This study aims to describe: 1) The role of the principal in implementing education quality management at SMP Negeri 2 Arungkeke, Jeneponto Regency, 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors for the principal in implementing education quality management at SMP Negeri 2 Arungkeke, Jeneponto Regency. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Qualitative research is a research approach that uncovers certain social situations by properly describing reality, formed by words based on relevant data collection and analysis techniques obtained from natural situations. Sources of data in this study, namely data that shows the quality or quality of something that exists, in the form of circumstances, processes, events or events and others expressed in the form of words. The informants in the study were the principal, social studies teacher for class IX, and social studies teacher for class VII/VIII, English teacher and staff of SMP Negeri 2 Arungkeke. The technique of determining the informant was carried out purposively, namely based on the capacity that provided convenience and willingness in the interview. The results of this study indicate that 1) the leadership role of the principal in implementing education quality management in SMP Negeri 2 Arungkeke, namely: (a) the principal must have the right strategy and (b) apply leadership management. 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors for school principals in implementing education quality management at SMP Negeri 2 Arungkeke, namely: supporting factors (a) mutual cooperation and kinship (b) providing opportunities for teachers in professional application training activities (c) facilitating all school activities, factors inhibiting (a) lack of motivation and enthusiasm of the principal (b) lack of leadership ability of the principal (c) lack of facilities and infrastructure and (d) low mental attitude.

This study aims to determine the description of the role of the principal as a supervisor in improving the performance of Guidance and Counseling Teachers at SMA Negeri 10 Banjarmasin City. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design. The method used in this study in collecting data is to use interview and documentation techniques, which will then be analyzed and seen for the validity of the data using data triangulation techniques. The results obtained based on data collected through interviews and documentation found that the Principal of SMA Negeri 10 Banjarmasin has carried out his roles and functions as well as duties and responsibilities as school supervisors by carrying out planned and scheduled supervision of guidance and counseling teachers in improving their performance. In addition, based on the data collected through interviews and documentation, it is known that the supervision technique used by the Principal of SMA Negeri 10 Banjarmasin is an individual technique using 3 supervision activities, namely, class visits, class observations and individual interviews.

In an institution or school, every teacher or teacher has a very important role in determining success in education. Therefore, teachers at least have pedagogic competence, professional competence, social competence and pedagogic competence. Given the importance of the role of the principal teacher as well as helping in solving problems or obstacles experienced by teachers, principals can also carry out supervision so that they know how the results of each teacher's assessment are. Supervision is a coaching activity planned to assist teachers and other school staff in carrying out their work effectively. Not only supervision, but the professional competence of teachers is no less important in helping teachers or in improving teacher performance. Professional competence itself means the ability to master the learning material broadly and deeply. In every institution certainly wants the best for the progress of the institution, principals and teachers must also have made efforts to improve performance. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the supervision of the principal and the professional competence of teachers, because both are very influential in improving teacher performance.

Every activity of the school organization must be supervised by the principal. This is important because without supervision, all school program activities will not be successful. In this case, if there are deviations, it cannot be detected early and in detail. The role of the principal in this case is very important, in other words that success in carrying out supervision is largely determined by the skills of the supervisor. Supervision comes from the words super and vision which means to see and review from above or view and judge from above what is done by superiors on activities, creativity, and bottom performance.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the principal in improving the quality of education at the Laboratory Elementary School of Unimuda Sorong. The methodology used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The study found that the role of the principal in improving the quality of education at the Laboratory Elementary School of Unimuda Sorong consisted of three stages: input, processing, and output. The input stage includes 1) Free of costs: providing free education for Papuan children and 2) Mapping: prioritizing Papuan children and transmigrants’ communities around the "Warmon Kokoda" village. The processing stage includes enlarging the classrooms, providing laboratories, creating a comfortable library for elementary school-aged children, evaluating al-Qur'an teachers, and daily controlling the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Finally, at the output stage, all of the students of the past few years graduated with stable and static grades. The leadership style carried out by the principal was democratic in all respects by taking a social-persuasive approach when problems occur between teachers and parents and the surrounding community.

The Covid-19 pandemic requires people to learn online, one of which is at the elementary school level. Principals must be able to play a role as managers in managing learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to analyze the role of the principal as a manager and the pedagogical competence of teachers in online learning during the Covid-19 period. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research, namely by interpreting the data obtained from the field. Data collection was carried out on 4 principals and 49 teachers using a questionnaire distributed via google forms. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative with percentages. The results showed that the principal's role as a manager in online learning was not optimal in the indicators of the school determining the curriculum used in online learning (44%) and the principal facilitating support for online learning (50%). At the same time, the pedagogic competence also showed less than optimal in Playing their competencies is shown by the 5 lowest percentage indicators, including understanding the cognitive development of students (59%), designing learning methods (52%), designing learning models (56%), carrying out assessments of learning outcomes (54.5%), and conducting material assessments. (56%). With a strong commitment from teachers and principals, various efforts and programs carried out during online learning will optimally achieve learning objectives.

Adequate facilities and infrastructure are not yet ready so that learning cannot run smoothly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the process of learning English. This research is qualitative, descriptive research that tends to use analysis and emphasizes process and meaning more. The approach used in this study is phenomenological. Data collection methods used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, and observation. The instrument used to analyze the data is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study are that four critical factors support the smooth running of the English learning process: the principal, parents of students, students, and educators. The role of the principal, especially the support of the principal in the form of providing facilities and infrastructure, is an essential factor because, without this learning, it will not be able to run smoothly. The role of parents is also essential because their assistance to students will be able to provide a learning atmosphere. Student motivation is also an essential key to the success of learning English. This research with the results wants to show that various parties pay attention to four main factors for the smooth teaching and learning activities process.

This research is a type of field research with a qualitative descriptive approach with the title Role of the Principal in Improving PAI Learning during the Corona Pandemic at RA Taam Adinda Kepatihan Menganti Gresik. This study aims to determine the role and strategy of school principals in improving PAI learning during the corona pandemic at RA TAAM Adinda Kepatihan Gresik. The subjects in this study were educators, students, parents, and related parties. The data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results of the findings of this study can be concluded that the role of the RA Taam Adinda principal in improving Islamic Education learning during the corona pandemic in Kepatihan Menganti Gresik village was as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator that had been implemented properly and by defined goals and plans. The strategies used by the school principal in improving PAI learning during the corona pandemic at RA Taam Adinda Kepatihan Menganti Gresik were improving teaching skills for teachers, optimizing the use of media and educational facilities, carrying out regular supervision, and establishing good cooperation with the community

This study aims to describe the role of the principal in the implementation of academic supervision, the results and obstacles of academic supervision in improving the professionalism of teachers of SMP Negeri in MuaraTelang, Banyuasin District. This research uses qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The location of this research is SMP Negeri in MuaraTelangBanyuasin District. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the findings is done by observing persistence, triangulation and reference adequacy. The results of this study explain the positive and significant role of principal academic supervision in improving the professionalism of teachers of SMP Negeri in MuaraTelang District, Banyuasin. Through discussion of the implementation of academic supervision, the results of academic supervision, and the inhibiting factors for academic supervision of school principals. The results of the supervision carried out by the principal of the State Junior High School in MuaraTelangBanyuasin District were able to improve teacher professionalism in pedagogic competence, personality competence, professional competence and social competence.
