The present work aims to study the relationship between measures, obtained from Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) and a variant known as SPAN, and activation and identifiability states (Informative States) of referents in noun phrases present in journalistic notes from Northwestern Mexican news outlets written in Spanish. The aim and challenge is to find a strategy to achieve labelling of new / given information in the discourse rooted in a theoretically linguistic stance. The new / given distinction can be defined from different perspectives in which it varies what linguistic forms are taken into account. Thus, the focus in this work is to work with full referential devices (n = 2 388). Pearson’s R correlation tests, analysis of variance, graphical exploration of the clustering of labels, and a classification experiment with random forests are performed. For the experiment, two groups were used: noun phrases labeled with all 10 tags of informative states and a binary labelling, as well as the use of two bags-of-words for each noun phrase: the interior and the exterior. It was found that using LSA in conjunction with the inner bag of words can be used to classify certain informational states. This same measure showed good results for the binary division, detecting which sentences introduce new referents in discourse. In previous work using a similar method in noun phrases in English, 80% accuracy (n = 478) was reached in their classification exercise. Our best test for Spanish reached 79%. No work on Spanish using this method has been done before and this kind of experiment is important because Spanish exhibits a more complex inflectional morphology.

The background of this research is the impact of covid-19, especially in the education sector, in this case education experiences a learning cycle that changes from the offline method (outside the network) or learning carried out in the classroom to an online method (in a network) or distance learning. far. Distance learning is an alternative that educational institutions need to do to keep the learning process going during the Covid-19 outbreak. One of the media that can be used in the distance learning process is the Google Classroom application. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) How is Distance Learning (PJJ) using the Google Classroom application on PAI subjects at SMPN 1 Palimanan?, (2) How is the effectiveness of learning for PAI subject students during the covid-19 pandemic at SMPN 1 Palimanan?, (3) How much influence does the application of Distance Learning (PJJ) in PAI subjects using the Google Classroom application have on the effectiveness of learning for students at SMPN 1 Palimanan?. To obtain the results of this study, researchers used quantitative research methods. The data collection techniques used in this study are: Questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by performing variable tests and correlation tests. Based on the problems above and after being analyzed, it can be concluded that: (1) In Distance Learning with the Google Classroom Application on PAI Subjects During the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMPN 1 Palimanan, it is included in the good category. Due to the recapitulation of the results of the questionnaire calculation, the results obtained are 85.5%. (2) The effectiveness of student learning at SMPN 1 Palimanan is in the good category because based on the recapitulation of the results of the questionnaire on the effectiveness of learning, the results are 79.7% which indicates a good category. (3) There is a significant and positive relationship between distance learning and the google classroom application on the effectiveness of student learning, because r is positive. This is evidenced by the correlation calculation using the product moment correlation hypothesis test and the correlation coefficient r value is 0.650 which indicates a significant correlation.

There is no apical morphological data being available for mandibular first or second premolars in the Turkish population. The aims of the study were (I) to assess apical morphological data of mandibular first and second premolars in a Turkish population at a young-adult age range (II) to analyze potential correlations between the size and position of the apical foramina (AF). Extracted sound teeth were collected from an adult volunteer population as willing to donate. Morphological data were obtained from specimens using a stereomicroscope. The number, size, shape, and position of AF and frequency of accessory foramina were quantified. Mann-Whitney U and Spearman's rank correlation tests were performed (α=0.05). A total of 237 teeth were investigated. The majority of the specimens had one major AF. The frequency of major AF was between 1–3 for both groups. The median AF size in mandibular first and second premolars were 55,180 µm2 and 67,483 µm2, respectively. The majority of foramina shape was irregular for the mandibular first premolars whereas, was oval for the second premolars. The median location of AF with respect to the anatomic apex was 664 µm in mandibular first premolars and 677 µm in mandibular second premolars. The size and location of AF mostly overlap between the mandibular first and second premolars. The shape of the AF might be the only relevant variation concerning the apical morphology between the mandibular first and second premolars in young adults. The interaction between the size and location of AF in mandibular premolars of young adults seems not significant

