The study of the product range of the enterprise, in particular, the agricultural ones, is one of the priority areas. Maintaining a stable demand for reduced goods is an obligatory condition for strategizing activities, a guarantee of development. The presented research reflects the theoretical foundations of enterprise management, in terms of building a strategy; the assortment features for both commodity and trade ones are disclosed; the authors highlighted the specifics of agricultural production through strategic management and its goal setting. In the main part of the work, there is a block focused on the study of the assortment within the framework of the agricultural enterprise management, based on the product range optimization. This is supported by the conclusions that this approach is a source of diversification of an agricultural enterprise production activity and takes into account both the existing market needs and the capabilities of the enterprise itself when creating the necessary conditions for its development, ensuring competitiveness not only in local markets, but also includes a possibility to expand its market zone. The assortment of goods was studied in a separate block on the example of a specific agricultural enterprise - the greenhouse complex JSC “Sukhovskiy”, a member of the Siberian agricultural complex of the brand “Em Rodnoe”. The assessment of the main economic indicators of the activities of JSC “Sukhovskiy” was carried out. For the purpose of practical testing of the developed directions of strategizing the product range of JSC “Sukhovskiy”, there was proposed a variant of its expansion by introducing roses into the “line” of production as the most popular and demanded flowers in high demand among the population. In addition, the agrotechnology of this production in the conditions of a greenhouse economy is shown, possible sales channels for finished products are proposed, the costs of the “rose” assortment line are structured and the predicted economic effect from the implementation of the proposed measures is calculated.

The work examines modern methodological approaches to assessing the quality of life using environmental indicators. Analysis of the existing methods in Ukraine for determining the environmental component when measuring the quality of life showed the need to develop a new method for a comprehensive assessment of the state of the environment. This is due to the fact that the existing methodology for assessing the quality of life does not take into account the ecological component as a separate block of indicators, and also contains some inaccuracies in the formulas for calculating the final indicator. In this regard, a new method is proposed for determining the ecological component in the general system for assessing the quality of life of the population, which is the scientific novelty of the work. Based on the analysis of monitoring data on the quality of air, surface waters and soils of Ukraine, statistical reporting on environmental indicators of the development of regions of Ukraine, intermediate indicator indicators are calculated, and then the final complex indicator of the state of the environment is determined. Calculation formulas and assessment scales in points of the state of environmental components are proposed. The proposed method is based on the processing of data from official state statistics and environmental monitoring, which determines the reliability of the initial data. The proposed technique can easily be used as an algorithm for computerized calculations of the indicator of a comprehensive assessment of the state of the environment. The calculation of the indicator of the ecological state was made on the basis of current statistical data, which showed the need for immediate environmental protection measures in the industrially developed regions of Ukraine: Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Lugansk regions.

Annotation. The aim of the study is to analyze the influence of mother's reaction during psycho-emotional outbursts in children aged 15-18 on the development of adolescent aggression. The participants of the study were asked to answer the questions in the questionnaire called “The Questionnaire of Mothers of Teenagers Aged 15-18” which included a separate block of questions namely “What do you do when your child has outbursts of irritability or temper tantrums, when he/she gets extremely angry? Subsequently, the participants’ substantive responses were selected and analyzed. The study covered 864 adolescents aged 15-18 (425 people – a group of aggressive adolescents, 439 respondents – a group of non-aggressive teenagers). The analysis considered the difference in distribution between aggressive and non-aggressive groups when exposed to certain factors. Information base – international program ELSPAC – Ukrainian fragment “Family and Children of Ukraine”. Statistical processing of information – Microsoft Office 2003, 2010, “IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0”, “Microsoft Office Excel 2010”. The difference was determined at p<0.05. The analysis of the methods for raising a child used in an attempt to “quench” emotional outbursts in adolescents showed that among the studied methods of calming down a child were identified those methods that had a positive effect on his psycho-emotional state i.e. allowing him/her to cry (42.9% in the aggressive group and 57.1% in the non-aggressive group); neutral methods, for example, comforting with talking (63.6% and 36.4% by groups, respectively), and methods that had a negative impact i.e. forcing a child to go away (83.3% and 16.7%, respectively); getting into a war of words, shouting at him (71.8% and 28.2%, respectively); leaving a child with someone (65.6% and 34.4%, respectively), threatening a child (75.0% and 25.0%, respectively) or beating him/her (81.4% and 18.6%, respectively). Thus, the study found that the interviewed mothers rarely used parenting methods that have a positive effect, and vice versa, they used approaches that did not have a calming effect, which negatively influenced the psycho-emotional state of adolescents.

The article summarizes the experience of teaching natural science disciplines for various areas of training of students in pre-university educational institutions. The purpose of the disciplines “Chemistry”, “Physics” and “Biology” is to form a holistic natural science worldview among students, which determines both the scope of tasks and the list of general cultural and general professional competencies being formed. The study revealed that in lyceums that implement continuing education in the “college-university” and “lyceum–university” systems, it is advisable to study general subjects of the natural science cycle at two levels: basic and advanced degrees. The study showed that in the course of general education natural science disciplines, it is advisable to allocate professionally significant information in a separate block (module).

