This study aimed to reveal the degree to which the Jordanian university students possess digital citizenship skills through the selected set of variables: (gender, type of the college, the university, the academic year- level).Using a descriptive analytical method, a (45) item questioner was developed divided into three categories. The first, digital responsibility skills. The second, digital skills and the third, digital safety skills. The sample consisted of (5200) students, who were randomly selected form (6) universities. Results indicated that the degree of possessing digital skills was high. Whereas possessing the digital safety and digital responsibility skills was moderate. The study indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean responses of the respondents according to different variables (sex, college and school year), while it pointed out that there are differences according to variable difference (University) between the University of Jordan and Mu'tah University in favor of University of Jordan.

This article discusses the needs and interests of the university students in Banten Indonesia for learning to write with an integrative approach as an initial stage in the development of academic writing textbooks. The participants in this study were 60 students in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year who took an Indonesian language course. It was found that students were familiar with writing activities. But the majority were limited to non-academic genres such as writing poetry, short stories, and writing personal blogs. Also, students have almost the same problems in academic writing, both from linguistic aspects, technical aspects, to issues of developing writing ideas. Another thing that was found in this study was the participation of lecturers who they expected in guiding and providing input during academic writing learning.

This study focuses on the results obtained from the teacher's assessment of Project-Based Learning, a methodological approach that implies a change in the university pedagogical paradigm that affects both the teaching and learning processes. To this end, a study is carried out taking as a sample university teachers during the academic year 2018-2019. Among the results obtained, it is worth mentioning that the teacher considers the Project-Based Learning a methodology that favours in the classroom, constituting a valid alternative to improve the quality of learning in university students.

Abstract This study tries to identify, classify, describe and find out the causes of the morphological errors made by the fourth year university students majoring in English in Jordan. The students who participated in the study were 20 students from Al–Zaytoonah Private University of Jordan. The procedure followed was essay writing. After analyzing the errors, the study shows that (a) the students’ competence in English morphology is poor and (b) The errors are caused by some factors such as the inconsistency in English as well as misapplication of rules. Interference and overgeneralization are also other causes. Since the course of morphology is selective in the university plan, it is also considered as an important cause. In order to reduce their errors, the researcher has suggested some remedies.

Higher prevalence of albuminuria, glycosuria, and haematuria was reported in the obese people than control. We aimed to analyze the BMI and urinalysis markers among the university students aged 18-21 years old in the IIKBW, Kediri to study any correlations and differences between these variables, which to the best of our knowledge has yet widely reported in Indonesia. This study has ethics approval from Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. The BMI was analyzed from the body weight and height of male (n=74) and female (n=76) students with no health problems recorded. The pH, nitrites, protein, erythrocytes, glucose in the urine were measured qualitatively with a dip-stick method, blinded, using the midstream urine sample collected in the morning. Data were analyzed using SPSS 17, with a level of significance of p<0.05. Abnormal pH (n=75), positive nitrites (n=24), haematuria (n=6), and proteinuria (n=149) were recorded. About 22% of students suffered from type I obesity, and 8.7% of type II. Males were significantly suffered from the obesity whilst females from the overweight (p<0.05). No significant correlations between the BMI and each urinalysis marker (BMI and nitrites p=0.936; BMI and protein p=1; BMI and pH p=0.835; BMI and blood, p=0.486; respectively); no one were found with glycosuria. No significant differences either on the BMI or the 5 urinalysis markers between male and female groups (p>0.05). Whilst no positive glycosuria samples were identified; 18.9% of males and 13.2% of females have positive nitrites, 100% of males and 98.7% of females have positive proteinuria, 2.7% of males and 7.9% of females have positive haematuria. There were 7.33% of males and 6% of females having an increased pH; whilst 20.66% of males and 16% of females having a decreased pH. Amongst the seemingly healthy university students, we found cases of urinalysis marker impairment, although no significant correlations on the BMI to the urinalysis markers that may be representing early detection for renal diseases were observed.

