This study aims to reveal the meaning of music notation writing of gitar tunggal Lampung Pesisir written by Imam Rozali. Imam is a gitar tunggal player who wrote his technique and playing style in notation symbols. This article uses a case study research design with pattern matching techniques (Yin, 2018). Data were collected through observation, interviews, document analysis, and audio recordings.  A series of tests were carried out on the notation and other supporting information to improve the validity of the data.  Laboratory analysis was carried out to describe signs, interpret symbols, and compare Western musical notation. As a result, (1) the music notation written by Imam Rozali is a musical expression used as a medium for remembering; (2) the writing of Imam Rozali’s musical notation constructs his musical identity as a Gitar tunggal Lampung Pesisir player; (3) Imam Rozali’s music notation symbolizes an indigenous style which has its concept of gitar tunggal music; (4) Imam Rozali tries to add value to his musical identity among gitar tunggal players because the notation is a symbol of intellectuality.

Abstract: People lost, people missing etc., these are the words we come across whenever there is any mass gathering events going on or in crowded areas. To solve this issue some traditional approaches like announcements are in use. One idea is to identify the person using face recognition and pattern matching techniques. There are several techniques to implement face recognition like extraction of facial features by using the position of eyes, nose, jawbone or skin texture analysis etc., By using these techniques a unique dataset can be created for each human. Here the photograph of the missing person can be used to extract these facial features. After getting the dataset of that individual, by using pattern matching techniques, there is a scope to find the person with same facial features in the crowd images or videos. Map matching deals with matching GPS coordinates to corresponding points or segments on a road network map. The work has various applications in both vehicle navigating and tracking domains. Traditional rule-based approach for solving the Map matching problem yielded great matching results. However, its performance depends on the underlying algorithm and Mathematical/Statistical models employed in the approach. For example, HMM Map Matching yielded O(N2) time complexity, where N is the number of states in the underlying Hidden Markov Model. Map matching techniques with large order of time complexity are impractical for providing services, especially within time-sensitive applications. This is due to their slow responsiveness and the critical amount of computing power required to obtain the results. This paper proposed a novel data-driven approach for projecting GPS trajectory onto a road network. We constructed a supervised-learning classifier using the Multi-Label Classification (MLC) technique and HMM Map Matching results. Analytically, our approach yields O(N) time complexity, suggesting that the approach has a better running performance when applied to the Map matching-based applications in which the response time is the major concern. In addition, our experimental results indicated that we could achieve Jaccard Similarity index of 0.30 and Overlap Coefficient of 0.70.

AbstractThe correlation between static and dynamic mediolateral (ML) tilts of the joint line in the coronal plane remains unknown after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The purpose was to evaluate the ML tilt as measured by two-dimensional to three-dimensional registration during stair ascent in TKA patients, and to examine the correlation between the dynamic ML tilt and radiographic measurements of static indices. Thirty-two knees that underwent TKA using the mechanical alignment method were included. Continuous sagittal fluoroscopy was taken from before initial contact (IC) until after the toe-off (TO) phase during the stair ascent. The ML tilt of the tibial component relative to the ground was analyzed in terms of dynamic alignment using image-matching techniques, whereas static alignment was measured using standing long-leg radiographs. The correlation between static and dynamic ML tilts was evaluated. In the fluoroscopic analysis, the joint line was neutral (0.0 degree, standard deviation [SD] = 3.4 degrees) around IC phases, then was tilted valgus (5.5° valgus, SD = 2.6 degrees) in the mid-stance (MS) phase. After the TO phase, the joint line became almost neutral (0.4 degrees valgus, SD = 3.1 degrees). The dynamic ML tilt was significantly more varus during the IC phase and significantly more valgus in MS and TO phases than the static ML tilt (1.4 degrees valgus, SD = 2.0 degrees). No correlation was found between static and dynamic ML tilts in weight-bearing phases. During stair ascent, the static tilt had no correlation with the dynamic tilt in weight-bearing phases despite being in the same range. Static lower limb alignment does not reflect coronal alignment during motion. Further research should be conducted to determine whether the horizontal dynamic ML tilt can improve long-term durability and clinical outcomes after TKA.

