One of the problems of history learning in the rural and vocational schools lies in the gap between the learning objectives, which covers philosophical, normative-educative, and political purposes, and the students’ learning purposes that tend to be pragmatic. This paper seeks to construct a concept and practice of local history learning that accommodate those learning objectives for the rural and vocational schools. Through library research methods, the author formulates the concept of the practicality of history into a conceptual foundation for learning local history in rural and vocational schools. The practicality of history emphasizes the benefits of the learning history for the daily lives of students. Learning local history in rural schools is focused on analyzing and exploring local potential, according to what extent it can be useful to fulfill the basic needs of students. In vocational schools, local history learning is directed to strengthening students' skills to align with the concept of link and match. Practically, the local history learning in rural and vocational schools can be carried out in the form of project-based learning, for instance, Historical Project-based Learning.

This study aims to determine the relevance of local history learning to increasing critical thinking skills. Today's critical thinking skills have become the main ability students must have, but the history learning application which still tends to focus on improving students' cognitive by requiring students to memorize historical facts, makes students not have the opportunity to think critically. The lack of discussion of local history is also a problem in itself for learning history, even though local history can help students find meaning in learning history by examining events that are close to the student's environment. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest and posttest design. The results obtained indicate that historical learning that integrates local history using a contextual teaching and learning approach can improve students' critical thinking skills, this can be proven by the t test which was carried out by obtaining a significance of 0.00 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant and positive influence on history learning. local to improve students' critical thinking skills.

The challenge of the beginning of the econmy local history development. Interest Study of econmoy Local history in the colonial. The background of this research is necessary the developing of the history material lesson with local economy history material in the colonial. Because of lack of material in accordance with KKNI 2013 Curiculum. The characteristic of the targets and the needs of studnts and some relics of the local history in East Sumatra in the colonial underutilized in learning history. Plug Scientific and Technological progress more sophisticated so that students lazy to seek and read the history books. For it, the researchers developed history material lesson used RnD method (Research and Development) that is research used to product certain products and test products effectivenese. Purpose of this research are : (1) describe material lesson that during this time used in history about economy local history in the colonial in East Sumatra for student at third semester in JPS FIS Unimed, (2) product mateial lesson according to the needs of the history learning especially economy local history substance for students, (3) knowledge and analyzed effectivenese of material lesson that developed in economy local hisory learning about interest study for students. The result of research howing (1) the developed of material lesson shaped economy local history substance in colonial (2) students more understanding with economy local history in colonial, students activity involved in laerning-teaching process and more motivated and easy to understand history lesson, interest study and curiousity of students more high, and (3) the booklet effectivenese give the positive influence to interest study. The conclusion of this research are (1) the developing of history lesson material through two steps testing by expert team (2) application of history lesson material can make students more interest to study history, brave argued opinion, active in learning process and respect for opinions other people, (3) application of developing of history lesson material has did by research give the positive influence for interest study of students. Based on same of the above conclusions, researcher ask the suggestion as here. The teacher should start to develop materials in accordance with the curiculum, the good lesson material should comply all effective, efficient and innovative criteria and following the development of science nad technology. Keywords : history lesson material, bookled, economy local history.

<p>This research aims to improve the understanding of Pancasila values and improve the achievement of learning history in the midst of the identity of the nation. Strengthening historical learning determines how implementation will impact the quality of the nation's identity, by improving the quality of historical learning by planting Pancasila values will impact students in general. The number of negative influences on a country is a fading of sublime values that can be seen in a country, and this is what is happening in Indonesia today, with the influence of globalization one of which is the influence of outside cultures that do not conform to Pancasila values. Through the application of cooperative learning models with picture and picture methods, this research uses class action research methods through two cycles consisting of the introduction, core activities, and cover. The results showed that the cooperative learning method with picture and picture model can improve the understanding of Pancasila values of 3rd graders in SMA N 4 KUPANG. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to improve the material understanding of Pancasila values continuously in SMA N 4 Kupang NTT.</p>

