The tourist area of Cunca Rami Waterfall has natural beauty and environmental conditions allow ferns (pteridophyta) to grow and develop diversity high level. This study aims to inventory the types ferns potential in the Cunca Rami West Manggarai waterfall zone East Nusa Tenggara Province, so that is expected to become important information material for the community and local government in developing natural potential-based tourism owned by West Manggarai Regency. Inventory of ferns was carried out through an exploratory method with random sampling which were subsequently identified by reference to the flora book Steenis, et al (2008). The results showed that there were 15 fern types, namely Adiantum diapahnum L.; Drynaria sparsisora (Desv.) More; Pityrogramma calomelanos Link.; Plagigyra sp.; Asplenium belangeri Bory; Asplenium caudatum forst.; Davalia sp.; Diplazium esculentum Swarz.; Dryopteris ferox; Dryopteris pteroides; Lindsaea decomposita Willd; Nephrolepis exaltata schott.; Nephrolepis sp.; Pteris biaurita L.; Pteris vittata L. Then classified into 8 family types, namely Polypodiaceae, Aspleniaceae, Davalliaceae, Athyriaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Lindsacaceae, Neprolepidaceae, and Pteridaceae. Fern species in the Cunca Rami Waterfall area has great potential, but the surrounding community has not utilized use potential full.

This research was conducted at protected forest Sikulaping, Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra. Data collection and processing were carried out in October - November 2019 using a purposive sampling method, by creating 3 sample plots at each location which is a buffer zone for the Sikukaping protected forest, the village namely Aornakan1, Kuta Tinggi and Sibongkaras. Observations were made on the sample plot with a size of 1000 meters by observing the 20 meters right and left of the plots. The results of this study showed that the number of trees varied for 3 buffer villages, Aornakan 1 Village, found a total of 41 individuals from 16 species with Palaqium gutta as the highest species found with 10 individuals and Species Important Value (41,450). As for Kutatinggi village, there are 22 individuals from 15 species and Shorea parvifolia were found 2 individuals with NPJ 19,008 along with 6 other species Durio zibethinus, Adinandra dumosa, Lithocarpus gracilis, Syzygium polyanthum, Tristianopsi whietena and Uncaria glabra. Whereas in Sibongkaras village, 30 individuals were found from 24 species with Styrax benzoid as the most common species with 4 individuals and NPJ 26,650. Tree diversity (H ') found in the villages of Aornakan, Kuta Tinggi are moderate criteria, by index 2.35, 2.64, while Sibongkaras with an index of 3.07 includes high diversity. The results of this diversity show that the Sikulaping protected forest has a good level of tree productivity and the condition of the forest is still maintained

The determination of the nutrient calcium in oil palm leaves has been carried out at the Medan oil palm research center. Determination of the nutrient calcium in oil palm leaves was carried out using the UV-visible spectrophotometric method. The analysis showed that the average calcium content of oil palm leaves was 0.16%. From these results indicate that the calcium content in oil palm leaves is still enaough than the value of critical value palm leaves which the value between 0.17 - 0.19%.

Palm liquid sewage is organic waste that contains complex compounds such as water, oil, and organic solids. The organic content of palm liquid sewages is an indication of the abundance of microorganisms. This study aims to obtain anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria (BFA) that produce carotenoid pigments from palm liquid sewages. Therefore, We isolated and screened of BFA from three palm liquid sewage disposal sites in Jambi Province. This research was conducted by an experimental method using a modified mineral medium. BFA isolates that growth and produced carotenoid pigments are visible because of the distribution of reddish-yellow pigments on the culture media. Screening results obtained 11 isolates of BFA sequentially Bg1K201, Bg1K202, Bg2k201, Bg3k201, Mr1k201, Mr1k202, Sl1k201, Sl1k202, Sl2k201, Sl2k202 and Sl3k202. The results of morphological and physiological characterization based on the Bergeys Manual of Determinative Bacteriology show that there are two types of BFA genera that have carotenoid pigments, respectively, the genus Rhodobacter (Bg1k201, Bg1k202, Bg3k201, Sl1k201, Sl1k202, and Sl1k202, and Sl2k202, and Sl1k202, and Sl2k202, and Sl1k202 and Sl2k202, and Sl2k202, and Sl2k202. Sl2k202, and) the genus Rhodopseudomonas (Bg2k201, Mr1k201 and Mr1k202)

This study aims to determine the increase in learning motivation of class XI SMA YP PGRI 1 Makassar. This type of research is a classroom action research with implementation stages which include planning, implementation, action, reflection, and evaluation in each cycle. The research subjects were 30 student of class XI IPA for the 2019/2020 academic year. Instruments in data collection using observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The observation sheet is used to determine the increase in student motivation through student activities. Questionnaire sheets were used to obtain data on increasing student motivation in applying the Simas Eric learning model and students as respondents put a cross (X) on the answer choices that are considered the most appropriate to represent the answer. Based on the results of the study, the application of the Simas Eric learning model can increase the learning motivation of class XI IPA students of SMA YP PGRI 1 Makassar for the 2019/2020 school year.This is evidenced by increase in the results of student learning motivation in each cycle. Student learning motivation in cycle I was 61% and increased in cycle II by 84%.

