This research  purpose to analyze affected: 1) service quality to student satisfaction, 2) service quality to student atittudes, 3) moderation of student characteristic at affected service service to student satisfaction, 4) service quality to positive Word of Mouth, 5) student satisfaction to positive Word of Mouth, dan 6) student atittudes to positive Word of Mouth, 7) The mediation of satisfaction and students atittudes on affected of quality service to positive Word of Mouth. The using data was primary data which had by questioner brought to 150 higher students of Economic and Business Islamic Faculty of State Institute for Islamic Studies Purwokerto as respondence. Then, data analized by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The result of research shown that: 1) Service quality had positive affected to student satisfaction, 2) Service quality had positive affected to student atittudes, 3) Student characteristic not moderated in affected service quality to student satisfaction, 4) Service quality had positive affected to positive Word of Mouth, 5) Student satisfaction had positive affected to positive Word of Mouth, and 6) Student atittudes had positive affected to positive Word of Mouth, 7) Satisfaction and students atittudes mediating of quality service affect to positive Word of Mouth.

The aim of this research is to know the identifiation of society learning needs by the manager of LKP Lantern House Bengkulu in determining an english cource program. The method of this research was used qualitative approach with descriptive data. The collection of data was used with three of techniques by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analyse of this research was used by three of ways by reducting data, displaying data, and taking a result and verification. The result of this research have indicated that : (1)  The manager used steps of need assessment by collecting information, identifying for asymmetry, performance analyse, identifying for inhibiton and source, identifying for the student characteristic, identifying for the purpose, and determing the problem. (2) The manager used observation as the thecnique in identifying the society learning needs. (3)  The method used by the manager in identifying the society learning needs were promotion and communication approach. (4) The manager did not used a special model of assessment in identifying the society learning needs. (5) In determining the priority program, the manager used his self assumption by analysing need assessment to english. (6) In process of identifying the society learning needs, the manager found the inhibition factors in the field as well as intern factor ( lack of partners and financial) and extern factor (less of finding location for promotion and observation). (7) The supporting factors in process of identifying the society learning needs were as intern factor (optimist and capable in using IT) and extern factor (partner relation with any organization or community). The recomendation of this research is given to all of the institutions or the manager that before offering the learning or cource program must to identify the society learning needs previoulsy the program is offered suitable of the society needs. Key Words : Need Assessment, English Cource Program, and The Manager of LKP

Business Plan is an important document for entrepreneurs to guide them managing their business. Business Plan also assist the entrepreneur to strategies their business and manage future growth. That is why Malaysian government has foster all Higher Education Provider to set entrepreneurship education as compulsory course. One of the entrepreneurship education learning outcome is the student can write effective business plan. This study focused on enhancing student’s understanding in entrepreneurship through business plan simulation. This study also considers which of the factor that most facilitate the business simulation that help the student to prepare effective business plan. The methodology of this study using quantitative approach with pre-and post-research design. 114 students take part as respondent in the business simulation and answer quantitative survey pre-question and post question. The crucial findings of this study are student characteristic factor after playing the simulation contribute much on facilitate business plan learning. The result has shown that the business plan simulation can enhance undergraduate student in understanding entrepreneurship by preparing effective business plan before opening new startup.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mentetahui karakteristik SMA dan SMK di Medan. Karakteristik yang diteliti adalah: neuroticism, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani. Dengan penelitian ini kita mendapatkan data perbedaan karakter di SMA dan SMK siswa. Mendapatkan perbedaan karakter antara pria dan wanita dalam setiap kelompok sekolah. Penelitian ini di SMA dan SMK di Medan, 2008. Sampel penelitian 600 siswa. Metode Penelitian kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Kuesioner dicoba dengan nilai koefisien reliabilitas (r=0,875). Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Karakteristik siswa SMA (Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani) sudah cukup dan kategori tinggi, (2) Karakteristik siswa SMK (Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan hati nurani) cukup tinggi dan kategori; (3) Para siswa perempuan SMA lebih tinggi hati nurani daripada siswa laki-laki; (4) Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, dan keramahan antara siswa laki-laki secara signifikan tidak berbeda dengan siswa perempuan di SMA; (5) Neuroticsm, extraversion, keterbukaan, keramahan, dan conscientiousness antara mahasiswa laki-laki secara signifikan tidak berbeda dengan siswa perempuan di SMK.   Kata kunci : karakteristik siswa, SMA, SMK.   Abstract: This research was aimed to: investigate the Senior High School Studen’t Characteristic in Medan. The characteristic which investigated are: neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. By this research we can get the accurate data that describe the differences of characters in SMA and SMK students. And then we can get the differences of characters among the male and female in each group of school. This research was taking place in SMA and SMK in Medan, 2008. The sample of this research is 600 pupils. The research was taken in the quantitative method. The data that we have got from the questioner. Questioner has been tried with the value of reliability coefficient (r=0,875). The results of the research are: (1) The SMA Studen’t Characteristic in Medan (Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) is enough and high categories; (2) The SMK Student Characteristic in Medan (Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness) is enough and high categories; (3) The female SMA students are more conscientiousness than male students; (4) Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, and agreeableness between male students significantly is not different with female students in SMA; (5) Neuroticsm, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness between male students significantly is not different with female students in SMK.
