Abstract A description is provided for Uncinula adunca. Information is included on the disease caused by the organism, its transmission, geographical distribution, and hosts. DISEASE: Powdery mildew of different members of the Salicaceae. Mycelium, conidiophores, conidia and ascomata form first white, then dirty-grey layers on damaged leaves of the host. When infection levels are high, the plants may lose their ornamental qualities.
