Purpose The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the applicability of the Credit Default Swaps (CDS), as a financial instrument, for transferring of risk in project finance loans. Also, an equation has been derived for pricing of CDS spreads. Design/methodology/approach The debt service cover ratio (DSCR) is modeled as a Brownian Motion (BM) with a power-law model fitted to the mean and half-variance of the existing data set of DSCRs. The survival probability of DSCR is calculated during the operational phase of the project finance deal, using a closed-form analytical method, and the results are verified by Monte Carlo simulation (MCS). Findings It is found that using the power-law model yields higher CDS premiums. This in turn confirms the necessity of conducting rigorous statistical analysis in fitting the best performing model as uninformed reliance on constant time-invariant drift and diffusion model can erroneously result in smaller CDS spreads. A sensitivity analysis also shows that the results are very sensitive to the recovery rate and cost of debt values. Originality/value Insufficiency of free cash flow is a major risk in the toll road project finance and hence there is a need to develop innovative financial instruments for risk management. In this paper, a novel valuation method of CDS is proposed assuming that DSCR follows the BM stochastic process.

The increase in urban transportation in the 2000s era was very high. The use of motorized vehicles during the pandemic has decreased slightly with the government's ban on traveling out of town, including the 2020 homecoming and 2021 homecoming. Most people who travel are in the city center, including the city of Bogor and Bogor district. The travel patterns are very diverse, but most use public transportation and private transportation in addition to freight transportation with a fairly high intensity, especially at night. The purpose of this study was to obtain the LoS value at the signalized intersection of the three arms of the Salabenda intersection. The three-arm Salabenda intersection is the border between Bogor regency and the city of Bogor, so this intersection is one of the busiest and most densely populated intersections beside the Ciawi intersection in the north. The Salabenda intersection has become more congested with the opening of the Section IIIA Toll Road so that the traffic load shifts from Jl. KH. Sholeh Iskandar to this toll road, so that the intersection will have a higher traffic intensity. From the three observations and data collection in the field, it can be seen that in the afternoon it has a very high LoS, namely E. Followed by a LoS D level in the afternoon and in the morning LoS is still in the form of C. So it is still safe to use in the morning with a recommended level. The LoS E condition is a condition where the intersection has a degree of saturation of 0.926, which is almost close to 1, exacerbated by high side resistance activity.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, diabetes prevention represents a critical need for the health education curriculum, given the rise of the disease and its precondition for today’s youth. An active understanding of diabetes encourages young people to take control of the nutritional and exercise factors that keep the disease in check. When teachers use experiential activities, or “adventure” education, students perform tasks that illustrate conceptual content and reinforce learning. Research has found that current modalities to be successful but lacking the physicality to meet the recommendations of the American Heart Association and the Society of Health and Physical Educators. Games such as Toll Road Boogie; Tom and Jerry, or Insulin and Sugar; Wacky Receptor; and Tusker Monster, or Fat Cell Tag help children meet the 60 min of physical activity that are required most days of the week. This article offers several examples of how to design and implement games and incentives into lessons that are both enjoyable and illustrative of diabetes prevention-based education for ages 8 to 18.

Abstract Toll road ramps that connect toll roads and arterial roads are often crowded until they are jammed by the activities of workers and school deliverers. And the rush hour that occurs in the morning and evening causes congestion on toll access roads both on and off ramps. The purpose of this research to find out how the performance condition of the toll access road with the distance that is currently available.. The method used in this paper is descriptive quantitative. By using the results of the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) survey at the intersection of West Bekasi, Cibitung and West Kerawang during the morning and evening rush hours. The results of the survey and analysis using the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (IRCM) standard obtained a ratio of volume to capacity (v/c ratio), speed and traffic density, these characteristics were then used to find the Level Of Service (LOS) obtained by LOS F (VCR >1). The conclusion from the analysis is that the performance of the connecting road/ramp often occurs during rush hour with the lowest LOS F values in the morning and evening, so it is necessary to evaluate the minimum ramp distance.

Increasing the welfare of the Indonesian people, especially Muslims, encourages religious activities that require financial readiness, namely the Hajj. The high enthusiasm of Indonesian Muslims to register is not balanced with the quota of prospective pilgrims who depart each year, making the waiting list for the pilgrimage longer. The number of recipients of prospective pilgrims continues to grow from year to year. Registrants who want to perform the Hajj until June 2018 are 3,797,376 while the annual Indonesian Hajj quota is around 210,000 people. This creates an accumulation of initial deposit funds, in March 2018 total of hajj fund Rp. 105,191,372,936,614 were collected. This study aims to assess whether the Hajj funds are worth investing in toll road infrastructure projects. Starting from identifying problems to calculating investment feasibility to cooperation agreements Management of Hajj funds with Islamic banks under musyarakah mutanaqishah agreement to investing in toll road infrastructure projects. The capital budgeting method is used to calculate the feasibility of investment, NPV value of Rp. 54,805,724,000,000, then IRR value is 62%, BCR is 3.61, and payback period is 12 years. The conclusion is Hajj fund is worth to investing in the toll road infrastructure project Jakarta - Cikampek II Elevated.

