This study aims to explore the ambiguous nature of flow and the way it relates to inclination towards addiction. The results of an exploratory factor analysis indicate that the flow experienced by players has at least two components which are called in this study hedonistic flow (direct pleasure seeking) and eudaimonistic flow (escapism). The results of the regression analysis show that 54.4% of the variance of Internet addiction is accounted for by life competence, eudaimonistic flow in a game, excitement as an emotion experienced while playing a game and annoyance as an emotion experienced when it is not possible to play.

Identifying factors defining the effectiveness of integrated AIS in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment is really a challenging task. In our research, the effectiveness of integrated AIS in ERP is presented in the form of a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model. This study analyzes data collected from 178 Vietnamese garment companies with AIS in an ERP environment. Then, Cronbach’s Alpha test and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) are conducted to assess the reliability of variables. The result identifies 28 variables from Vietnamese garment companies’ managers view grouped into 4-dimensional constructs of the BSC model that define the effectiveness of integrated AIS in an ERP environment. The conclusion on garment companies’ AIS evaluation factors paves the way for future research on other Vietnamese industries’ AIS evaluation in an ERP environment.

The work is devoted to the study of the problem of dependence on cyberspace of young people. Experts increasingly believe that cyber-addiction is a pathological urge or disease that belongs to the category of non-chemical dependencies and has its own nosology, etiology, pathogenesis and requires prevention, treatment and psycho-correction. Thanks to the analysis of scientific achievements, their actual types were determined, a comprehensive model of classification was built taking into account socially accepted, pathological and cyber-addiction; the stages of cyber-addiction formation are separated. Thanks to the developed and tested method «Test-questionnaire for detecting cyber-addiction», it was found that the most typical addictions for young people are: computer addiction, Internet addiction, game addiction and gadget addiction; girls are more typical: cyber communicative addiction and selfitis. When considering age characteristics, it was found that the highest rates of 3rd degree of addiction are among people aged 19 to 21, a more even distribution of 2nd and 3rd degrees of addiction among people aged 14 to 15 years. Due to the factor analysis of the obtained results, it was established that an addict can have not one dependence, but several, although each of them may have a different degree of manifestation.

AbstractIn this article a hypothesis proposed and tested by RUMMEL is taken up again: external and internal conflict are unrelated to each other. In our attempt at replication we use data for 125 nations and for the years 1966-67. Like RUMMEL we use exploratory factor analysis and regression, and, in addition, confirmatory factor analysis. Results from exploratory factor analysis seem to support RUMMEL’s conclusions. Yet confirmatory factor analysis reveals at least moderately strong relationships between internal and external conflict. Regression analysis and partial correlations show, however, that zero order cross-country correlations between internal and external conflict can both be accounted for by population size.

Background: Internet use has spread across the world due to easy accessibility and affordability. However, it has been creating many problems at several levels. So, there is a need to identify the suitability of psychometric properties and the factor structure of the widely used Internet Addiction Test (IAT) in the Indian settings. Our objective was to perform an exploratory factor analysis on the IAT and to test the reliability of the scale. Methods: It was a cross-sectional study that included various professional groups. We used an online questionnaire that included sociodemographic details and Young’s IAT. Exploratory factor analysis was used to identify the factor structure of Young’s IAT in the Indian setup. Results: The mean age of the sample (N = 1,782) was 27.7 years (SD = 8.74) with a predominantly male population 1040 (58.4%). In total, 1.0% (17) of the sample had significant problems with internet usage, whereas 13% (232) were in the range of frequent/occasional problems, and the mean score on IAT was 32 (SD = 16.42). Exploratory factor analysis revealed two factors that explained 49% of the variance (Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin measure of sampling adequacy: 0.95, Bartlett’s test of sphericity: P = 0.000). They were “mood and relationship issues” and “duration and productivity.” Cronbach’s α was 0.92, which indicates a high level of internal consistency. Conclusion: In Indian settings, IAT can be understood based on the two-factor structure. The scale has excellent reliability. Further studies are needed to replicate these results, by using confirmatory factor analysis and validity testing.

Summary The article has a theoretical and empirical character. Identifying the internal structure of reasons of lack of Polish young potential employees’ interest in universities as employers was the main goal of this paper. To prepare its theoretical part the method of cognitive-critical analysis of world literature on marketing and management was applied. The results of this analysis show that the aspects connected with the mentioned reasons have not been studied yet. The more the opinions about the way of perception of universities’ employees in the comparison of other organizations’ employees have not been taken into account in the analysis. So one can talk about the existence of a cognitive gap and an empirical gap in this scope. Striving to reduce these gaps the empirical studies were conducted. The research covered representatives of Polish young potential employees. Gathered primary data were statistically analysed applying the following research methods and tests: exploratory factor analysis and Kruskal-Wallis test. The results of these analyses show that the opinions on relative perception of universities’ employees decide about differences in the structure of reasons of lack of interest in universities as employers. But the mentioned opinions are the element differentiating in a statistically significant way only one reason.

Clients of automotive service industries are always anxious for after sales service. The objective of this research is to determine the association of variables of service quality and client contentment in bike industries. The information was gathered using convenience sampling technique from 150 users of bike industries in the form of questionnaire developed using SERVQUAL model. The important variables were extracted utilizing exploratory factor analysis. Hypothesis of the research was analyzed using multiple regression analysis and ANOVA. The results of the research revealed that the variables reliability, empathy, responsiveness, assurance, accessibility and convenience are found statistically significant to determine customer contentment whereas tangibility is not found significant to determine customer contentment and findings indicate that management have to focus on attributes like interest in solving clients’ problem, clients’ question to be answered timely by staff, trust in you to be inculcated by staff, individual consideration by staff and stopping region.

The rise of exclusive puritanism movements challenges several communities to live in peaceful coexistence. This research aimed to observe the level of interreligious contact on university students. This was a threefold study. The first part was an initial inquiry to construct an interreligious contact scale. The second sought to see the inferential association between interreligious contact, belief in religious teachings (i.e. fundamental religious belief, kindly religious belief, and meta-religion endorsement), and collective narcissism. The third part was to investigate the differences between those variables, between students who joined student political organizations with religion-based ideology and those who did not. There were 381 respondents from various religious backgrounds (e.g. Muslim, Christian, and other) participating in this research. The result of the exploratory factor analysis indicated a unidimensionality of the interreligious contact scale. Regression analysis found that fundamental religious belief and collective narcissism made individuals less likely to exhibit interreligious contact. However, kindly religious belief and meta-religion endorsement encouraged interreligious contact. In addition, the independent sample t-test suggested that there was a difference of inclusivism level between religion-based student organization members and non-members. Members of such organization tended to exhibit a lower level of interreligious contact, while their level of fundamental religious belief and collective narcissism were higher compared to their non-member counterparts.

On the one hand, the adoption of managerial accounting in business is determined by corporate governance; on the other hand, it is also dependent on business environment and firm characteristic. Nonetheless, so far the causal relationships from corporate governance, business environment and firm characteristic to the adoption of managerial accounting in business  have not been empirically explored in Vietnam. This research is conducted to investigate the simultaneous effects of corporate governance, business environment and firm characteristic on the adoption of managerial accounting in business. This study employs  reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis to deal with the data. The findings indicate that, corporate governance, business environment and firm characteristic concurrently affect the adoption of managerial accounting in business.
