With the rapid development of neural networks, much attention has been focused on network embedding for complex network data, which aims to learn low-dimensional embedding of nodes in the network and how to effectively apply learned network representations to various graph-based analytical tasks. Two typical models exist namely the shallow random walk network representation method and deep learning models such as graph convolution networks (GCNs). The former one can be used to capture the linear structure of the network using depth-first search (DFS) and width-first search (BFS), whereas Hierarchical GCN (HGCN) is an unsupervised graph embedding that can be used to describe the global nonlinear structure of the network via aggregating node information. However, the two existing kinds of models cannot simultaneously capture the nonlinear and linear structure information of nodes. Thus, the nodal characteristics of nonlinear and linear structures are explored in this paper, and an unsupervised representation method based on HGCN that joins learning of shallow and deep models is proposed. Experiments on node classification and dimension reduction visualization are carried out on citation, language, and traffic networks. The results show that, compared with the existing shallow network representation model and deep network model, the proposed model achieves better performances in terms of micro-F1, macro-F1 and accuracy scores.

Acoustic microimaging (AMI), a technology for high-resolution imaging of materials using a scanning acoustic microscope, has been widely used for non-destructive testing and evaluation of electronic packages. Recently, the internal features and defects of electronic packages have reached the resolution limits of conventional time domain or frequency domain AMI methods with the miniaturization of electronic packages. Various time-frequency domain AMI methods have been developed to achieve super-resolution. In this paper, the sparse representation of AMI signals is studied, and a constraint dictionary-based sparse representation (CD-SR) method is proposed. First, the time-frequency parameters of the atom dictionary are constrained according to the AMI signal to constitute a constraint dictionary. Then, the AMI signal is sparsely decomposed using the matching pursuit algorithm, and echoes selection and echoes reconstruction are performed. The performance of CD-SR was quantitatively evaluated by simulated and experimental ultrasonic A-scan signals. The results demonstrated that CD-SR has superior longitudinal resolution and robustness.

In the past, most of the entity prediction methods based on embedding lacked the training of local core relationships, resulting in a deficiency in the end-to-end training. Aiming at this problem, we propose an end-to-end knowledge graph embedding representation method. It involves local graph convolution and global cross learning in this paper, which is called the TransC graph convolutional network (TransC-GCN). Firstly, multiple local semantic spaces are divided according to the largest neighbor. Secondly, a translation model is used to map the local entities and relationships into a cross vector, which serves as the input of GCN. Thirdly, through training and learning of local semantic relations, the best entities and strongest relations are found. The optimal entity relation combination ranking is obtained by evaluating the posterior loss function based on the mutual information entropy. Experiments show that this paper can obtain local entity feature information more accurately through the convolution operation of the lightweight convolutional neural network. Also, the maximum pooling operation helps to grasp the strong signal on the local feature, thereby avoiding the globally redundant feature. Compared with the mainstream triad prediction baseline model, the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the computational complexity while achieving strong robustness. It also increases the inference accuracy of entities and relations by 8.1% and 4.4%, respectively. In short, this new method can not only effectively extract the local nodes and relationship features of the knowledge graph but also satisfy the requirements of multilayer penetration and relationship derivation of a knowledge graph.

In this paper, the graphic representation method is used to study the multiple characteristics of heart sounds from a resting state to a state of motion based on single- and four-channel heart-sound signals. Based on the concept of integration, we explore the representation method of heart sound and blood pressure during motion. To develop a single- and four-channel heart-sound collector, we propose new concepts such as a sound-direction vector of heart sound, a motion–response curve of heart sound, the difference value, and a state-change-trend diagram. Based on the acoustic principle, the reasons for the differences between multiple-channel heart-sound signals are analyzed. Through a comparative analysis of four-channel motion and resting-heart sounds, from a resting state to a state of motion, the maximum and minimum similarity distances in the corresponding state-change-trend graphs were found to be 0.0038 and 0.0006, respectively. In addition, we provide several characteristic parameters that are both sensitive (such as heart sound amplitude, blood pressure, systolic duration, and diastolic duration) and insensitive (such as sound-direction vector, state-change-trend diagram, and difference value) to motion, thus providing a new technique for the diverse analysis of heart sounds in motion.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the ability of a multimodality MRI-based radiomics model in predicting the aggressiveness of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).Methods: This study included consecutive patients who underwent neck magnetic resonance (MR) scans and subsequent thyroidectomy during the study period. The pathological diagnosis of thyroidectomy specimens was the gold standard to determine the aggressiveness. Thyroid nodules were manually segmented on three modal MR images, and then radiomics features were extracted. A machine learning model was established to evaluate the prediction of PTC aggressiveness. Results: The study cohort included 107 patients with PTC confirmed by pathology (training cohort: n = 71; test cohort: n = 36). A total of 1584 features were extracted from contrast-enhanced T1-weighted (CE-T1 WI), T2-weighted (T2 WI) and diffusion weighted (DWI) images of each patient. Sparse representation method is used for radiation feature selection and classification model establishment. The accuracy of the independent test set that using only one mode, like CE-T1WI, T2WI or DWI was not particularly satisfactory. In contrast, the result of these three modes combined achieved 0.917.Conclusion: Our study shows that multimodality MR image based on radiomics model can accurately distinguish aggressiveness in PTC from non-aggressiveness PTC before operation. This method may be helpful to inform the treatment strategy and prognosis of patients with aggressiveness PTC.

Image representation is an active area of research with increasing applications in military and defense. Image representation aims at representing an image with lesser number of coefficients than the actual image, without affecting the image quality. It is the first step in image compression. Once the image is represented by using some set of coefficients, it is further encoded using various compression algorithms. This paper proposes an adaptive method for image representation, which uses Complex Wavelet transform and the concept of phase congruency, where the number of coefficients used for image representation depends on the information content in the input image. The efficiency of the proposed method has been assessed by comparing the number of coefficients used to represent the image using the proposed method with that used when Complex Wavelet transform is used for image representation. The resultant image quality is determined by computing the PSNR values and Normalized Cross Correlation. Experiments carried out show highly promising results, in terms of the reduction in the number of coefficients used for image representation and the quality of the resultant image.

Recent studies have highlighted that insider threats are more destructive than external network threats. Despite many research studies on this, the spatial heterogeneity and sample imbalance of input features still limit the effectiveness of existing machine learning-based detection methods. To solve this problem, we proposed a supervised insider threat detection method based on ensemble learning and self-supervised learning. Moreover, we propose an entity representation method based on TF-IDF to improve the detection effect. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively detect malicious sessions in CERT4.2 and CERT6.2 datasets, where the AUCs are 99.2% and 95.3% in the best case.
