This paper describes the architecture and components of the distributed information and management system for collecting, processing, storing, and distributing data on a radiometric and dosimetric experiment using the principle of the Internet of Things. Data exchange between elements in the system, as well as the analysis of the received information, involves active application of the ThingSpeak cloud service. Two-way communication with the cloud with a 15-second loop has been implemented. Data are processed in the MATLAB (America) environment, integrated into the cloud. The developed hardware and software solutions demonstrate an increased accuracy of measurements due to the use of promising cadmium telluride (CdZnTe) detectors, modern microcontroller and micro communication technology, and a new algorithm for correcting the dependence of detector sensitivity on radiation energy. Measurement with correction by the method of average charge pulse amplitude is carried out in the energy range from 60 keV to 3 MeV. The resolution of the spectrometric channel is 6.5 % at the peak of 662 keV of full absorption from the reference source, Cesium (Сs – 137). The module for a laboratory sensor network, designed to measure the dose of ionizing radiation, has a built-in spectrometric analog-digital converter, microcontroller control, and a communication unit. Constructing the diagrams demonstrates the operation of the interrupt handler in the form of a series of events occurring when requests arrive from a Web server. The peculiarity of the system is the absence of intermediate devices that make it possible to establish a connection with the Internet. The developed system, equipment, algorithms, and programs are used for experimental studies of radiation and nuclear-physical processes. The existing stand-alone multimedia machines and online multimedia machines in the market have certain deficiencies, so they cannot meet the actual needs. Based on this, this research combines the actual needs to design and implement a multi-media system based on the Internet of Things and cloud service platform. Moreover, through in-depth research on the MQTT protocol, this study proposes a message encryption verification scheme for the MQTT protocol, which can solve the problem of low message security in the Internet of Things communication to a certain extent. In addition, through research on the fusion technology of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, this research designs scheme to provide a LightGBM intelligent prediction module interface, MQTT message middleware, device management system, intelligent prediction and push interface for the cloud platform. Finally, this research completes the design and implementation of the cloud platform and tests the function and performance of the built multimedia system database. The research results show that the multimedia database constructed in this paper has good performance.

Two years ago, the Mexican Transportation Institute began to develop a computer-based management system of the information collected by various organizations about accidents occurring on the Federal Road Network. This system combines the information gathered by these organizations with the purpose of completing and validating the data so that tools can be developed for processing and analyzing the validated data and the processed data and developed tools can be made available to users. It was decided to support the development of such efforts on computer databases already being generated, on database processing and management software, on geographic information systems, and on remote data-exchange systems (e.g., the Internet). The progress made so far in the development of the computer system is reviewed. The system has been named the “Relational Accident Database Management System for Mexican Federal Roads” (SAIACF, in Spanish). The information sources beneficial to this project are identified and analyzed. The ideal scheme conceived for the integration of the various information sources is presented, and the SAIACF system is outlined. Some of the results obtained after its application to the information corresponding to 1997 are shown. Also, the element that was generated to make the information and the tools available to users is described, and conclusions are drawn.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between individual and societal determinants of online privacy concern (OPC) and behavioral intention of internet users. The study also aims to assess the degree of reciprocity between consumers’ perceived benefits of using the internet and their OPC in the context of their decision-making process in the online environment. Design/methodology/approach The study proposes comprehensive model for analysis of antecedents and consequences of OPC. Empirical analysis is performed using the PLS–SEM approach on a representative sample of 2,060 internet users. Findings The findings show that computer anxiety and perceived quality of regulatory framework are significant antecedents of OPC, while traditional values and inclinations toward security, family and social order; and social trust are not. Furthermore, the study reveals that perceived benefits of using the internet are the predominant factor explaining the intention to share personal information and adopt new technologies, while OPC dominates in explanation of protective behavior. Research limitations/implications Although the authors tested an extended model, there might be other individual characteristics driving the level of OPC. This research covers just one country and further replications should be conducted to confirm findings in diverse socio-economic contexts. It is impossible to capture the real behavior with survey data, and experimental studies may be needed to verify the research model. Practical implications Managers should work toward maximizing perceived benefits of consumers’ online interaction with the company, while at the same time being transparent about the gathered data and their intended purpose. Considering the latter, companies should clearly communicate their compliance with the emerging new data protection regulation. Originality/value New extended model is developed and empirically tested, consolidating current different streams of research into one conceptual model.

Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Internet of Things(IoT) are popular domains in Computer Science. AIoT converges AI and IoT, thereby applying AI into IoT. When ‘things’ are programmed and connected to the Internet, IoT comes into place. But when these IoT systems, can analyze data and have decision-making potential without human intervention, AIoT is achieved. AI powers IoT through Decision-Making and Machine Learning, IoT powers AI through data exchange and connectivity. With the AI’s brain and IoT’s body, the systems can have shot-up efficiency, performance and learning from user interactions. Some studies show that, by 2022, AIoT devices such as drones to save rainforests or fully automated cars, would be ruling the computer industries. The paper discusses AIoT at a greater depth, focuses on few case studies of AIoT for better understanding on practical levels, and lastly, proposes an idea for a model which suggests food through emotion analysis.

Submission of Customs Declaration including matters regulated in the Customs Law. Furthermore, this matter is further elaborated based on the Minister of Finance Regulation. Customs Declaration can be submitted in writing on the form or in the form of Electronic Data. For those in the form of Electronic Data, it is delivered by submitting Electronic Data storage media in the form of diskettes or etc  to the Customs Office or through an Electronic Data exchange system. DJBC has issued a policy related to the full implementation (Mandatory) of the submission of customs declaration documents through the PDE system based on KEP-415 / BC / 2016 and began to be implemented effectively on January 1, 2019. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether this policy can be applied in all regions of Indonesia This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Based on secondary data, not all regions of Indonesia are affordable to the internet network. The constraints on the availability of infrastructure are a necessity that must be anticipated. The results of this discussion can be input into the improvement of related policies.

Abstract This paper presents a case study in the use of the Internet as a medium for exchange of information and delivery of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) capability. The case study describes a collaboration among researchers and staff at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Thar Designs, Inc., a small business in Pittsburgh, PA that designs and sells high-pressure fluid pumps. The objective of this case study is to identify the needs of small businesses in engineering industry in the area of Internet-based CAD/CAM services. The Internet-based interaction performed in this study encompassed various stages in an iterative product development process, consisting of design, data exchange, manufacturability analysis, and fabrication of a prototype.

Although experimental studies have shown a strong impact of text layout on the legibility of e- text, many digital texts appearing in eBook or the Internet use different designs, so that there is no straightforward answer in the literature over which one to follow when designing e- material. Therefore, in this chapter we shall focus on the text layout, particularly the influence of line length. This experiment is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the factor of line length by studying its effect on reading speed and accuracy using various columns [one column and two columns] with each page having the same amount of information. The second part tests a new approach which basically assumes that by using different colours for the first and last word of each line, it will improve students' reading level. This hypothesis was based on pervious findings over the difficulty of being able to immediately locate the following line (Chan and Lee 2005). In addition, this approach was based on explanation of the eye movement which, in the reading process, does not scan a line but stops for about ¼ of a second before jumping to new place such as at the end of the line when the eye goes back to the beginning of the new line.

The concept of smart cities has become prominent in modern metropolises due to the emergence of embedded and connected smart devices, systems, and technologies. They have enabled the connection of every “thing” to the Internet. Therefore, in the upcoming era of the Internet of Things, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) will play a crucial role in newly developed smart cities. The IoV has the potential to solve various traffic and road safety problems effectively in order to prevent fatal crashes. However, a particular challenge in the IoV, especially in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communications, is to ensure fast, secure transmission and accurate recording of the data. In order to overcome these challenges, this work is adapting Blockchain technology for real time application (RTA) to solve Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications problems. Therefore, the main novelty of this paper is to develop a Blockchain-based IoT system in order to establish secure communication and create an entirely decentralized cloud computing platform. Moreover, the authors qualitatively tested the performance and resilience of the proposed system against common security attacks. Computational tests showed that the proposed solution solved the main challenges of Vehicle-to-X (V2X) communications such as security, centralization, and lack of privacy. In addition, it guaranteed an easy data exchange between different actors of intelligent transportation systems.
