Saponification tamarind seed oil used potassium hydroxide and acidification with hydrochloric acid is produced fatty acid in the form of soft white solid, has melting point 50-55 degrees celcius. The result of this hydrolysis positive test of unsaturation. It has an acid number of 115.36, saponification number of 114.80, and iodine number of 53.34. The success of hydrolysis of oil into fatty acid is characterized by identification of IR spectra showing O-H vibration with moderate intensity and widening, C=O vibration of carboxylic acid with strong intensity. Fatty acids of tamarind seed have the potential as antibacterial to test bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli with diameter respectively 7.31 mm and 7.58 mm. Minyak biji asam jawa yang disaponifikasi menggunakan kalium hidroksida dan pengasaman dengan asam klorida dihasilkan asam lemak berupa padatan lunak berwana putih, memiliki titik lebur 50-55 derajat celcius. hasil hidrolisis ini positif uji ketidakjenuhan, bilangan asam 115,36, bilangan penyabunan 114,80, dan bilangan iod 53,34. Keberhasilan hidrolisis minyak menjadi asam lemak ditandai dari identifikasi spektrum IR yang menunjukkan vibrasi ulur O-H dengan intensitas sedang dan melebar serta vibrasi ulur C=O asam karboksilat dengan intensitas kuat. Asam lemak biji asam jawa berpotensi sebagai antibakteri terhadap bakteri uji Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli dengan zona hambat masing-masing 7,31 mm dan 7,58 mm.

The density of anthropogenic activity in the port of blue fish leads to the contribution of heavy metals in sediments. The method of leaching is an important method to dissolve all zinc in the sediment precision and accuracy. Research on zinc levels in sediments has been widely practiced, but fractionation and distribution of zinc attachment in Blue Spring sediment using BCR Sonification. The results of the zinc analysis using BCR Sonification method gave precision value of 0.49 percent, and accuracy of 91.20 percent, the results showed that BCR method has high precision and accuracy value. The fractionation of zinc metal in the sediments shows that zinc is dominant in non-resistant (1) fractions comprising an ion exchange fraction, (2) carbonate bound fraction, (3) reduction fraction and (3) an oxidation fraction with a percentage of 10.16 percent; 23.52 percent; 21.25 percent. Whereas in the fraction resistant or residual fraction the concentration of zinc in the sediment was 45.07%. The distribution of zinc levels in sediments at nine locations in Sendang Biru ranged from 36.6 mg/kg - 239,78mg/ kg indicating that the Blue Sendang sediment was partly contaminated from anthropogenic because the zinc levels had exceeded the ereference of 120 mg/ kg. Padatnya kegiatan antropogenik di pelabuhan ikan sendang biru menyebabkan adanya kontribusi seng dalam sedimen. Metode leaching merupakan metode yang penting untuk melarutkan semua seng dalam sedimen secara presisi dan akurasi. Penelitian kadar seng dalam sedimen telah banyak dilakukan, tetapi fraksinasi dan distribusi keterikatan seng dalam sedimen Sendang Biru menggunakan metode BCR Sonifikasi. Hasil penelitian analisis seng menggunakan metode BCR Sonifikasi memberikan nilai presisi sebesar 0,49 persen, dan akurasi sebesar 91,20 persen, hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode BCR memiliki nilai presisi dan akurasi yang tinggi. Fraksinasi logam seng dalam sedimen menunjukkan bahwa seng dominan pada fraksi non resisten yang terdiri dari fraksi (1) pertukaran ion, (2) fraksi terikat karbonat, (3) fraksi reduksi, dan (4) fraksi oksidasi dengan presentase sebesar 10,16 persen; 23,52 persen; 21,25 persen, sedangkan pada fraksi resisten atau fraksi residu konsentrasi seng dalam sedimen adalah 45,07 persen. Distribusi kadar seng dalam sedimen pada sembilan lokasi di Sendang Biru berkisar antara 36,6mg/kg - 239,78mg/kg. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sedimen Sendang Biru sebagian terkontaminasi dari antropogenik dengan kadar melebihi ambang batas yaitu sebesar 120 mg/kg.