Stress is defined as a dynamic condition in which an individual is confronted with an opportunity, constraint, demand related to what he or she desires and for which the outcome is perceived to be both uncertain and important. This study focused on the manifestations and the sources of stress on faculty members of Hail University for the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2018-2019.  A quantitative-comparative approach was employed in this study. There were 236 faculty who had participated in the study resulting to 94.4% response rate. Data collection started from February 2019 to April 2019. To measure manifestations and the sources of stress, the Total Teacher Concern Inventory was used. This consists of 48 distinct statements. Weighted mean, Analysis of Variance (F-test), and (t-test) were used.  All statistical analyses were performed at 0.05 level of significance. Results shows that the faculty disagreed that the sources of stress from work-related stressors (3.47). A significant difference between time management and sex (0.04) was determined. Likewise, a significant difference between gastrointestinal manifestations (0.01), behavioral manifestations (0.01) and the faculty’s age was obtained.

One of the educational challenges faced by Latin American universities is the development of digital citizenship competence in their students on issues of digital identity, security and privacy online. The aim of the study was to identify the perception of Mexican and Colombian university students towards the preventive measures of online privacy. For that purpose, a mixed-cut study was carried out. For the quantitative part, a survey made up of 20 items was applied to 1,245 university students. Meanwhile, for the qualitative part, 42 university students were asked to answer open questions. The quantitative analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics for data by country and gender. In order to test the hypotheses about the existence of significant differences, the Kruskal-Wallis test was chosen. While for the qualitative part, the university student responses were transcribed, the information was organized, and the main contributions of the students were presented. The results indicate that Mexican and Colombian university students have a favorable attitude towards preventive measures of online privacy. No significant differences were detected in the items on preventive measures of online privacy with respect to the variables Country, and Gender. The stories of the university student show a late development in the attitudes and skills regarding preventive measures of online privacy that begins with entering university, and that is consolidated over time. In addition, inconsistencies were detected between the favorable attitude expressed by students towards a broad use of online care with respect to the informants' narratives. The current study aimed to investigate the most common translation problems that encountered the Saudi students in translating some of the literary items from Arabic into English. In addition, the study tried to investigate the most difficult terms that the students faced while translating them. Moreover, it aimed to explore the participants’ point of views behind such translation problems. To achieve the purpose of the study, a translation test, which involved 20 items and expressions, was prepared in advance. Furthermore, an interview was made to the participants to ask them about their point of views concerning the reasons behind encountering such translation problems. The sample of the study consisted of 15 male fourth year English-majored university students, who were chosen purposefully, at the University College of Taymaa in the first semester of the academic year 2017/2018 in Saudi Arabia. The design of the study was a qualitative as well as quantitative method. The data that were obtained from the participants’ answers in the translation test as well as the participants’ point of views in the interview were analyzed using the appropriate statistical analyses. The findings of the study showed that the students’ achievement in translating the items of the terms of address was the best compared with their results in the other two groups (lexical and cultural). Moreover, the analysis of the students’ interviews indicated that the lack of practice and lack of translation courses are a main reason in facing such these problems. Based on the findings, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions to develop students’ translation competence such as increasing the number of the translation courses that are presented to the students in their studying to have more practice in the process of translation. Moreover, more concentration should be given to the lexical, cultural, and terms of address problems in translation. Besides, students must be trained on how to use the bilingual dictionaries in the process of translation to get the intended meaning while rendering from Arabic into English and vice versa.

<p class="apa">The study aimed to probe the degree of adherence by students of the University of Jordan to moral values. To achieve this, a survey was prepared and distributed to a random sample of 1769 students in the second semester of the 2013-2014 school year. The study showed a high degree of adherence to religious, social and behavioral values, and a moderate degree of adherence to emotive and mental values. The results revealed statistical significant variations in the degree of adherence to moral values within the sample, attributed to gender, and skewed towards females. There were no statistically significant variations found across students of different faculties.</p>

Water bottling industry has negative environmental impacts due to exploitation and possible pollution of water resources and due to solid waste problems related to the use of plastic bottles. To mitigate these impacts, it is important to study the link between consuming bottled drinking water and the perception of its quality. The objective of the study is to assess the perception of Birzeit University students’ of the bottled water marketed in the West Bank and its impact on the humans and the environment. Universities play an important role in providing awareness about environmental issues and sustainability, and university students are thought to be more environmentally conscious about these issues. A quantitative survey was used to analyze the behaviors and perceptions of Birzeit University students. The sample size was 375 students, distributed according to the college, gender, and the academic year at the university. The results show that the factors that affect the perception of the students are mainly the educational year at the university, the income, the family size, and the community type.