Abstract History learning should be done creatively and innovatively that interests students. This research provides an alternative framework for historical learning by packaging materials spreading Hindu-Buddhist temples in Tulungagung with a constructivism approach. This study uses the literature study method. The data source comes from books, articles, and research report results that fit the topic. Various library materials are processed, identified, analyzed, and reflected to create new findings. As a result, there are seven temple sites in Tulungagung Regency, namely Boyolangu Temple, Sanggrahan Temple, Meja Temple, Dadi Temple, Mirigambar Temple, Ampel Temple, and Penampihan Temple. The material of the distribution of temples in Tulungagung can be used as the content of learning media. Implementation of learning media is integrated with the constructivism approach through the learning cycle model. Stages of the learning cycle include discovery, concept recognition, and concept application. In conclusion, the integration of local history materials can strengthen student's local historical awareness. Keywords: learning, history, temple, Tulungagung, constructivism Abstrak Pembelajaran sejarah seharusnya dilakukan secara kreatif dan inovatif yang menarik minat siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif kerangka pembelajaran sejarah melalui pengemasan materi persebaran candi Hindu-Buddha di Tulungagung dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber data berasal dari buku, artikel dan hasil laporan penelitian yang sesuai dengan topik. Berbagai bahan pustaka diproses, diidentifikasi, dianalisis dan direfleksikan sehingga tercipta temuan baru. Hasilnya terdapat tujuh situs candi di Kabupaten Tulungagung yaitu Candi Boyolangu, Candi Sanggrahan, Candi Meja, Candi Dadi, Candi Mirigambar, Candi Ampel, dan Candi Penampihan. Materi persebaran candi di Tulungagung dapat digunakan sebagai isi dari media pembelajaran. Implementasi media pembelajaran terintegrasi dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme melalui model siklus belajar. Tahapan siklus belajar meliputi discovery (penemuan), pengenalan konsep, dan aplikasi konsep. Kesimpulannya integrasi materi sejarah lokal dapat menguatkan kesadaran sejarah lokal siswa. This article tries to give input regarding innovation in history learning, especially in the aspect of the learning approach. Learning history is often regarded as a boring subject, full lessons with memorizing facts as well as the way the teaching is sometimes still using the old paradigm, where learning activities are teacher-centered, students only become passive subjects. To overcome this problem so that teaching history becomes more interesting and meaningful, it is necessary to find alternative solutions. The solution offered in this article is to use a constructivism approach, by applying this approach it is expected that students are able to build their knowledge independently so that they are able to capture the meaningfulness of a historical event. Especially local history which has been facilitated since the curriculum changes, because so far local history has not been seriously explored in historical teaching materials in schools.

This article aims to provide some reflections regarding instructional praxis in the amidst of global pandemic and insights of digital history as an alternative solution that can be used for local history learning in this unprecedented situation. In doing so, research problems were formulated, data (especially from peer-reviewed articles) were gathered, corroborated, presented and discussed accordingly. This study finds that Covid-19 has changed the educational landscape worldwide, including Indonesia. Given the unfortunate condition of the pandemic, many educational institutions shifted their teaching and learning into online. It provides various challenges as well as opportunities to use various new digital media in education, including digital history. Emerged in the late 20th century, digital history provides opportunities for history teachers or educators to use it as sources of history learning, especially on local history. Using various primary sources available online, teachers could design new instructional materials or project-based learning on local history.

The focus of this research is Kraton Buton as a source of local history in history learning. This study describes or describes the Kraton Buton as an ancestral heritage of the Buton Sultanate which has a beautiful and majestic place and has civilization and cultural values ​​that historians need to exploit as a source of local history, in order to foster students' awareness of their local history and culture. Data search is done through observation, interview and documentation. The methodology used is qualitative with Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model approach that is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, to browse and uncover the facts. The result of this research is Kraton Buton as the former government center of Buton Sultanate and as the center of Buton culture keeps unique and interesting relics. The management effort of the palace area in 2003 by the Baubau City government through the Tourism Department opened the space for Kraton Buton to be used as a source of local history by the public widely including for scientific research purposes. The opening of Kraton Buton also encourages the role of history teacher to utilize Kraton Buton as a source of local history in learning history in class.   Fokus penelitian ini adalah Kraton Buton sebagai sumber sejarah lokal dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan Kraton Buton sebagai warisan leluhur Kesultanan Buton yang memiliki tempat yang indah dan megah dan memiliki peradaban serta nilai-nilai budaya yang perlu untuk dimanfaatkan oleh guru sejarah sebagai sumber sejarah lokal, agar dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa atas sejarah dan budaya lokalnya. Pencarian data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, untuk menelusuri dan mengungkap fakta tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Kraton Buton sebagai bekas pusat pemerintahan Kesultanan Buton dan sebagai pusat kebudayaan Buton menyimpan peninggalan-peningalan yang unik dan menarik. Upaya pengelolaan wilayah kraton pada tahun 2003 oleh pemerintah Kota Baubau melalui Dinas Pariwisata membuka ruang bagi Kraton Buton untuk dijadikan sebagai sumber sejarah lokal oleh masyarakat secara luas termasuk untuk keperluan penelitian karya ilmiah. Terbukanya Kraton Buton ini pula mendorong peran guru sejarah untuk memanfaatkan Kraton Buton sebagai sumber sejarah lokal dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas.

<p><em>Cultural relics in the Hindu-Buddhist era in the form of temples are part of local history that can provide positive values for students. The temple, which contains artifacts in the form of souvenirs, provides interesting local history material when it is explained with great inspiration by an innovative and creative teacher. This research was studied using a qualitative approach. The data collection process was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and document study. This research is aimed at seeing the importance of the legacy of a civilization, namely the temple, to be put forward in local history learning materials. This is a means for the formation of national identity through historical awareness and cultural awareness, as well as a teacher or teacher approach to introducing students to local wisdoms that exist around them. Learning like this will make students understand the history of themselves or their environment.</em></p>
