<em>Leadership is an important part in all areas of life to achieve goals. The reality is that there is often a crisis of public trust in leaders. With the discovery of many cases that seem inappropriate and ethical by leaders and the rise of current leadership practices that adopt leadership models from outside. Meanwhile, the leader who is expected from the perspective of the millennial generation is to have the ability, intellectuality, integrity, honesty and vision that is far ahead in line with the progress of the times and is able to apply the values of local wisdom. Efforts to overcome leadership problems in the millennial era require directed and concrete actions. One of them is by exploring the philosophy of Javanese leadership based on local wisdom. the current leader had jumped too far from his essence footing. Asta Brata is symbolized by eight natural characters or can be interpreted as eight conditions that must be held by a leader. Mastery of these eight characteristics is the most ideal and appropriate leadership trait to be applied. The purpose is to find out the relevance of Asta Bratha's teachings in the millennial era. This type of research is library research. The data collection method used is the documentation method. Conclusion of the concept of leadership based on the philosophy of Asta Bratha Presenting ideal leadership for millennials</em>

This study aimed to examine the impact of transformational leadership practices of educational supervisors on the sustainable professional development of mathematics teachers in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was adopted. The study’s sample were 261 mathematics teachers. The researchers used the supervisors' practice of transformational leadership scale, and the researcher's sustainable professional development scale. The validity of the content of the two scales was measured through the validity of the terms and sampling validity. The reliability of internal consistency was also measured by the Alpha Cronbach. To ensure the factorial structure of the two scales, the researchers conducted a confirmatory factor analysis of the assumed model for each scale, and for the hypothetical model, and the results showed obtaining two models that match the current study data to large extent. The researchers used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), where the results showed a positive and significant impact of transformational leadership practices for educational supervisors on the sustainable professional development of mathematics teachers in planning, curriculum, evaluation, professional development, and teaching methods.   Received: 13 September 2021 / Accepted: 24 November 2021 / Published: 3 January 2022

Ratan Tata is an Indian industrialist and philanthropist. He is a visionary leader and managing change is second nature to him. His leadership exudes confidence in others and has inspired many to become leaders in his own company, and through his service-oriented nature, influenced several others outside of his organizational space. Tata's leadership commands respect throughout the world, which is highlighted by the numerous prestigious awards bestowed upon him. This chapter aims to present and explain his leadership practices through case scenarios. These lessons on leadership are transferable and may guide future leaders of tomorrow to lead our world with wisdom, dignity, humility, and authenticity.

Background: Self-leadership has emerged as a leadership style that could be used to achieve successful performance for individuals and organisations, including higher education institutions. It is, however, not known how nurse educators perceive their self-leadership practices. Objective: To describe the self-leadership practices of nurse educators at nursing education institutions. Methods: This article reports the quantitative phase of a broader exploratory, descriptive, sequential mixed-method design study conducted with conveniently selected nurse educators (n=265) in two provinces in South Africa. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: Constructs found to be valid for self-leadership practices were autonomy-supportive environment, continuing professional development, role modelling, and shared leadership. Respondents perceived themselves to be engaged in self-leadership practices. The Cronbach alpha coefficient indicated the internal consistency of the constructs. Conclusion: Educational institutions should create environments that support autonomy and role modelling to facilitate the engagement of nurse educators in self-leadership practices.

For more than thirty years, instructional leadership has been considered an effective school leadership model for improving student achievement. This study aimed to investigate the instructional leadership practices of Indonesian school principals and the obstacles that they face. In this study, the data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three principals of public elementary schools located in Bandung. An audit trail and member checks were applied to ensure the quality of the collected data. The results showed that the three principals shared the instructional leadership role, particularly in performing supervision responsibilities. Despite this practice, the principals found it difficult to perform instructional leadership due to time contraints. Also, they lacked support from student parents, which made it difficult to improve student achievement. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that the instructional leadership of principals should involve parents more in student learning. How does leadership emerge and function when multiple health care organizations come together to form a network? In this qualitative comparative case study, we draw on distributed leadership theory to examine the leadership practices that manifested during the implementation of three coordinated care networks. Thirty leaders and care providers participated in semistructured interviews. Interview data were inductively analyzed using thematic analysis. Although established in response to the same policy initiative, each case differed in its leadership approach and implementation strategy. We found that manifestation of distributed leadership was contingent on the presence of an individual leader who acted as a unifying force across their respective network. Our findings suggest that policies to encourage the development of interorganizational networks should include sufficient resources to support an individual leader who enables distributed leadership.
