Service robots are being increasingly employed as hotel staff in the hotel industry. This study explored how hotels can better use and implement service robots for their operation. Four hotels using robots as their staff are chosen as examples for investigating what positions the robot staff do and the comments from customers. It was found that the acceptance of robots in delivering transfer services (eg. Carrying luggage, delivering room service, etc.) are higher than when they provide services at the front desk. These results demonstrated that customers have expectations in engaging with heartwarming interaction with staff when they stay in the hotel, which the robot staff are not providing such interaction in current technology. Therefore, it is suggested that the hotels can arrange the robot staff with the position that do not interact with customers in the current stage. The robot staff can assist the human staff in providing service until they can develop a sophisticated system in two-way interaction.

Abstract Most of the residents of Baros village work in the agricultural and plantation sectors with most of the residents having education up to junior high and high school levels. Thus, they do not understand the law and technology that is currently developing due to their low educational background. Therefore, Baros Village needs socialization about the online legal assistance of nonlitigation in order towards a modern and justice village. The method used is in the form of socialization accompanied by counseling to the community, namely by providing explanations and discussions with the aim of activities that Baros villagers understand the importance of online legal assistance through non-litigation using current technology such as computers, laptops and hand phones. The results of the activities in the socialization turned out to be many Baros villagers who did not understand the existence of online legal assistance to resolve their cases outside the court such as negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and consultation. The village office must provide an internet network, computer or laptop for its citizens to learn technology in order to become a modern village.

Abstract The effect of operating parameters such as reaction mixture inlet pressure p 1 (101.3–1013.2 kPa), methanol to oil molar ratio M 1 (3–12), the concentration of catalyst C c (0.0–1.0 wt%), temperature T (25–50 °C) and the number of passes of the reaction mixture through the venturi type hydrodynamic cavitation reactor n (1–12) on alkali-catalyzed transesterification of sunflower oil with methanol assisted by hydrodynamic cavitation (ACTC) on the value of the degree of triglyceride conversion (DTC) was investigated. ACTC was performed by the venturi-type hydrodynamic cavitation reactor (VCR) of our construction. It was found that the values of DTC increase with the increase in p 1, M 1, C c, and n, and decrease with the increase in T. Cavitation yield (CY) values were calculated. The ACTC was proved to be the simplest, fastest, and most highly energy-efficient current technology for the production of biodiesel.

To visit congregation which is carried out by several members of the congregation who are members of the visiting workgroup accompanied by a pastor from the church visited. This activity is a form of expression of love, concern, and sympathy for the people being cared for. And it is hoped that through this visit, the congregation who is being cared for will get strength, comfort, and help in facing the struggles they are facing. Along with the development of current technology which can help the wider community to find out a person's location through a given address. By using the haversine method, visitors can make visits to the church's residence with a fairly short time and distance because the haversine method has the advantage of being able to calculate the distance and time using two lines on the earth, namely longitude and latitude. The making of this application is to produce an Android-based mobile application using Google Map to get the location of the congregation's residence which will be carried out by the visit to the Terang Hidup GKI congregation, where the visit is one of the service programs of the Terang Hidup GKI church.

The solar system is one of the natural phenomena taught at school. However, delivering the material is still text-based. One of the current technology-based learning uses technology Augmented Reality as a support for learning aid. Augmented Reality is an integrated two worlds, the real and the virtual. Augmented Reality for the solar system learning application was developed by applying the concept of the Rule-Based System algorithm as a simple artificial intelligence that aims to help augmented reality systems in simulating knowledge and experience from humans with several rules prepared. The existence of Augmented Reality facilitates the process of learning on specific topics such as the solar system more attractive and interactive, with aims to inspire students to learn the solar system. Based on the testing results at SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang, Indonesia 95% of respondents are interested and captivated by learning media applications using Augmented Reality technology.

Life Buoy, also known as a life preserver, is a crucial safety tool on board any marine ships. The most common and conventional lifesaver is operated manually to save people from drowning, yet this method poses a risk for both the victim and rescuer. Hence, with the help of current technology, a smart lifebuoy has been developed, whereby the rescuer just operates the lifebuoy using remote control. Yet, the existing smart life buoy system has been found heavy and hard to be operated, especially for women, children, and other people with disabilities. This paper focuses on the development of a lightweight smart life buoy system and its characteristics.  Arduino Uno R3, Arduino Nano, DC motor 775, Transmitter and Receiver kit were the main components used in the development of the lightweight smart life buoy system (LWSLB). The developed LWSLB system was tested at the National Defence University of Malaysia’ swimming pool due to Covid-19 lockdown, and data such as speed, range of remote connection and battery endurance were obtained. It has been found out that the developed LWSLB weighs just 3.5kg overall compared to Brand S which weighs 13.75kg. However, in terms of speed, Brand S proves to be faster at 4.17m/s compared to LWSLB which exhibits a speed of 1.25m/s.

Environmentally enhanced turbines (EETs) have gained attention in the past two decades in order to reduce environmental impacts of hydropower plants on fish communities and on water quality. In this mini-review the main EETs are discussed, focusing on the Alden and Minimum Gap Runner turbines to reduce fish injury and on self-aerating and self/free-lubricant turbines to improve water quality. The review shows that EETs can be efficiently adopted instead of traditional turbines: EETs are cost-effective, efficient in terms of energy generation and have shown to reduce environmental impacts. Scientific gaps are also highlighted and case studies reported to better support refurbishment and new projects.