A wide range of data types can be used to delimit species and various computer-based tools dedicated to this task are now available. Although these formalized approaches have significantly contributed to increase the objectivity of SD under different assumptions, they are not routinely used by alpha-taxonomists. One obvious shortcoming is the lack of interoperability among the various independently developed SD programs. Given the frequent incongruences between species partitions inferred by different SD approaches, researchers applying these methods often seek to compare these alternative species partitions to evaluate the robustness of the species boundaries. This procedure is excessively time consuming at present, and the lack of a standard format for species partitions is a major obstacle. Here we propose a standardized format, SPART, to enable compatibility between different SD tools exporting or importing partitions. This format reports the partitions and describes, for each of them, the assignment of individuals to the inferred species. The syntax also allows to optionally report support values, as well as original trees and the full command lines used in the respective SD analyses. Two variants of this format are proposed, overall using the same terminology but presenting the data either optimized for human readability (matricial SPART) or in a format in which each partition forms a separate block (SPART.XML). ABGD, DELINEATE, GMYC, PTP and TR2 have already been adapted to output SPART files and a new version of LIMES has been developed to import, export, merge and split them.

Big cats are often on display in zoos around the world. The study of their time budget is the basis of ethological research in captivity. The paper considers the features of the behavior of the subfamily Pantherinae, the daily activity of animals in the summer, methods of keeping, the exposition of enclosures, and relationships with keepers. The studies were conducted in the summer of 2012 and 2013 at the Barnaul Zoo. The total observation time for the animals was 120 hours. The behavior of the African lion (Panthera leo leo – male), the Ussuri tiger (Panthera tigris altaica – female), and the Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis – male) has been studied. In the course of the work, the compilation of ethograms, continuous recording, and free observations were used. The clustering method was applied to analyze the patterns of behavior of animals in captivity. Cluster analysis breaks down the behavior of captivities animals into two large blocks. Locomotion in animals should be considered as a separate block. The animal’s growth and development period require a high proportion of physical activity, which is noticeable when observing the Amur tiger. Locomotion occupied 32.8% of the total time budget of this animal. Large cats have never been in a shelter (in wooden structures of the appropriate size). They used the roof of the houses only as a place for rest and observation. The proportion of marking, hunting, eating, exploratory behavior, grooming, and such forms of behavior as freezing, static position, orienting reaction did not differ significantly. Play behavior with elements of hunting and manipulative activity took 5.5% of the Amur tiger’s time budget for the period under review. We associate this primarily with the age of the given animal. Play behavior was observed two times less often in the Far Eastern leopard (2.9%) and African lion (2.6%)..

A significant proportion of students of educational institutions of the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs (the RF Interior Ministry) are students of the correspondence courses. Moreover, there is practically no relevant sociological understanding in the literature of the conditions to implement the educational process with their participation. In this regard, the authors set a goal - based on studying the public opinion of students and teaching staff, to conduct a sociological analysis of the conditions of the educational process implemented in the educational organization of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in correspondence form. The students and teachers of the Far-Eastern Law Institute of the RF Interior Ministry were the subjects of the research. A combination of quantitative and qualitative (focus group interviews) sociological surveys used in the paper ensured the results’ reliability. The authors conclude that the main cause for entering an educational organization of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is an opportunity to obtain a legal education. The interviewed students consider the practical, law enforcement orientation of the education received and the discipline and strictness of the educational process implementation as the main substantive advantages of education at the Institute. The respondents see the difficulties of the educational process, first of all, in the insufficient amount of time for the examination period, i.e., face-to-face interaction with lecturers. In a separate block, the authors describe the state and the prospects of extramural education using distance learning technologies: the paper shows the dualism of perception of such technologies by the teaching staff and students, determines the relations between the training level of the respondents and the assessments of these prospects and reveals the altruistic moods of lecturers regarding the possible full transfer of distance education on the remote form.

The article examines the analysis of the institution of social control in the Russian Federation and its subjectivity. The relevance of the study is due to the conceptual diversity and lack of scientific consensus regarding the concept of “social control”. Also, this consensus is absent regarding other related concepts, which include “public control”, “civil control”, “people’s control” and others. To solve this problem, a group of domestic sources that define these concepts are analyzed. It also analyzes the legal acts regulating social control in Russia. The role of the Public Chamber and the analysis of current scientific approaches to its consideration are considered in a separate block. In conclusion, it is concluded that there is a fundamental contradiction between expert assessments and the current legislative framework. This leads to the fact that civil initiatives in the field of social control can only be implemented in the forms proposed by the state.

The academic paper substantiates a number of recommendations for improving the conceptual foundations of building a system for managing the competitiveness of products at food industry enterprises. Setting of objectives for the implementation of this process should be determined exclusively for each individual product name, taking into account the stage of its life cycle, external and internal conditions for the enterprise operation, and the chosen corporate strategy. As a part of the product competitiveness management system, it is proposed to form three subsystems: quality management, cost management, and product marketing support management. Structuring the quality management system, according to the main groups of single indicators, is of practical interest. Taking into account the specifics of the products of the food industry, it is proposed to structure the specified system, according to three groups of indicators characterizing the microbiological, physicochemical, and organoleptic properties of the products. In each of these blocks, the following actions should be carried out: establishment of a range of permissible values for each indicator; control of compliance with the latter; staff motivation. Within the cost management subsystem, it is advisable to single out a separate block dedicated to the optimization of direct material costs in order to ensure the optimal price-quality ratio by the criterion of maximizing profits from product sales. One of the main reasons hindering the application of the process approach in managing the competitiveness of products is the lack of formalization and systematization of methods for its implementation. In this regard, the author's solution to this problem is proposed in the context of the implementation of the function of planning the competitiveness of products. In particular, the expediency of using the author's algorithm for the formation of an optimal program for increasing the competitiveness of products has been substantiated. An effective mechanism for motivating the participation of personnel of food industry enterprises in activities aimed at increasing the competitiveness of products has been proposed.
