3D data model is an indispensable component to any 3D GIS, and forms the basis of 3D spatial analysis and representation. At present, plenty of representative 3D data models are proposed. However, existing models neglect the display result and the consumption of storage space. Based on the analysis of existing 3D GIS data model, a 3D surface model is proposed for fast visualization in this paper, which is composed of node, segment and triangle. The data structure and formal representation of the proposed 3D surface model is developed to organize and store data of 3D model. Finally, an experiment is made to compare this 3D surface model with other 3D data model, and the result demonstrates that the 3D surface model proposed in this paper is superior to the existing data model in terms of data volume, moreover, it can acquire fast visualization speed.

The collision detection problem is a classical problem in computer graphics research field. It has become a hot topic in recent years with the development of virtual assembly technology. And accurate collision detection is crucial to improve the reliability and authenticity of virtual assembly. In this paper, we designed a collision detection algorithm with a pre-segment strategy based on OBB-Tree algorithm, took advantage of the shape characteristics of component model, used a smaller bounding box for operation. Experimental results showed that the efficiency of the algorithm is about 10% higher than that of traditional OBB-Tree algorithm.

The exploration of oil and gas, especially in Indonesia is experiencing various challenges and varying degrees of difficulty. In this research, the researcher tries to make a 3D modeling from gravity data, where the model will show a structure to determine the central coordinates for drilling. Pertamina has carried out drilling at a location in NTT and it turns out that the well does not produce oil and gas, even though the log data reads an oil showing that the area should have the prospect of producing oil, but the wells that have been drilled do not show any oil or gas, therefore the researchers tried to make a 3D model determine the structure around the production well. In this research, it was seen that the area of the previous drilling point had deviated from the top of the up dome and it was also seen in this structure that the area was deviated by about 3 kilometers and depth must exceed 526 m, the researcher concluded that the drilling point must be at X, Y coordinates.

Abstract The data base requirements for concurrent design systems are discussed. An object-oriented data base, which allows for definition of complex objects, specification of relationships between objects, and modular expandability without affecting the existing information is defined. The data base is developed based on the object-oriented data model implemented in Smalltalk-80. An assumption-based truth maintenance system for maintaining the dependency relationships between design and manufacturing information is described.

The Three-dimensional engineering geology data warehouse is constructed by Power Desinger16.1, with the theme as the rock and mass availability in urban underground space, and with the source data as the borehole data of engineering Investigation. Use the Model-driven Architecture method, reverse engineer the Access data base, extract existed data model, combine research theme to construct the Star data structure model. And check the SQL script in SQL Server2005, to ensure normal operation. 0 Forewords The traditional transaction-oriented designed engineering geology data base has the function to storage original data from work, to draw of geological section and to provide simple check and analysis, but without the decision support function in view of a subject. The purpose of construction a 3D engineering geological data warehouse is to build a decision support system in view of availability of rock and soil mass in urban underground space. Based on the data extraction, data integration, data cleaning and data transformation, the 3D engineering geological data warehouse could achieve the integrated management of massive geological data and to provide reliable data source for the rock and soil mass utilization system in urban underground space. The main feature of 3D engineering geological data base is subject-oriented, integrated, time-varying, relatively stable, and is magnanimous collection of engineering geological spatial data and attribute data. According to the design pattern of traditional data base, the construction of 3D engineering geological data warehouse can be divided into three stages: concept design model, logic design model and physical design model. But the 3D engineering geological data warehouse exist iterative in the construction process. Currently, there are many CASE tools to help developers quickly achieving the data base design, such as Rational Rose by Rational company, Erwin and Bpwin by CA company, Power Designer by Sybase company, Office Visio by Microsoft company, and Oracle Designer by Oracle company. The paper uses the Powerdesigner16.1 to achieve the logical data model (LDM) and physical data model (PDM).

This article describes the restoration of a glass bowl from the 16th-17thcentury by creating its three-dimensional (3D)model. The final purpose is to work with this model in order to avoid damaging situations that are associated with the manipulation of fragile objects. The gap areas, those corresponding to the missing fragments not found in the excavation, were carried out by constructing digital implants. A restricted area of the 3D model has been duplicated in order to accommodate it to confined intervals of the gap. The final implants were printed with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) filament. These implants replace the lost areas and give stability back to the item by recovering the original morphology. The result can be compared with the outcome obtained by a traditional process, but differs due to the fact that requires minimum manipulation of the item, so it can contribute to preserve and safeguard the restored object. This is a non-invasive method which is offered as an alternative treatment, where the archaeological object is replaced by its virtual model in the steps of the process after 3D data acquisition. Significant differences have not been found in the 3D printing results obtained with the two types of filaments tested (white and clear).

This paper introduces a generalized data base concept that unites relational and semi structured data models. As an important theoretical result we could find a quadratic decision algorithm for the implication problem of functional and join dependencies defined on the united data model. As practical contribution we presented a normal form for the new data model as a tool for data base design. With our novel representations of regular expressions, a more effective searching method could be developed. XML elements are described by XML schema languages such as a DTD or an XML Schema definition. The instances of these elements are semi-structured tuples. A semi-structured tuple is an ordered list of (attribute: value) pairs. We may think of a semi-structured tuple as a sentence of a formal language, where the values are the terminal symbols and the attribute names are the non-terminal symbols. In the authors' former work (Szabó and Benczúr, 2015) they introduced the notion of the extended tuple as a sentence from a regular language generated by a grammar where the non-terminal symbols of the grammar are the attribute names of the tuple. Sets of extended tuples are the extended relations. The authors then introduced the dual language, which generates the tuple types allowed to occur in extended relations. They defined functional dependencies (regular FD - RFD) over extended relations. In this paper they rephrase the RFD concept by directly using regular expressions over attribute names to define extended tuples. By the help of a special vertex labeled graph associated to regular expressions the specification of substring selection for the projection operation can be defined. The normalization for regular schemas is more complex than it is in the relational model, because the schema of an extended relation can contain an infinite number of tuple types. However, the authors can define selection, projection and join operations on extended relations too, so a lossless-join decomposition can be performed. They extended their previous model to deal with XML schema indicators too, e.g., with numerical constraints. They added line and set constructors too, in order to extend their model with more general projection and selection operators. This model establishes a query language with table join functionality for collected XML element data.

AbstractWith the upcoming new legislative rules in the EU on Event Data Recorder beginning 2022 the question is whether the discussed data base is sufficient for the needs of clarifying accidents involving automated vehicles. Based on the reconstruction of real accidents including vehicles with ADAS combined with specially designed crash tests a broader data base than US EDR regulation (NHTSA 49 CFR Part 563.7) is proposed. The working group AHEAD, to which the authors contribute, has already elaborated a data model that fits the needs of automated driving. The structure of this data model is shown. Moreover, the special benefits of storing internal video or photo feeds form the vehicle camera systems combined with object data is illustrated. When using a sophisticate 3D measurement method of the accident scene the videos or photos can also serve as a control instance for the stored vehicle data. The AHEAD Data Model enhanced with the storage of the video and photo feeds should be considered in the planned roadmap of the Informal Working Group (IWG) on EDR/ DSSAD (Data Storage System for Automated Driving) reporting to UNECE WP29. Also, a data access over the air using technology already applied in China for electric vehicles called Real Time Monitoring would allow a quantum leap in forensic accident reconstruction.