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang isolasi dan karakterisasi ekstrak aseton biji mangga golek (Mangifera indica Linn) serta uji aktivitasnya sebagai antibakteri. Isolasi dilakukan dengan maserasi dan sokhletasi menggunakan aseton diperoleh cairan kental berwarna putih kekuningan. Ekstrak biji mangga ini larut dalam air, metanol, aseton, serta etil asetat, tidak larut dalam kloroform dan heksana, positif pada uji golongan fenolik, flavonoid, terpenoid, saponin, dan tanin, serta aktif sebagai antibakteri kategori tinggi terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Pemurnian pada ekstrak biji mangga menggunakan kromatografi kolom gravitasi dengan eluen kloroform : etil asetat (4:1). Hasil pemurnian diperoleh Komponen B yang berupa padatan putih. Komponen ini mempunyai titik lebur 41-43 oC, larut dalam heksana, kloroform, dan etil asetat; memudarkan warna larutan brom; positif pada uji golongan senyawa saponin; memiliki panjang gelombang maksimum 224,20 nm dan panjang gelombang maksimum 338,60 nm; memiliki vibrasi ulur C=O ester, C-O ester, dan vibrasi ulur C=C, serta aktif sebagai antibakteri kategori sedang terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.

There has been research on the isolation, characterization, and identification of triglyceride seeds of mango golek (Mangiifera indica Linn) and its activity as antibacterial. Isolation process by maceration and soxhlet produces smooth component as triglycerides and was creamy white in colour. These golek mango seed kernel triglicerides has melting point 34-36 degree celcius, soluble in hexane, chloroform, acetone, and ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in methanol and insoluble in water, has a carbon-carbon double bond, acid number of 2.8, saponification number of 336.6, and iodine number of 25.4. The GC-MS anlysis of methyl ester shown fatty acids contain in golek mango seed kernel triglicerides. The fatty acids are hexadecanoic (26.31 percent), heptadecanoic (0.6 percent), 9-octadecenoic (28.70 percent), octadecanoic (25.86 percent), 11-eicosenoic (1.74 percent), eicosenoic (11.20 percent), docosanoic (2.47 percent), and tetracosanoic acid (2.39 percent). Triglycerides of golek mango seed kernel has no potential as an antibacterial against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai isolasi, karakterisasi, dan identifikasi trigliserida biji mangga golek (Mangiifera indica Linn) serta aktivitasnya sebagai antibakteri. Isolasi dilakukan dengan maserasi dan soxhletasi menggunakan aseton diperoleh komponen padatan lunak berwarna putih kekuningan. Trigliserida biji mangga golek ini mempunyai titik lebur 34-36 derajat celcius, larut dalam heksana, kloroform, aseton, dan etil asetat, sedikit larut dalam metanol, tidak larut dalam air, memiliki ikatan rangkap C=C, mempunyai bilangan asam 2,8, bilangan penyabunan 336,6, dan bilangan iod 25,4. Analisis secara GC-MS terhadap metil ester hasil trans-esterifikasi trigliserida biji mangga golek diperoleh informasi asam lemak penyusunnya. Asam-asam lemak tersebut adalah asam heksadekanoat (26,31 persen), heptadekanoat (0,60 persen), 9-oktadekenoat (28,70 persen), oktadekanoat (25,86 persen), 11-eikosenoat (1,74 persen), eikosenoat (11,20 persen), dokosanoat (2,47 persen), dan tetrakosanoat (2,39 persen). Trigliserida biji mangga golek tidak memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus.

Cu that is absorbed in marine sediments can accumulate in the food chain even in small concentrations. Cu analysis in these sediments can be used to analyze water pollution due to human activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Cu in decomposed sediments with variation of solvent concentration, variation of decomposition time, and variation of solvent volume and then compare the result of Cu analysis decomposed using HNO3 solvent under effective condition with aqua regia solvent. The method of analysis used is decomposition technique of sediment sample by using reflux and then analyzed with AAS.. Cu yang terserap dalam sedimen laut dapat berakumulasi dalam rantai makanan meskipun dalam konsentrasi kecil. Analisis Cu dalam sedimen ini dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis pencemaran perairan akibat aktivitas manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan kadar Cu dalam sedimen yang didekomposisi dengan variasi konsentrasi pelarut, variasi waktu dekomposisi, dan variasi volume pelarut dan membandingkan hasil analisis Cu yang didekomposisi menggunakan pelarut HNO3 pada kondisi efektif dengan pelarut akuaregia. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu teknik dekomposisi sampel sedimen dengan menggunakan refluks dan dianalisis dengan SSA.