The impact of technological developments and the application of GNNT or Cashless in toll road transactions can trigger company to terminate employment, but the company is not allowed to lay off, this is a challenge for Jasa Marga so that there are no layoffs and operational services in the field continue to run by Government policies and the PUPR Ministerial Decree. In 2017-2019 PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. made a change by preparing a voluntary Professional Transfer Program (A-Life) for employees. In this process, Jasa Marga Management, the Employees, and Employees Union are committed to jointly leading the change management process in a professional transfer program that takes into account the interests of the Company and the Employees, however should improve the quality of organizational culture as well. The method used a qualitative approach based on a case study to examine the state of natural objects, in which the researcher is the key tool, the data collection technique is performed by triangulation (a combination of observations, interviews, documents), the resulting data tends to be qualitative data, analytical data is inductive/qualitative and research finding of qualitative research is about understanding meaning, understanding unique, construct phenomena and find hypotheses. The conclusion there were the process, obstacles, and effectiveness of change management implementation in the professional transition program (ALife) and organizational culture which has not been implemented optimally.

One of the causes of on-road collapse slopes is traffic load. Slope failure by road loads usually occurs due to several factors such as soil type, rainfall, land use. This study aims to determine landslide and slope repair performance using bore pile and ground anchor on Cipali Toll Road KM 103. The research method used in this study is the Finite element method. In this research, data collection, modeling parameter determination, slope stability analysis, slope reinforcement analysis, and reinforcement design were carried out with variations in bore pile and ground anchor dimensions. The software program used is a finite element program in the form of PLAXIS to analyze slope stability and estimate the slope failure area. The result of the study is that the R-Value inter is 0.25 with a 1.0341 safety factor. Best repair performance obtained from the addition of reinforcement with ground anchor 2 layer on bore pile 2 with a distance of 2 meters increased the safety factor to 1,913; Borepile capacity calculation with the calculation of normal force and moment iteration, the largest occurs in the DPT (Retaining Wall) stage with a normal load of -37.9 and a moment force of -471.15 which is still able to be borne by bore pile 1. The result of this study is expected to be benchmark and repair material to improve slope stability at km 103 Tol Cipali

This paper discusses the process of original soil stabilization in Trans Sumatra Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road Project Package 2 Sidomulyo-Kotabaru. The soil replacement process was conducted at approximately 24 kilometres along the toll’s main road. The original soil bearing capacity analysis stage was by performing a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) and Sondir test to analyze the deep of hard soil. A soil replacement was carried out to replace the original soil with soil that has appropriate specification. the piling up process was conducted in stages, which has Sandstone in such of the layer. The research done about the landfill sample was retaken and collected at 68 points. The stockpile soil samples collection was then followed by the analysis which was conducted in the laboratory to find the soil bearing capacity. There are 4 types of bearing capacity parameters analyzed, namely specific gravity, water content, aggregate analysis (Sieve Analysis), and consistency limit (Atterberg Limit). Referring to it, then there was the classification of soil types according to AASHTO M145 & Casagrande Soil Classification System. A point that has settlement after soil replacement is STA 52+000. So, there need to add soil stabilization, that is cement grout injection. Researchers analyzed the soil settlement by interpretation method. Results showed that soil replacement and cement grout injection could decrease a soil settlement by about 15.07 cm to become 0.93 cm.

Road transport plays an essential role in freight transport throughout Europe, therefore, conditions that may hinder seamless operations in this sector require thorough consideration for evidence-based action. Critical amongst these key conditions is how, when, and where truck drivers stop, as a common set of rules strictly regulates their driving times and rest periods, which causes mandatory interruptions in the supply chains. However, approximating reliable estimations of freight traffic flows and road infrastructure usage constitutes a considerable challenge for researchers. This paper presents a robust data processing approach to designate rest area stops and to calculate the pertaining driving and rest times. Drawing on the abundance of navigation information provided by private fleet toll registration services, a comprehensive spatial-temporal truck stop database on all major rest areas along the toll road network in Hungary has been compiled. Based on the assessment and comparison of driving and rest times, driving and parking times have been analysed, including micro-scale analysis of particular rest areas. Both the methods applied and the results achieved can be of strategic interest to better understand truck driving patterns, as well as to develop targeted and cost-effective measures to streamline freight transport operations in other contexts.