Recent studies have demonstrated the presence of brain alterations in patients with migraine. Functional and vascular changes in the brain are related to the presence and severity of cutaneous allodynia. However, the association between brain structural changes and cutaneous allodynia has not been yet investigated in patients with migraine. Thus, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the severity of cutaneous allodynia, migraine features, and the thickness and volume of the somatosensory cortex. Forty-five patients with migraine, with and without aura and chronic migraine, were included. Volunteers filled out the Allodynia Symptom Questionnaire (ASC-12/Brazil) and were evaluated via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The images were inspected by a blinded neuroradiologist and analyzed with Freesurfer software. Correlation tests and a linear regression model were used to evaluate the relationship among the outcomes. The somatosensory cortex thickness and volume were not different among migraine subgroups (p > 0.05). There was no significant correlation between the somatosensory thickness and volume with the ASC-12/Brazil, migraine frequency, intensity, migraine onset or aura frequency. The ASC-12/Brazil score variability cannot be predicted by the somatosensory cortex thickness or volume. The results show that the somatosensory cortex morphology is neither associated with cutaneous allodynia nor with migraine features among migraineurs.

The study motivated the tendency of students to drop out of classes where they often had to leave as Indonesia awaits transmission of the Covid19 virus. This study was to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical fitness of  SMA Negeri 1 Guntur students. Researchers used a quantitative approach. All participants in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Guntur. The sampling technique in this study used three grades of random sampling technique including Grade X, XI, and XII from SMA Negeri 1 Guntur. To examine the results, the researchers used two Likert questionnaires as data collection tools: the fitness questionnaire and the athletic questionnaire during the pandemic. The analysis of the data used is Karl Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Method, which seeks to test the correlation between athletic training and fitness during a pandemic. The results showed the linearity test results obtained by Sig. If the linearity deviation > 0.05 or 0.632 > 0.05, there is a relationship between athletic variables and fitness during the pandemic. For correlation tests, see Sig. (2 tails) <0.05 or Sig value. (2 tails) is 0.000 & lt; 0.05, indicating that there is a correlation between physical education variables and students' physical fitness during the pandemic. SMAN 1 Guntur, Demak Regency.

Abstract The aim of the present in vivo study was to evaluate the bacterial contamination of sports mouthguards, surface roughness, and the efficacy of chlorhexidine gluconate spray in the disinfection of these devices. A randomized, blinded cross-over clinical trial was performed with twenty 9 to 13 years old children who practiced martial arts and participated in all phases of the study. They were instructed to wear mouthguards 3 alternated days a week for 1 hour and, after use, to spray sterile tap water or chlorhexidine 0.12%. The mouthguards were analyzed by MTT assay, Checkerboard DNA-DNA hybridization, and confocal laser microscopy prior and after use for 2 weeks. Data were analyzed by Wilcoxon and t-Student, and Pearson correlation tests, with 5% significance level. Were observed that mouthguards of the control group were more contaminated with cariogenic microorganisms than those of the chlorhexidine group (p<0.05). The mouthguards use of spray of chlorhexidine reduced significantly the bacteria contamination compared with control group (p = 0.007). The surface roughness of the mouthguards increased significantly after use, irrespective of application of chlorhexidine spray. A moderate correlation (r=0.59) was observed between surface roughness and the cariogenic microorganism’s contamination only for control group. Sports mouthguards had intense microbial contamination and increased surface roughness after its use. The use of chlorhexidine spray was effective for reducing the mouthguards contamination used by children.

Abstract The genus Acetes is a minor planktonic crustacean group, known by locals as ‘Udang Geragau’, ‘Udang Baring’ or ‘Bubok’ in different parts of Malaysia. The main objective of this research is to study the impact of climatic events on Acetes spp. landings at the East Coast of Sabah waters (Kudat and Tawau) in the past 30 years (1990-2019). Landing data on Acetes was obtained from the Fisheries Department of Sabah, Malaysia while the climatic data were provided by Malaysian Meteorological Department. One-way ANOVA analyses were conducted on the mean temperature, relative humidity, rainfall and the annual landings of Acetes spp. Pearson’s correlation test was later performed to measure relationship between the annual Acetes spp. landings and the variables as mentioned above. The results of correlation tests revealed that two variables (mean temperature and relative humidity) were having weak negative correlations with the annual landings in Kudat. Mean annual rainfall showed weak positive correlation with the Acetes landings in Tawau. The present study showed that changes in climatic event does influence the annual landings of Acetes spp. in the East Coast of Sabah.
