sample of 17 companies. Descriptively known value The profitability proxied by the value of ROA of 38.72% while the value of the company proxied by Tobin’s Q is averaging 1.02. In theory ROA has a strong positive effect on Company Value. The findings in the study indicate that ROA does have a positive effect but only 6.6% is significant. This result explains that investors still believe that profit is a real signal of the expected profit. These two conditions relate that investors in the sharia-based capital market are not fair in valuing companies. Because profitability is not a concern even the dividend payment policy is not considered capable of giving a signal in appreciating the company, but net income in real terms is precisely what is expected.
