This review focuses on recent research literature on the use of Semantic Web Technologies (SWT) in city planning. The review foregrounds representational, evaluative, projective, and synthetical meta-practices as constituent practices of city planning. We structure our review around these four meta-practices that we consider fundamental to those processes. We find that significant research exists in all four metapractices. Linking across domains by combining various methods of semantic knowledge generation, processing, and management is necessary to bridge gaps between these meta-practices and will enable future Semantic City Planning Systems.

The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology and artificial intelligence has become essential in many aspects of daily life since the expansion of the communications and information field. Healthcare is one area that urgently needs to benefit from these technologies to keep up with the dramatic evolution of communications for contemporary human life. IoT, through wearable devices, provides real-time data related to the measurement of a person’s vital signs of health. However, for this data to become more relevant and valuable, it needs to be linked to other domains. Public transport is a domain related to the daily activity of people who take advantage of the IoT to provide exemplary transport services whose quality of service can greatly affect people’s health. The integration of these two domains offers many benefits, especially when providing services adapted to passengers’ health status, making them safer and healthier. This paper proposes an approach based on an IoT architecture using Semantic Web technologies; it aims to integrate health monitoring in public transport, provide passengers with quality transport services, and ensure continuous health monitoring. The use of Semantic Web technologies overcomes the lack of interoperability due to the heterogeneity of data collected by different devices and generated by two different domains. An experimental study was conducted, and the proposed approach’s results were compared with those obtained by the evaluation of a physician. The results show that the approach is effective and should allow passengers to benefit from appropriate transport services that better match their health status.

Since ancient times, human beings have been interested in knowing their environment in order to make the right decisions in territorial management. The spatial component is a feature of great importance in the assets that surround us. Heritage geoinformation is a convenient and effective way for management, protection and safeguarding of cultural and natural heritage. For optimal compliance, it is nowadays indispensable to rely on the use of new web technologies and geomatics knowledge that allow the documentation, visualisation, monitoring and management of heritage. Therefore, the main objective of this article is to develop a web-based cultural heritage management system in Cantón Nabón, Ecuador, as a case study. The system, consisting of a web-based geoportal accessible to the whole society, will allow consulting the geolocalised heritage information of the study area on a virtual map, as well as 3D geovisualisation in an interactive web viewer. The integrated system, once implemented, will take into consideration the preventive conservation cycle in the heritage field, highlighting, in Spanish, the creation of the heritage data models according to ISO21127:2014.

In the article, the authors note that at present, especially in the field of education, the already existing processes of the development of new content thinking under the influence of Internet technologies are being actualized, as well as the need to develop reflection, starting from an early age of children and in artificial intelligence. The purpose of this article is an analytical study of the changes taking place in the thinking of consumers of Internet technologies. The authors note that in the current conditions of accelerating scientific and technological progress and the development of global information networks, qualitative changes are taking place in the mental activity of a modern person. The article examines topical issues related to the development of a new type of thinking – content thinking, conditioned by web technologies. The authors examined in detail the Internet technologies Web 3.0, Web 4.0 and their influence on the psychological content of the ontological foundations of human life on the basis of the methodological principles of the consistency of determinism and development. The authors identified the main characteristics of Web 3.0 and Web 4.0 content: semantic structure, cooperativity, clustering, ample opportunities for consumer self-expression, self-developing basic personal content, self-correcting system, effective and convenient information management, accessibility, simplicity and maximum convenience, development and use additional opportunities, human resource management in the current time mode, crystallization, the presence of the maximum possible consumer protection. The authors have shown the influence of Internet technology 3.0, 4.0 on the psychological content of the ontological foundations of human life, including new content thinking. The method of such thinking is synthetic deduction and the method of developing such thinking is the method of “synergetic deduction 3.0” developed by us.

Currently, when satellite data volumes grow rapidly and exceed petabyte values and their quality provides reliable analysis of long-term time series, traditional data handling methods assuming local storage and processing may be impossible to implement for small or distributed research teams. Thus, new methods based on modern web technologies providing access to very large distributed data archives are gaining increasing importance. Furthermore, these new data handling solutions should provide not just access but also analysis and processing features, similar to desktop solutions. This paper describes the VEGA-Science web GIS—an open-access novel tool for satellite data processing and analysis. The overview of its architecture and basic technical components is given, but most attention is paid to examples of actual system application for various applied and research tasks. In addition, an overview of projects using the system is given to illustrate its versatility and further development directions are considered.

Abstract. Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is one of the most deadly diseases that cause the death of millions around the world. Automatic collection and analysis of Covid-19 patient data will help medical practitioners in containing the virus. For this purpose, Semantic Web technologies can be utilized, which allows machine-processable data and enables data sharing, and reuse across machines. In this paper, we propose a Covid-19 ontology (named CODCA) that helps in collecting, analysing, and sharing medical information about people in the e-health domain. In particular, the proposed ontology uses information about medical history, drug history, vaccination history, and symptoms in order to analyse Covid-19 risk factors of people and their treatment plans. In this way, information about Covid-19 patients can be automatically processed and can be re-usable by other applications. We also demonstrate extensive semantic queries (i.e. SPARQL queries) to search the created metadata. Furthermore, we illustrate the usage of semantic rules (i.e. SWRL) so that treatment plans for individual patients can be inferred from the available knowledge.

In this study, Data Binding is discussed. However, in Web technologies, data binding on the front end comes to the fore. That is, it should not be affected by the development of interventions to be made in a department, and it should be aimed to be freed from software. This is a requirement of the rules for a minimal plugin that will not burden the correct code, and it has to maintain itself as renewing itself. The application part is written in JavaScript. The work done is also available to be added to other applications as a library. "Real software applications" as Data Binding are written with this object for the purpose of interconnecting.
