MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) are important to the national economy. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected a wide variety of sectors, including MSMEs, all over the world. The study's objectives were to: 1. identify agribusiness SMEs in the upstream and downstream parts of the apple commodity chain; 2. investigate the position of upstream and downstream agribusiness in Batu City's GRDP; and 3. determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on tourist visits and the productivity of Medium, Small, and Micro Apple agribusiness businesses. The study location was purposely decided in the city of Batu in March-April 2021. Non-probability and purposive sampling were used to determine the respondents. The information gathered is both secondary and primary. The data was analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. Out of 23,544 MSMEs in Assess the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the environment. Batu district, 1001 (4.25 %) were upstream and downstream apple agribusinesses, according to the findings. Upstream accounts for 78 % apple agribusiness and 22 % of apple agribusiness. Apple cultivation and sales of equipment for apple cultivation are examples of upstream apple agribusiness MSMEs activities. Meanwhile, the downstream apple agribusiness MSMEs is engaged in apple packaging, sales, processing, and sales of apple processed products. Upstream agribusiness accounts for 12.9 percent of Batu city's GRDP, while downstream agribusiness accounts for 20.3 percent of Batu's GRDP. In the upstream and downstream fields, the Covid-19 pandemic has a negative effect on tourist visits and MSMEs' productivity. To return to pre-Covid-19 conditions, it is recommended that the Batu City Government and MSMEs utilize digitalization technology to enhance efficiency, especially in downstream MSMEs.

Shallot has the highest production value in Indonesia. High production value indicates that shallot is an important commodity, therefore, its potential must be improved. Technical efficiency analysis can be used to measure production efficiency and possible input reduction to maximize the production potential of shallot. The chosen location for this research is Torongrejo Village Batu City, East Java. Shallot productivity value of Batu City is comparable to other central shallot production areas in East Java. The purpose of this research is to understand the farming system and production efficiency of shallot alongside with socio-economics factors affecting its efficiency level. Research method used in this research consists of: profitability analysis of shallot farming, analysis using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to analyze the technical efficiency of shallot production, and Tobit regression to analyze socio-economics factors affecting technical efficiency level. The results from the analyses shows that shallot farming in Torongrejo Village has the R/C ratio of 2,09, with the DEA-CRS technical qfficiency value of 87,7 percent, DEA-VRS technical efficiency value of 99 percent and scale efficiency value of 88,6 percent. The result from Tobit regression using DEA-VRS as dependent variable shows that farming experience and formal education has positive and significant effect on technical efficiency (TE) level, and land ownership status has negative and significant effect on TE level. Shallot production efficiency can be increased by using reduced inputs therefore able to increase farming profit while keep improving farmers’ education and agriculture extension programs for the next generation of farmers.

Climate change is considered as one of the environmental problems because it can reduce farmers' productivity and income, so farmers must implement adaptation strategies to minimize the negative impacts of climate change. This study aims to determine the implementation of farmers 'adaptation strategies, the factors that influence it, and assessing the benefits of implementing adaptation strategies on farmer productivity and incomes. This research was conducted in Sekarputih and Pendem hamlets, Pendem Village, Batu City with a sample size of 80 rice farmers. The analytical tools used are logistic regression to assess the factors that influence farmers' decisions, and t-test to assess the benefits of implementing adaptation strategies. The results showed that the climate change adaptation strategy applied by farmers in Sekarputih and Pendem hamlets during the dry season was to use dry season adaptive varieties. Farmers' decisions to implement adaptation strategies are influenced by factors of education, activeness in farmer groups, seed sources, harvest orientation, and weather information. The t-test shows that farmers who apply adaptation strategies get higher productivity and income than farmers who do not apply adaptation strategies

Minat masyarakat terhadap produk hijau yang mulai berkembang membuat produsen memunculkan green marketing. Salah satu upaya green marketing yaitu pergantian packaging ramah lingkungan.

Tanihub is a market place that specifically sells agricultural products. the aim is to break the distribution chain so that consumers can buy food at low prices and farmers still get huge profits. Currently access and market networks are the main problems faced by the majority of farmers in Indonesia in selling agricultural products. Narrow marketing knowledge and low innovation towards modern agriculture have caused farming to be unprofitable. As a result, farmers live in poverty and farming is increasingly abandoned by the younger generation. this if left in the long run will be a threat to food security. Because in the future food is predicted to have a dual role as a source of food and energy raw materials. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the influence of Wages, Land Ownership, Prestige and Tanihub on the interest of generation Y farming in strengthening food security. The sample in this study were 94 members of HMI branch Ciputat. The analysis used in this study is descriptive statistics and ordinal logistic regression analysis. The results of the study revealed that as many as 54 people were interested in developing digital-based agriculture. The results of ordinal logistic regression analysis are known that Tanihub, Prestige and Land Ownership have a significant effect on the interest in farming. Whereas wages do not have a significant effect on the interest of generation Y farming.

The low productivity of sugarcane in various regions, especially in production centers, has caused domestic sugar production to fluctuate and unable to meet national sugar needs. That is thought to be due to the inefficient use of inputs by sugarcane farmers, lack of access to capital and information, resulting in farmers being unable to provide the latest technology for sugarcane cultivation. The research objective was to analyze the performance of the sugar cane business in Malang Regency by measuring its technical analysis using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. This research was conducted using a survey method of 50 respondent sugarcane farmers in Malang Regency with the multistage random sampling method. The average total technical efficiency (TE CRS) of sugarcane farmers in Malang Regency is 0.766, the average value of pure technical assessment (TE VRS) is 0.829, and the average efficiency scale is 0.926. Farmers who are technically efficient at optimal scale (CRS) of 18% and 82% are not yet at optimal scale. Farmers who are not at an optimal scale are in an IRS condition of 50% and DRS condition of 32%. The result of correlation analysis shows that land areas as a control variable significantly affect the relationship between technical analysis and income, which shows a solid and positive value is 0.415.
