The Online Examination Portal is a web application for taking an online test productively along with face recognition capabilities to perform live proctoring, and there is no time wasted for checking the paper. This report will incorporate all highlights and procedures which are required to develop this portal. This document incorporates details about the objective of the system, approximately targets of the system, system scope confinement, essential system requirements, group advancement, likely venture risks, schedule of the deployment, and finally observing and reporting mechanisms for the whole system. Online Examination Conducting Portal is exceptionally useful for Instructive Institute's to prepare a complete exam, conduct proctoring to prevent misconduct, secure the time that will take to check the paper, and plan check sheets. Online Examination Portal will help the Institutes to test understudies and develop their abilities. But the impediments for the Online Exam systems, it takes more time when the user prepares the exam at the primary time for utilization. To conduct the exam we require the number of computers with the same number of students. With the successful use of the Examination Portal, the facilitator can utilize this system to create the tests as their requirements and we can get accurate results and save time once deployed.

Covid-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for mandatory use of technology to deliver class room learning to students who have been forced to Learn From Home (LFH). Learn From Home requires Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) method if students are to be satisfied with online delivery of lessons. Technology Enhanced Learning is used to describe the integration of technology to teaching and learning; the demand for Technology Enhanced Learning has been increased as a result of the lockdown. The study explores various online teaching platforms, techniques, online examination, and Technology Enhanced Learning methods needed to be used by university instructors to ensure that educating the students goes on unhindered. The identified variables were empirically tested with the aid of a structured questionnaire. The study concludes that there is a positive relationship between satisfaction with the delivery of online study and the perceived effectiveness of TEL among higher education students.

User authentication in the online environment is promoting a hugely challenging issue. This has contributed to the realization of a user authentication where the exams can be performed over the Internet at any time and from any place and by using any digital device. Consequently, further investigations are required to focus on improving user authentication methods to enhance online security mechanisms, especially in the field of e-exams. This research proposes a new user authentication technique based on the user interface (UI). The novel idea is created based on the design preferences of candidates who are taking the e-exams. Several design features are used to design a special user interface for e-exams, for example, the font attributes, back colour, number of questions per page, group categories for questions based on difficulties, and timer setting. The introduced technique can be used to support the user authentication process in the e-exams environment. Furthermore, the proposed technique provides the ability to login to the e-exam without the need to remember the login information, but to select what the student prefers according to his/her personal information. Based on the literature review, a primary evaluation claiming that the students have differences in their preferences and that each user has stable design preferences within different sessions is revealed. In regard to these facts, they become the resource and essence of this research. The security performance of the proposed method is evaluated. The results of the experiments show a false positive (FP) rate of 0.416% and a false negative (FN) rate of 0%.

Outbreak of COVID-19, online examination, and e-proctoring have caused more exam anxiety and affected exam performance among students’ studying in International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP). Therefore, the present research aimed to find effect of online test anxiety on academic performance of IBDP students in the subjects related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Study employed quantitative descriptive survey research design and administered survey questionnaire to 200 IB DP students who took online test during COVID-19 through convenient sampling technique. Sample included both first and final year DP students with due representation to boys and girls. Results of the study revealed a moderate negative correlation between online test anxiety and academic performance of IBDP students in STEM subjects. Regression analysis explained 14.1% variation in the STEM subject performance because of online exam anxiety under e-proctored condition. There exists a statistically significant difference between first and final year students’ online exam anxiety and STEM subject average grades. Future research may focus on conducting comfortable online examination methods with no additional exam anxieties. Keywords: International Baccalaureate (IB), Diploma Programme (DP), e-proctored test, virtual examination

With cloud computing's powerful computing power, many end users can create a variety of effective network applications using the cloud's services without having to worry about computing technology or access methods. Based on CC technology's on-demand service characteristics and unlimited dynamic expansion capability, this article designs and implements a shared network examination system. In the Web mode, the functions of receiving and distributing examination data, identity verification, online examination, and examination result collection can be realized using the SaaS deployment structure, MVC three-tier architecture, Java modeling language, XFIE, JSON, web service, DES, and other technologies combined with MySQL database. At the same time, the improved parallel genetic annealing algorithm (IPGAA) is proposed as a CC resource scheduling strategy. The IPGAA has better adaptability in the CC system with various cloud resources because it combines the fast global search ability of the genetic algorithm (GA) with the local search ability of the simulated annealing algorithm. Simulation tests show that the IPGAA is effective.

Pandemic COVID-19 has given a significant impact on the education culture whereby online learning has become the main way in teaching and learning activities. In line with the important use of online learning, it is very important to identify whether the students are ready enough for an online class or not. The study on ‘An Assessment of UMS Pre-University Students’ Readiness on Online Examination’ sought to answer the questions about students’ readiness on the preferred mode of learning and the student's readiness on an online examination. The respondents of the study were UMS Pre-University students who enrolled in the Foundation in Science program (AUMS) in the year 2020. Specifically, there was 105 male, and 153 female students were included in the study. Through Google form online survey, the questionnaires were sent through their email and WhatsApp group. Then, the data were gathered, collected, and analysed. Descriptive statistics analysis and item level mean related to students’ internet connectivity is provided in the form of percentage, mean and standard deviations. The study reveals that AUMS students’ internet connectivity was moderately ready for their online examinations, as it depends mainly on their location. If the students are staying in an urban areas, then their internet connections should be good and vice versa. This study also reveals that problems in Wi-Fi connection are the main concern of students’ accessibility to online learning.

Over the last decade, online examinations have been widely practiced in both the private and government sector. Working professionals preferred the online examination because it provides them with the flexibility of time and location. However, it is not a common practice in educational institutions. Examinations are always conducted in the traditional method through physical attendance, paper, and pen. The outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic and a long duration of lockdown is a game-changer towards assessment and educational approaches that differs from traditional face-to-face methods. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the first online examination experiences and challenges faced by the foundation of science students in the Preparatory Centre for Science and Technology (PPST), Universiti Malaysia Sabah. A pre-survey questionnaire was independently developed to study these purposes. A sample of 252 students from intake session 2019/2020 is affected by this COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the internet connectivity and readiness of the students for their online examinations are the main challenges that are highlighted in this study.
