Abstract With the continuous development of blockchain technology and the emergence of application scenarios, consensus algorithms are still the bottleneck restricting the number of network nodes and data writing efficiency that blockchain can support. How to improve the performance of alliance blockchains safely and efficiently has become an urgent problem to be solved at present. For the practical Byzantine fault tolerance algorithm (PBFT) commonly used in alliance blockchains, there are some problems, such as large communication overhead, simple selection of master nodes, and inability to expand and exit nodes dynamically in the network. This paper proposes an improved algorithm tPBFT (trust-based practical Byzantine algorithm), which is suitable for the high-frequency transaction scenario of alliance chains and introduces a trust interest scoring mechanism between network nodes to adjust the list of consensus nodes dynamically, simplify the PBFT consensus process and reduce the interaction overhead between network nodes. Theoretical analysis and experiments show that the improved tPBFT algorithm can effectively reduce the amount of information interaction between nodes, improve consensus efficiency and support more network nodes.

AbstractThis paper is devoted to selecting rules for one-dimensional (1D) totalistic cellular automaton (TCA). These rules are used for the generation of pseudorandom sequences, which could be useful in cryptography. The power of pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) based on nonuniform TCA can be improved using not only one rule but a large set of rules. For this purpose, each subset of rules should be analyzed with its assignation to cellular automaton (CA) cells should be analyzed. We examine each of the subsets of totalistic rules, consisting of rules with neighborhood radius equal to 1 and 2. The entropy of bitstreams generated by the nonuniform TCA points out the best set of rules appropriate for the TCA-based generator. The paper also presents the method of simple selection of CA rules based on a cryptographic criterion known as a balance. The proposed method selects a maximal size of the set of available CA rules for a given neighborhood radius and suitable for PRNG. The method guarantees to avoid conflicting assignments of rules resulting in the creation of unwanted stable bit sequences, and provides high-quality pseudorandom sequences. This technique is used to verify the subsets of rules selected experimentally. Verified rules are proposed for 1D TCA-based PRNG as a new subset of best nonuniform TCA rules. New picked, examined, and verified subset of rules could be used in TCA-based PRNG and provide cryptographically strong bit sequences and huge keyspace.

Biomaterials dominate the field of cardiovascular therapeutics, a multitude of which have been used to repair and replace injured heart tissue. This field has evolved beyond the simple selection of compatible materials and now focuses on the rational design of controlled structures that integrate with the cardiovascular system. However, the compatibility of these materials with the blood presents a major limitation to their clinical application. In this context, surface modification strategies can enhance blood compatibility and several recent advances in this area have emerged. This review summarizes the recent applications of biomaterials in cardiovascular therapies, the improvements in their biocompatibility and the surface modification technologies that have the potential to improve clinical outcomes.

In image process, as an example, once combining the data content of image, we tend to have an interest within the relationship between 2 or a lot of pictures. Registration may be an elementary task in image process wont to match 2 or a lot of photos taken, as an example. CAN are investigated as a general-purpose answer for image version problems. Such systems were not just taking in the mapping from input picture to yield picture, yet additionally, gain proficiency with a misfortune capacity to mentor this mapping. Such things make it possible to use a similar kind of generic approach to traditional types of problems which requires very less or different loss formulations. We also show that the approach used here is very effective for image synthesizing from the label maps, and also we reconstruct the objects from edge maps, and colorizing pictures, among different errands. To be sure. Further showing its wide materialness and simple selection without the requirement for parameter tweaking. As a network, it's never again a hand engineer for our mapping capacities and with the assistance of this we can accomplish powerful result without hand-designing our misfortune work

AbstractThere is a wealth of data indicating human bone marrow derived stromal cells (HBMSCs) contain the skeletal stem cell (SSC) with the potential to differentiate along the osteogenic, adipogenic and chondrogenic lineages leading to significant interest as potential clinical therapies. However, despite these advances, current methods to isolate skeletal stem cells (SSCs) from human tissues are difficult as no single specific marker has been identified. Hence, limited understanding of SSC fate, immuno-phenotype and simple selection criteria proved to be limiting factors in the widespread clinical application of these cells. While a range of cell surface markers can enrich for SSCs, none of the proposed markers, alone, isolate single cells with the ability to form bone, cartilage, and adipose tissue in humans. In this work, we have developed a methodology to use oligonucleotide-coated gold nanoparticles to identify cells in human bone marrow displaying specific mRNA signatures to isolate and enrich for the SSCs.

Estimate query results within limited time constraints is a challenging problem in the research of big data management. Query estimation based on simple random samples per- forms well for simple selection queries; however, return results with extremely high relative errors for complex join queries. Existing methods only work well with foreign key joins, and the sample size can grow dramatically as the dataset gets larger. This research implements a scalable sampling scheme in a big data environment, namely correlated sampling in map-reduce, that can speed up search query length results, give precise join query estimations, and minimize storage costs when presented with big data. Extensive experiments with large TPC-H datasets in Apache Hive show that our sampling method produces fast and accurate query estimations on big data.

The community service program (CSP) aims to: (1). Increase productivity of Kerinci ducks which are germplasm by utilizing the potential of food crops (rice bran) and plantation waste (palm kernel meal) which can be used as Kerinci duck feed resources with biotricho technology, (2).  Increase Kerinci ducks population using breeding center technology with simple selection and hatching machines. The CSP activity was carried out by the method of active interaction between the implementers  and the target groups involved in this activity, namely: Keluarga Damai and Maju Jaya Mandiri Farmers Group in Tanjung Harapan Village, Kerinci Regency. Some of the implemented programs are: (1). Conseling and training, including: biotricho technology, breeding center technology, utilizing potential local feed stuffs, duck rations, duck selection, and hatching machines, (2). Practicing directly the application of biotricho technology to make formulation of local feed stuffs and breeding center technology with hatching machine technology and simple selection of Kerinci ducks at the Farmer Group level. The results of the activity indicated that the CSP program can be implemented and responded well by the Farmers Group in Tanjung Harapan Village, Kerinci Regency and the implementation of the CSP program is very beneficial for farmers, and Implementing Institutions because it can be a medium to transfer Knowledge and Technology especially the local Kerinci duck which is not done much yet and is not focused. Therefore, the results of studies and the efforts to develop local Kerinci ducks in the countryside are not optimal.

The present paper investigates the characteristics and best construction strategies of smart cities around the world, as well as the determining factors of the satisfaction of the quality of life and the importance of the value of environmental sustainability. A case study of the city of Kalampaka and its residents was examined. The survey was conducted between July 2016 and August 2016. The selection of the sample was done by using the method of simple selection and includes a random sample of N=150 individuals. Statistical analysis showed that resident’s knowledge about smart cities was fairly good (48% of sample knew the phrase “smart cities”). Furthermore, they believe that the appearance of the city of Kalampaka needs improvement (75% of sample is disappointed with the current appearance of the city). Regression analysis showed that the value of environmental sustainability is greatly influenced by the energy saving, as well as, innovation has an impact on the level of quality of life. Older people seem to be satisfied with administration’s efforts.
