Online examination systems exist as an attempt to expand the frontiers of learning and testing. The system is aimed at taking the advantages of web resources to reduce time, cost and other constraints associated with location defined examination. The development has been limited by the strictness of the examination format vis-à-vis keyword match which are boundary-defined. This constraint led to poor adoption of online testing systems which are essential in handling the problem associated with large enrollment. Existing systems do not allow examiners to test for knowledge in ways that they seem due; similar to the conventional classroom testing system. We leveraged on the advances in Natural Language Processing and the success emerging from same and therefore remodeled the examination system against some known concepts in text summarization, term dependencies, semantic tagging and corporal build-up using a standalone global API for semantic interpretation of answers. We improve the Levenshtein distance between two strings a, b using the triangular inequality to identify the relationship of two terms as applicable between questions and answers. The Levenshtein distance was denoted in php with the int levenshtein ( string $str1 , string $str2 ). The output of the research is the development of a subjective examination system that allows the self-grading of essay type question using a web based semantic API. The complexity of the algorithm is O(m*n), where n and m are the length of str1 and str2 The interface was coded in php with a MySQL supporting backend.

Semantic based text mining is essential in high dimensional data processing in today’s environment. In educational sector Question Answer (QA) evaluation has done using semantic as well as semantic analysis in many approaches. Numerous existing mechanisms have implemented using different machine learning algorithms. Semantic and semantic both works for evaluate the text data, but semantic approach should done same work with low time complexity. In this work system carried out automated text evaluation for online examination system with semi structured dataset. The system has categorized into two phases, NLP and Features base evaluation. Natural Language Processing (NLP) has used for preprocessing of data using tokenization, stop word removal, porter stemmer etc. Similarity technique has used for generate similarity score between test answer and train answer data. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) has used to generate the similarity score between two features vectors. Experimental analysis shows the how proposed system is better than some traditional approaches for semantic text evaluation

Examination System was necessary to separate teaching and testing. A web-based Examination System was developed with Java Web technologies. The system provided the functions, including question management, paper generation and test online. Also the combination of client-side programming and server-side programming techniques were used and analyzed.

Online examination system is a web-based examination system where examination is taken online i.e. through the internet or intranet using computer system. It is an effective solution for mass education evaluation. We have developed an online examination system based on a Browser/Server framework using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 for the design, C# 3.5 for coding, and Microsoft SQL Server as database. ASP.NET is the preferred web technology. The system carries out the examination and auto-grading for multiple choice questions which is feed into the system.KEY WORDS: Online, Examination, System, Auto-grading, Web-based.

The development of technology in the digital era is now very fast along with the growth of industries from all sectors. The 4.0 industrial revolution has begun to enter its era, which emphasizes the pattern of the digital economy, artificial intelligence, big data, robotic, or known as the phenomenon of disruptive innovation. Education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 or known as Education 4.0 is a phenomenon that responds to the need for the emergence of the industrial revolution 4.0 where humans and machines are aligned to get solutions, solve problems and of course discover new possibilities of innovation. The Era of Education 4.0 is very influential for the world of education, as it also experiences an increase in quality, speed and practicality. Online exams can be said to belong to the era of Education 4.0 because conventional exams (manual) have shifted towards computerization. Online test (Online Test) is one of the methods of evaluating learning outcomes or measuring a person's ability level using a computer. Therefore, the authors researched the web-based online exam system at SMK PGRI Cikampek. Currently the Midterm Examination (UTS) and Graduation Examination (UKK) systems that are implemented at the school are still conventional (manual). So that teachers often experience technical obstacles in processing questions and exam results, such as broken answer sheets, uneven distribution of questions, leakage of questions caused during distribution, and so on. With the online examination system the school can reduce or even minimize the problems that occur in the implementation of conventional exams (manual) because with a computerized system everything can be managed and monitored more neatly easily and centrally.

At present, the research on automatic evaluation of computer online examination system has become a hot issue. Natural language processing technology based on text mining has unique advantages in text similarity calculation. This paper designs the TR-BFS-WE-WMD integrated algorithm for automatic review of Chinese subjective questions based on text mining, uses the word database to integrate the BFS algorithm, realizes the calculation of the text full sentence similarity and keyword matching, and solves the problem of text semantic similarity. Experimental results prove that this algorithm has good accuracy and effectiveness. The TR-BFS-WE-WMD algorithm provides a useful attempt for the intelligent research of the computer automatic review system and has good practical value.

The transfer of knowledge and skills is a process that is closely linked to the measurement of its usefulness. It's hard to imagine teaching without considering the results and evaluation of students. At the same time, the current education system is based on a longstanding traditional paradigm. The aim of this article is to propose a new digital review system based on Microsoft visual studio (MSVS); it is the only one of its kind in terms of application versatility and also features professional interfaces for the interactive display of questions and answers. In our school, we have systematically assessed this program to determine the system performance of teaching staff and students, the findings of this study demonstrate the assumption that students were prepared for this type of knowledge; the evaluation result of the propose exam system outperforms conventional system about approximately 80%.
