Vehicular emission is a major environmental health problem in the world today especially in developing countries including Nigeria. This study was centered on assessing the vehicular emissions pollutants such as Carbon monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Formaldehyde (HCHO) and Total Volatile Organic Compound (TVOC) in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The sampling of the CO and H2S gaseous pollutants was done using H-4S gas analyzer while JCG60 gas detector was used to measure TVOC and HCHO. The meteorological parameters were measured with HTC-1 hygrometer thermometer. AQI was calculated to determine the status of the ambient air quality of the study areas. Carbon monoxide concentration obtained from the result ranges from 3.12-16.1 ppm with location C having the highest amount of 16.1 ppm which exceeds the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) standard of 10 ppm. The calculated AQI shows that the study areas are all polluted. Continuous measurement and inventory of air pollutants should be encouraged, as this will enable the policymakers to effectively implement control measures on air pollution.

In this article, we present a versatile gas detector that can operate on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The device has six electrochemical modules, which can be selected to measure specific gases, according to the mission requirements. The gas intake is realized by a miniaturized vacuum pump, which provides immediate gas distribution to the sensors and improves a fast response. The measurement data are sent wirelessly to the operator’s computer, which continuously stores results and presents them in real time. The 2 m tubing allows measurements to be taken in places that are not directly accessible to the UGV or the UAV. While UAVs significantly enhanced the versatility of sensing applications, point gas detection is challenging due to the downwash effect and gas dilution produced by the rotors. In our work, we demonstrated the method of downwash effect reduction at aerial point gas measurements by applying a long-distance probe, which was kept between the UAV and the examined object. Moreover, we developed a safety connection protecting the UAV and sensor in case of accidental jamming of the tubing inside the examined cavity. The methods presented provide an effective gas metering strategy using UAVs.

Along by a continuous improvement to composite electronic devices, a safety to technicians takes additionally become the matter to good concern, as a result to technicians' lives is in jeopardy while their work through shutting down circuit breakers, even that even once the breaker takes been switched off, someone will inadvertently flip to while a technician remains working. That should be a system to guarantee safety that technicians. Also, individuals do not love switching all the time toward turn on / off appliances like fans/lighting/air conditioners. It ends in wasted energy thanks to unnecessarily placing the instrument. To address these issues, we tend to come up through the system through mobile app-controlled circuit breakers that degrade wireless management to home appliances to hunt down a golem app. That replaces a traditional breaker through the mobile app-controlled system in the on / off system, where no one will activate the breaker, while not the word. The remote of home appliances helps a user to save electricity. That enhances a quality of life and luxury. Additionally, a system includes the home security mechanism against drone intrusion using the mobile app-controlled door lock system besides the mechanism that sleuthing dangerous gas leaks. A formation of the system subtracts the degree of victim associate ESP 32 microcontroller, the Bluetooth module, matrix 4x4 keyboards, and the paraffin gas detector associate with a golem mobile application. The entire system is usually compact systems.

Nanoparticles of the semiconductor ZnAl2O4 were prepared using a microwave-assisted wet chemistry method in the presence of ethylenediamine and calcination at 250 °C. The material’s crystallinity and purity were verified by X-ray diffraction. The pure phase of the ZnAl2O4 presented a cubic crystalline structure with cell parameters a = 8.087 Å and space group Fd-3m (227). Dynamic tests in propane atmospheres were carried out on pellets (~500 µm in diameter) manufactured with ZnAl2O4 powders. In the tests, the oxide showed variations with time in electrical resistance when injecting air-propane at an operating temperature of 250 °C. The pellets showed good stability, high sensitivity, and an optimal dynamic response as a function of time. On the other hand, a mathematical model was proposed to describe the chemical sensor’s dynamic behavior based on the electrical response and linear systems theory. The sensor’s transient response was obtained with the model by exposing the oxide to air and propane gas; its stability was checked, and the stabilization time was calculated. Subsequently, an operating point was selected, and, with it, a propane gas detector was designed. The sensor operated flawlessly at 250 °C at a concentration of 1000 ppm, with a response time of three seconds. The developed device is inexpensive and easy to implement.

Mineral excavation is a common process throughout the world. The open pits remaining after the closure of a mine require well-considered and meticulous reclamation activities aimed at restoring the environmental properties of a given area. The inspections carried out in Poland indicate numerous irregularities in implementing the reclamation process. The research in this study was conducted in six measurement series and includes both chemical and olfactometry determinations by devices: multisensor portable gas detector and field olfactometer. Statistical analysis of the results obtained show high concentrations in ambient air of both chemical compounds (NH3, VOCs, H2S, CH3SH) and odour, excluding the possibility of occurrence in the pit of only waste types contained in the administrative decision on reclamation. In addition to the unpleasant odour, the listed compounds can have dangerous effects on the health and life of living organisms. This paper presents a suitable method of control and detection of irregularities in the conducted processes. The main advantage is the relatively low cost of purchasing sensors and field olfactometers compared to other devices, and the possibility to test the polluted air in situ, without the risk of chemical processes occurring during transport of gas samples to the laboratory.