This study aims to describe the form of speech errors of the candidates for Regional Head of Kulon Progo Regency. The research method used is qualitative descriptions. The data source is the utterances of the student speech. The data collection techniques are listening and note-taking. The data analysis used referential matching techniques and articulatory phonetic equivalents, extension techniques in the distribution method and sign reading technology. The results of the study shows that there are language errors in the form of speech of the candidates for Regional Head of Kulon Progo Regency The five areas of error are (1) phonological errors including phonological change, phoneme formation and pronunciation, (2) morphological errors including prepositions, repetition, tone, and combination of meN- and -kan prefixes, (3) syntax errors including ambiguous sentences, redundant words, and unclear sentence types (4) sociolinguistic errors, including misuse of language coding in sentences, and (5) spelling errors in capital letters, and punctuation.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pidato mahasiswa calon kepala daerah Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa tuturan pidato mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan simak dan catat.  Analisis data menggunakan teknik padan referensial dan padan fonetis artikulatoris, teknik perluasan dalam metode agih dan teknologi membaca tanda. Hasil penelitian terjadi kesalahan bahasa pada bentuk tuturan pidato mahasiswa calon kepala daerah Kabupaten Kulon Progo memiliki lima wilayah kesalahan yaitu (1) kesalahan fonologi termasuk kesalahan perubahan fonem, kesalahan pembentukan dan pengucapan fonem, (2) kesalahan morfologi meliputi preposisi, penulisan ulang, bentuk nada, dan tulis kombinasi prefiks meN- dan -kan, (3) kesalahan sintaks termasuk kalimat yang ambigu, rancu, kata-kata yang berlebihan, jenis kalimat yang tidak jelas (4) kesalahan sosiolinguistik, termasuk penyalahgunaan campur kode bahasa dalam kalimat, dan (5) kesalahan ejaan dalam huruf kapital, dan tanda baca.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to add to the debate concerning the merits of export promotion efforts by governments by investigating the effect of export promotion program (EPP) participation on the export performance of Dutch small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Design/methodology/approach The authors confront participation data of an EPP targeting SMEs with rich firm-level data and use propensity score matching techniques combined with regression analysis. Findings The authors show that exports generated by participants do generally rise in the years after program entry, however, export growth does not outpace that of comparable, but unsupported firms. Nonetheless, there is some evidence suggesting that export shares in sales rise faster among program entrants, particularly in the first and second years after participation. Furthermore, the authors present evidence suggesting that the probability of becoming a permanent exporter is higher for participants relative to beginning exporters that did not receive support from the program. Originality/value The analysis contributes to the still relatively small literature dealing with the impact of government export promotion instruments on export performance using firm-level micro-data. The subject of analysis are Dutch small businesses. SMEs, particularly operating in advanced economies, are a group that is not frequently considered separately in this respect.

This paper is a numeric-analytical work for highly efficient difference-frequency generation (DFG) by the integrated effect of total-internal-reflection-based optical rotation quasi-phase-matching (ORQPM) and nonresonant quasi-phase-matching techniques in a thin yttrium oxide-coated rectangular slab of magnesium oxide-doped lithium niobate crystal. The conversion efficiency of 37.2% has been obtained by ray-optics analysis, corresponding to an idler wavelength of 1570[Formula: see text]nm. Moreover, the guided-wave approach has also been analyzed for more accurate and realistic outcomes, yielding a peak conversion efficiency of 1.64%. The impact of the influencing factors like surface roughness, absorption, and nonlinear law of reflection has also been incorporated in the computer-aided simulation for providing a pragmatic understanding of the whole study.

To integrate massive amounts of heterogeneous biomedical data in biomedical ontologies and to provide more options for clinical diagnosis, this work proposes an adaptive Multi-modal Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (aMMOEA) to match two heterogeneous biomedical ontologies by finding the semantically identical concepts. In particular, we first propose two evaluation metrics on the alignment’s quality, which calculate the alignment’s statistical and its logical features, i.e., its f-measure and its conservativity. On this basis, we build a novel multi-objective optimization model for the biomedical ontology matching problem. By analyzing the essence of this problem, we point out that it is a large-scale Multi-modal Multi-objective Optimization Problem (MMOP) with sparse Pareto optimal solutions. Then, we propose a problem-specific aMMOEA to solve this problem, which uses the Guiding Matrix (GM) to adaptively guide the algorithm’s convergence and diversity in both objective and decision spaces. The experiment uses Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI)’s biomedical tracks to test aMMOEA’s performance, and comparisons with two state-of-the-art MOEA-based matching techniques and OAEI’s participants show that aMMOEA is able to effectively determine diverse solutions for decision makers.

Abstract Geometric morphometrics has become an important approach in insect morphology studies because it capitalizes on advanced quantitative methods to analyze shape. Shape could be digitized as a set of landmarks from specimen images. However, the existing tools mostly require manual landmark digitization, and previous works on automatic landmark detection methods do not focus on implementation for end-users. Motivated by that, we propose a novel approach for automatic landmark detection, based on visual features of landmarks and keypoint matching techniques. While still archiving comparable accuracy to that of the state-of-the-art method, our framework requires less initial annotated data to build prediction model and runs faster. It is lightweight also in terms of implementation, in which a four-step workflow is provided with user-friendly graphical interfaces to produce correct landmark coordinates both by model prediction and manual correction.