Basic teaching skills is an important skill to support the pedagogical competency of teacher. Student of education program have to mastery the basic teaching skills due to preparation as a teacher. This study is a classroom action research, which aims to implement lesson study-based demonstration method as an effort to improve Biology Education student’s basic teaching skills. Subject of this study is students of Education Biology Program Offering A year 2017/2018 of Universitas Negeri Malang (n=15). This study conducted in two cycles and consisted of eleven basic teaching skills. Data were collected by using basic teaching skills observation sheet, consist of basic teaching skills indicators. This instrument is given to six observers. Data of average score were analyzed descriptively to compare the result of cycle I to cycle II. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of lesson study-based demonstration method improve Biology Education student’s basic teaching skills, especially skilled in free-discussion teaching (average score is 90.5).

Wild edible mushrooms are one the germplasms which consumed by some people in Indonesia. However, due to the similar morpholgical appearance from one mushroom to another, cases of wild mushroom poisoning might be occurred as the result of the misidentification at foraging time. One of the common poisonous mushrooms which easily found around residence area is Chlorophyllum molybdites. To date, there is no database of mushroom poisoning cases in Indonesia. The aims of this research was to provide the information regarding C. molybdites poisoning cases in Indonesia. This is a literature-based quantitative research. During the last 10 years, it is suspected that there have been 4 cases of Chlorophyllum cf. molybdites poisoning in Indonesia with a total of 34 victims and none has died. This mushroom is known to contain toxic compounds, namely polymeric protein. The main constraint related to determining the taxonomic identity of poisonous mushroom, is the lack of information and documentation of samples that cause poisoning in Indonesia. This research explained how to recognize the character of C. molybdites, information on its distribution, and its toxicity aspects. With the complete information as a medium for disseminating mycology knowledge, it is hoped that cases of wild mushroom poisoning can be prevented in the future in Indonesia.

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan peserta didik kelas XI dalam pembelajaran biologi secara online di SMAN 1 Bungo karena hal ini merupakan salah satu aspek penting dari evaluasi. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian deskriptif yang dilaksanakan pada Oktober 2020 di SMAN 1 Bungo. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive Sampling. Sampel terpilih adalah peserta didik kelas XI yang berjumlah 34 orang. Pengambilan data melalui wawancara dengan salah satu guru biologi di SMAN 1 Bungo dan lembar observasi awal pembelajaran biologi secara online peserta didik. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan adanya kendala peserta didik selama pembelajaran biologi secara online seperti berkurangnya fokus peserta didik, waktu pembelajaran yang singkat, adanya peserta didik yang belum bisa mengelola internet dan mencari sumber belajar dengan baik serta sulitnya melaksanakan praktikum untuk pembelajaran biologi secara online. Hasil lembar observasi awal pembelajaran biologi secara online peserta didik diperoleh tingkat kesiapan peserta didik dari 4 aspek terdiri dari aspek kesiapan mengikuti pembelajaran biologi secara online, aspek menyimak penjelasan guru, aspek keaktifan peserta didik saat KBM (Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar) dan aspek respon terhadap tugas. Dari keseluruhan aspek diperoleh rata-rata 75% dengan kriteria cukup siap. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis kesiapan ini adalah sekolah terlebih dahulu mengidentifikasi lebih lanjut pada kendala masing-masing peserta didik dan kesiapan dalam pembelajaran secara online, khususnya pada pembelajaran biologi sehingga kesiapan belajar peserta didik diharapkan bisa berpengaruh positif bagi pribadi peserta didik

This study aims to obtain empirical data regarding the comparison among contextual learning models and the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model on the 1st grade class of learning outcomes on mushroom topics in the High School (on the SMA Negeri 5 Medan). The type of research was used classroom action research. The population in this study was grade first students of High School State 5 Medan, in a total of 8 classes. Sampling technique was taken using the random sampling method from 2 classes. The first-class experimental class (X1) was taught using a contextual learning model and the other class (X3) uses the NHT learning model. The data in was collected using a test (test of learning outcomes). The validation instrument was tested out in the experimental class, then analyzed with the validation test, reliability test, discrimination power test and level of difficulty test to select questions that were considered good for the posttest. The first experimental class (X1) showed the average value of learning outcomes obtained was 7.2 with a variance of 1.358, while the (X3) class obtained was an average value of 6.2 with a variance of 1.102. Based on the results of the t-test analysis, it was found that there was a comparison of contextual learning models with NHT type cooperative learning models to student learning outcomes in class X mushroom material at High School (SMA Negeri 5 Medan)

Blended learning is a learning model which combines various forms of delivery, teaching model, and learning style, which make it easier for students to receive material that is given by their teachers. These blended learning type of course in this research took advantage of the Kulon of online application portal e-learning developed by the muhammadiyah pharmaceutical high school, as an online learning effort during the covid-19 outbreak. The study aims to learn the application of e-learning Kulon to the subjects of human physiological anatomy of pharmaceutical students and a pharmaceutical student's perception of online learning. This research method employs qualitative descriptive research methods. Research instruments used in questioner and online interviews were given to 40 people of pharmaceutical students who take a course in the anatomy of human physiology. Data collected from observation during college and from student response questionnaires to the application of blended learning. Analysis shows that the Kulon portal system and students are ready for the implementation of online learning. With clear instruction, students can perform good and independent learning. A questionnaire's data analysis showed the students braver to asking and answering questions during learning at the Kulon portal rather than in a manual class can conclude that the application of e-learning, a blended type of learning, using the Kulon's portal e-learning during the covid-19 outbreak was good and effective
