A clear understanding of the systemic differences between interacting languages is necessary to study the interaction of languages in the mind of a bilingual (multilingual) personality and improve the practice of teaching languages in a transcultural environment. If such languages belong to different morphological types, the method of determinant analysis can be proposed as an effective tool for methodological forecasting of negative interference. The goal set by the authors of the article is to establish cause-and-effect relationships between the systemic determinant of the language type and its particular specific features at the levels of phonetics, morphology and syntax. The object of the research is the agglutinative and inflectional types of languages that lie between the extreme manifestations of proximity and remoteness of individual minds. In their work, the authors rely on the systemic methodology of determinant typological analysis, developed in the 1960s-70s by the founder of modern systemic linguistics, Professor Gennady Prokopyevich Melnikov.

This study analyzes trends in the scientific literature on the concepts of rational and emotional advertising. The article presents a bibliometric analysis of 96 studies on rational and emotional advertising, taken from the Web of Science database (WOS) for the period 1990-2020. The study categorizes these documents according to bibliographic indicators, i.e., most productive authors, year of publication, countries with the highest productivity rate, the journals and universities that published the most on this topic, language, type of research and field of research. This analysis provides an overview of the nature and trends of research on rational and emotional advertising. The results of the analysis reveal the research weakness for this concept, especially in terms of definitions and conceptualization. Also, the results highlight the fragmented nature of the themes addressed in the various research articles on rational and emotional advertising.

The object of research is the hardware-software complex of learning Braille. The research is aimed at the analysis of the use of the system of automatic change of modes of the hardware-software complex depending on the results of the user’s tasks. As part of the development of the project for the implementation of hardware and software for the training of the visually impaired in Braille, there is a need to analyze the operation of the updated control system for the order of output of letters. The solution was a software bridge that connects devices to a remote database server via smartphones, where learning results are stored. To solve this problem, the algorithm for changing the modes of letter output was modified, the module of connection of the hardware and software complex with the phone was implemented, the file structure for information transfer to the database was developed. After the introduction of updates in the hardware and software complexes of users, an analysis of the training was conducted. Statistics were collected according to the following parameters: selected language, type of game, correct and user answers, mode of output of letters, date-time of answer and operation of changing of the mode of output of letters. The analysis used data on the first and last states of the mode of output of letters for one day without reference to games and languages. The research was conducted over 30 calendar days for 100 users, but the data were reduced to 15 days, as some users were not study every day, and the day of study was taken. The research showed a tendency to change learning to groups of letters of the highest complexity. Less than a third of users stayed at the first level, which provides for the next update of the software to collect data on the age of the user, because children under 5 years do not learn the letters of the third group of complexity.

The third of requirements in this article on the question of origin of people is to keep in mind that the anthropological type and language of the ancestors of an ethnos never coexist with the language and type of the ethnos. This is because in the early stages of the history of ethnogenesis, ethnic units, especially their language and type, have not been formed yet. The concepts of language, type, and ethnic unity are realities of different periods, and it has been argued that the process of their formation did not take place at the same time.

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the English Language Textbook that is used for university students in a faculty of engineering. This textbook is called “SIU English Language Course ‘C’”, which is taught for engineering students in the first two semesters at Sudan International University. The main purpose of this evaluation is to analyze the textbook in order to see whether it is suitable for the engineering students. The researcher used the descriptive method in this study and used the questionnaire which is distributed for a sample taken from the students of engineering, this sample consists of (90) engineering college students. Besides, there was another questionnaire for a sample of (9) instructors who teach the same textbook. There are two aspects in the textbook that the researcher focused on to be analyzed; they are the skills and the language type. From the responses of the two questionnaires there was a common agreement from both the students and teachers was revealed and they were highly satisfied about the two aspects in the evaluated textbook. Based on the above, the findings of this study have shown that the majority of the students and instructors agreed that the skills which are used in this textbook are very satisfied and their designs suit the engineering students. On the other hand, they also agreed that textbook is quite satisfactory in terms of its language type.

The present experimental study examined the impact of language type on perception of disability images with text captions. 204 disability naïve undergraduate students viewed disability images containing one of six disability language captions: disability-first, defiant self-naming, impairment, negative, person-first, and apologetic naming. Participants completed measures of identification, emotion, willingness to help, willingness to include, and perceptions of capabilities and rights. Person-first and apologetic naming did not result in more positive perceptions of disability. Rather, defiant self-naming evoked the most positive emotions and identification, and greater perceived capabilities and willingness to include whereas negative language evoked the most negative perceptions of images. Results suggest that the elimination of negative language and the use of empowering defiant self-naming by people with disabilities, rather than a focus on using person-first and apologetic naming, may be more effective in reducing negative disability stereotypes.
