The process of treatment of about 500 digitized plates has started in MAO NAS of Ukraine. Plates were taken with the Tautenburg 2m Schmidt telescope in 1963-1989. Linear dimensions of plates are 24x24 cm with a working field of 3.3x3.3 degrees and a scale of 51.4 "/ mm. Astronegatives were digitized on the Tautenburg Plate Scanner in five strips with linear dimensions of 5 400x23 800 px. The software developed in MAO NAS of Ukraine for the image processing of these scans takes into account the horizontal overlap and the vertical offset of strips. The photometric range of fixed objects is 12 magnitudes, around V = 7 m - 19 m , due to the separation of objects into faint and bright parts by their images’ diameters. Positions of stars and other fixed objects are obtained in the GAIA DR2 reference system. Magnitudes are defined in the V-band of the Johnson color system. The resulted positional accuracy defined from 180 plates’ processing is σ RA,DEC = 0.10"for both coordinates, photometric error on the whole range of magnitudes is σ V = 0.14 m . The convergence of resulted magnitudes with ones from photoelectric standards’ data is 0.19 m . In parallel with image processing and plate data reduction, the search for minor planets’ images was carried out. Nine positions and magnitudes of 4 asteroids registered on the plates obtained in 1963-1965 were defined and used for further analysis.

We present new results obtained in frames of the Byurakan Narrow Band Imaging Survey (BNBIS). Observations were carried out with upgraded 1 m Schmidt telescope of Byurakan Observatory. Main task of this survey is to search and to study the new Herbig-Haro objects and collimated outflows using narrow-band Hα and [S ii] images of some fields in dark clouds of Galaxy. And, because, Herbig-Haro objects are the main indicators of active starformation processes to fined regions where going on active starformation processes. Main targets of this survey are R associations, young stellar objects associated with compact reflection nebulae, but here we will mainly focused on deeply embedded infrared sources in molecular clouds. During this survey we plan to significantly expand the list of HH objects by using the high quantum efficiency of the system and the telescopes high focal ratio (F/2), which allows detecting low surface brightness objects as well as large field of view of Schmidt telescope.

ABSTRACT We present the results of a narrow-band Hα and [S ii] imaging survey of the Mon R1 association performed with the 1-m Schmidt telescope at Byurakan Observatory. Our observations covered a 1° field near the centre of the association. As a result of this study, 20 new Herbig–Haro knots were discovered, some of which form collimated outflows. Among the most extended ones are HH 1203 and HH 1196, which have a length of 1 pc or even more. During the search for the probable sources of HH objects, several new nebulous stars were found. A list of all nebulous stellar objects in the Mon R1 area under study is presented, with detailed descriptions of the most interesting ones. The near-infrared data from the GLIMPSE360 and WISE surveys revealed several more objects related to Mon R1, some of which had optical counterparts, as well as helped to identify at least three probable H2 collimated flows from the deeply embedded pre-main-sequence objects. The probable members of Mon R1 were selected by their distances; their bolometric luminosities and extinctions were estimated. Among the outflow sources, three embedded objects with luminosities greater than 10 L⊙ were found. The mean distance to the Mon R1 complex is estimated as 715 pc.

AbstractThis paper is devoted to the discovery of 37 asteroids at the Baldone Astrophysical Observatory (MPC 069) from 2015 to 2018, and one of dynamically interesting Mars-crosser (MC) observed at the Baldone Astrophysical Observatory, namely 2008 LX16. In Baldone Observatory, was independently discovered the Near-Earth Object 2018 GE3 on the image of 13 April 2018. Also, the NEO 2006 VB14 was observed doing its astrometry and photometry. Moreover, we observed asteroids 1986 DA and 2014 LJ1. We computed orbits and analyzed the orbital evolution of these asteroids. 566 positions and photometric observations of NEO objects 345705 (2006 VB14) and 6178 (1986 DA) were obtained with Baldone Schmidt telescope in 2018 and 2019. We detected their rotation period and other physical characteristics. Also, a Fourier transform was applied to determine the rotation period of asteroid 6178 (1986 DA). Value (3.12 ± 0.02)h was obtained. Our observations confirm the previously obtained rotation periodP=3.25hfor2006VB14.

In order to understand how galaxies have formed and evolved in dense environments, and how these environments themselves evolve, we use the method of optical photometric survey of the field around radio galaxies. For this purpose, a statistical significant sample of radio galaxies consisting of 3 size radio source subclasses - GPS, CSS and FRI/II is selected for observations at the 1m Schmidt telescope of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory. This method will allow us not only to detect distant clusters of galaxies, but also watch the sequence of development of these clusters - how changes their compactness, richness, and so on.

AbstractIn March 2017, the Intermediate Palomar Transient Factory (iPTF) ceased operations. This Symposium was an appropriate opportunity to review the scientific returns from iPTF and its predecessor survey, the Palomar Transient Factory (PTF), and to summarise the lessons learned. Succeeding iPTF on the Palomar Observatory 48-inch Schmidt telescope is the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF), a new survey with an order of magnitude faster survey speed that is now being commissioned. I described the design and scientific rationale for ZTF. ZTF is prototyping new alert stream technologies being explored by the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) to distribute millions of transient alerts per night to downstream science users. I described the design of the alert system and discussed it in the context of the wider LSST and community broker ecosystem.
