Indonesia’s economy has grown, which has led to the growth of a business. According to BPS Indonesia, there were 26 million more businesses in Indonesia in 2016. One of them is the cosmetics industry, which the minister of the industry says is important. Because there are so many different types of cosmetic industries and so much competition, manufacturers have to change their products to meet the needs of their customers. Eyeliner is a popular product in the cosmetics industry that many people use. Following the widening of Eyeliner products, many different brands came out with different levels of quality, features, and quantity, as well as other features. Consumers may switch brands because there are so many different brands for the same thing, along with their desire to find new products. Consumers look at the quality and features of a product, as well as other product attributes when they decide to switch brands. According to the results of data processing on hypothesis testing, Implora brand eyeliner has qualities and features that make people switch brands. This is based on validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests, as well as coefficients of determination. The sampling of 100 people was used in this study, which shows that product features and product quality have a big and positive impact on brand switching. According to the results of data processing on hypothesis testing, Implora brand eyeliner has qualities and features that make people switch brands. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of endorser, price and quality of products toward  Brand Switching Maybelline Solid Powder in Padang. The type of research is descriptive and qualitative research.  The sampling technique used is Purposive sampling.  The type of data used is primary  and secondary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression by using t test and F test.  The result of the research shows that there is a positive and insignificant influence between endorser variables on brand switching behavior of Maybelline solid powder in Padang. Then for price variable has no effect on brand switching, but there is significant influence between product quality variable to brand switching of Maybelline solid powder in Padang. Keywords : endorser,  price,  product quality,  brand switching

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of consumer dissatisfaction, needs to seek variations, and product quality on brand switching behavior from Smartfren mobile phones to other mobile brands. A total of 140 respondents who had used smartfren mobile phones and then switched brands to other cellphones were used in this study. Data collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. Analysis of this research data using SEM with Lisrel 8.8. The results showed that consumer dissatisfaction did not have a significant effect on brand switching behavior, while the need to seek variation and product quality had a significant effect on brand switching behavior

Along with the proliferation of smartphone manufacturers, the latest innovations and fascinating features are presented, such as selfie cameras, VOOC flash charge (the best fast charging) on their products, providing that selfie cameras accommodate people who love to upload their photos to social media. Nowadays, consumers’ needs have called attention to a lifestyle that requires them to make choices on goods or services that are compatible with their needs. This study employed a survey method, with samples comprising millennials in Kuningan Regency with a total of 283 respondents, in which the data collection was done using questionnaires, validity and reliability tests were conducted. Multiple linear regression was used in data analysis. The results showed that product features, lifestyle, and price had a positive and significant effect simultaneously and partially on brand switching decisions. However, price had a greater influence on consumers’ decisions to switch brands.

The Research aimed to determine factors that influencing the purchase decision of oriflame’s product. This research was take in two variables that affect the decision to purchase the green marketing (X1) and Product Quality (X2). Data collection using non-probability technique and the kind of the purposive sampling spread at les 100 respondents in Purwakarta that are active and ever of Oriflame’s consumer products. The research analyzed through the software SPSS 22. The outcome of this research, in partial such green marketing and the product quality have had a significant positive impact of the purchase decision. The whole dependent variable simultaneously influence of the purchase decision with F value count 55,587 and the economic situation of significant 0,000 < 0.05. R square value showed the results of 0,534 having meaning that whole of dependent variable influential simultaneously as many as 53,4 %.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to advance the understanding of factors that affect offshoring performance results. To do so, this paper focuses on the access to location-specific advantages, rather than solely on the properties of the offshoring company, its strategy or environment. Assuming that different levels of synergy may exist between particular offshoring strategic decisions (choosing offshore outsourcing or captive offshoring and the type of function) and different offshoring advantages, this work advocates that the actual fact of realization of certain offshoring advantages (getting or not getting access to them) is a more reliable predictor of offshoring success. Design/methodology/approach – A set of hypotheses derived from the extant literature is tested on the data from a quantitative survey of 1,143 Scandinavian firms. Findings – The paper demonstrates that different governance modes and types of offshored function indeed provide different levels of access to different types of location-specific offshoring advantages. This difference may help to explain the ambiguity of offshoring initiatives performance results. Research limitations/implications – Limitations of the work include using only the offshoring strategy elements and only their limited variety as factors potentially influencing access to offshoring advantages. Also, the findings are limited to Scandinavian companies. Originality/value – The paper introduces a new concept of access, which can help to more reliably predict performance outcomes of offshoring initiatives. Recommendations are also provided to practitioners dealing with offshoring initiatives.

Abstract Corporations are spending significant resources to reduce the effect of manufacturing variation on product quality as well as adopt lower cost manufacturing and assembly technologies to reduce the end costs in product development. However, to ensure that these investments have a positive return, efforts must be made to put resources into those areas where there will be the largest return. This paper describes a formalized method to make these decisions. The analysis focuses the tradeoff studies on the Key Characteristics (KCs) of the product. KCs, in use in a variety of industries, are the product features that are most sensitive to existing manufacturing and process variation and will affect the end quality of the product. Two examples from the aircraft manufacturing environment are used describe the application of the proposed methods.

Children's concepts about illness causality and bodily functioning change in a predictable way with advancing age. Differences in the understanding of these concepts in healthy children vs children with a chronic illness have not been clearly delineated. This study included 49 children with a seizure disorder, 47 children with an orthopaedic condition, and 96 healthy children, all with normal intelligence and ranging in age from 5 to 16 years. It demonstrates systematic differences in children's general reasoning skills and in their understanding of concepts about illness causality and bodily functioning, as a function of their age and experience of illness. At all ages, children who had a condition with orthopaedic involvement reported less sophisticated general reasoning and concepts about illness than did healthy children; children with a seizure disorder reported similar general reasoning skills to those of healthy children, but considerably less sophisticated concepts about illness. children's concepts about body functioning did not differ as a function of the presence of a chronic illness. When their different levels of general cognitive reasoning were statistically controlled, children with a chronic illness had somewhat more sophisticated concepts about bodily functioning than did healthy children. Differences in conceptual development among children with different types of illnesses lead to interesting speculations with regard to the effects of particular illness characteristics on children's cognitive development.

According to the data-frame theory, sensemaking is a macrocognitive process in which people try to make sense of or explain their observations by processing a number of explanatory structures called frames until the observations and frames become congruent. During the sensemaking process, the parietal cortex has been implicated in various cognitive tasks for the functions related to spatial and temporal information processing, mathematical thinking, and spatial attention. In particular, the parietal cortex plays important roles by extracting multiple representations of magnitudes at the early stages of perceptual analysis. By a series of neural network simulations, we demonstrate that the dissociation of different types of spatial information can start early with a rather similar structure (i.e., sensitivity on a common metric), but accurate representations require specific goal-directed top-down controls due to the interference in selective attention. Our results suggest that the roles of the parietal cortex rely on the hierarchical organization of multiple spatial representations and their interactions. The dissociation and interference between different types of spatial information are essentially the result of the competition at different levels of abstraction.

AbstractGiven the visibility and obvious importance of judicial power in the age of the Charter, it is important to develop the conceptual vocabulary for desribing and assessing this power. One such concept that has been applied to the study of appeal courts in the United States and Great Britain is “party capability”, a theory which suggests that different types of litigant will enjoy different levels of success as both appellant and respondent. Using a data base derived from the reported decisions of the provincial courts of appeal for the second and seventh year of each decade since the 1920s, this article applies party capability theory to the performance of the highest courts of the ten provinces; comparisons are attempted across regions and across time periods, as well as with the findings of similar studies of American and British courts.
