Heritage education has been viewed as an aspect associated to the building of local and national identities, but there has been little exploration of the way it relates to Global Citizenship Education. This chapter explores this relationship in theoretical terms, through documentary review and analysis from a socio-critical perspective. One of the initial conclusions is that heritage education is associated with art history and is the work of formal and informal education institutions. Another more in-depth conclusion is that there are relationships between these two types of education that share the common thread of identity-building and participation, which ties in with recognition of the changes caused to societies through globalisation. The chapter concludes with a series of questions asking whether it is possible to conceive a global heritage or identity.

This paper investigates whether, and if so, in what way, argumentation can be profitably described in speech-act theoretical terms. I suggest that the two theories of argumentation that are supposed to provide the most elaborate analysis of it in speech-act theoretical terms (namely van Eemeren and Rob Grootendorst’s Pragma-Dialectics and Lilian Bermejo-Luque’s linguistic normative model of argumentation) both suffer from the same two flaws: firstly, their “illocutionary act pluralism” assumption and secondly, a lack of interest in where arguing belongs in the classification of illocutionary acts. I argue that these flaws derive from the authors’ reliance on an intention-based speech-theoretical framework. Finally, I adopt a deontic framework for speech acts in order to propose an alternative way of accounting for argumentation which seems to overcome the two limitations outlined above. According to this framework, argumentation may be conceived as a speech act sequence, characterized by the conventional effects brought about by the communicative moves (as illocutionary acts) of which it is composed.

In this research work, Author focus on the analysis trade cooperation in light of the forces that are currently re-shaping international business. Accordance to the foreign trade policy theory further trade liberalisation and improved framework policies would increase trade and promote growth. It must be emphasized that openess to trade is associated with higher incomes and growth and there are the need for new approaches to trade cooperation. What indicates the importance and innovativeness of the research is the presentation of the new models of the foreign trade policy and trade interests. First of all it must underline that in the new theoretical terms in the demand for trade policy very important is factor specificity. The low specificity of factors means that factor returns are equalized throughout a region’s economy. On the other hand some factors are stuck in their present uses; therefore, factor returns are not equalized throughout a region’s economy, but are industry specific. The main objective of the research task is to give a comprehensive analysis of current trends in foreign trade theory and policy and in particulary the models of foreign trade policy, trade interests indicated by export orientation and import sensitivity, foreign trade policy in different types of authoritarian regimes, protectionistic pressures in different political system, the level of protectionistic pressures, the variation in the foreign trade policy among states, the liberalisation of China foreign trade policy and their effects, the tendencies to international trade liberalisation and the problem of environmental protection, and the tendencies to bilateralism in the foreign trade policy. It should be stressed that free trade in itself is not responsible for economic growth, but more significant are the determining macroeconomic stability and increasing investment.

The article analyzes the democratic crisis experienced by Brazil from the second decade of the 21st century onwards. The aim is to investigate how this historical period can be characterized. The text asserts that it is inappropriate to understand Brazil without observing its historical distrust of democracy and lack of commitment to the rule of law. The research is based on the assumption that Brazilian modernization in the transition from the 20th to the 21st century was ambiguous but with important achievements. However, the authoritarian mentality and the gap in terms of the quality of political participation are factors of structural permanence. The hypothesis is that Brazil is experiencing a specific moment characterized by the awakening of an authoritarian and conservative mentality that impacts both the State and civil society. The research methodology is based on a bibliographical discussion, with contributions in history, political science, and law. The subjects are discussed in theoretical terms to understand the problems related to the political participation gap, the inequality between citizens, the difficulties of civic culture (mainly in the digital environment), and some inherent weaknesses in democratic performance. Starting from the idea that civic culture influences institutions and these, in turn, impact civic culture, Brazil is currently experiencing a political and cultural setback. Contrary to what could be imagined a few years ago, the process of Brazilian social modernization is threatened in its most important achievements, which implies a danger to the values that sustain democracy. Keywords: authoritarianism; brazilian democracy; political culture; political participation; the rule of law.

Abstract The article is devoted to the assessment of the comparative experimental studies’ results of various technologies for drying impregnated insulation of power electrical equipment in the process of manufacturing and repair: standard technology, which provides for convective drying using high-power electric ovens, and the proposed technology and methods for accelerated drying in hardware complexes using infrared (IR) radiation. In particular, the article presents the results of the polymer insulation surface microstructure analysis after drying by the indicated methods. The research was carried out in an industrial environment, using specialized certified equipment. In theoretical terms, the article presents the calculations on the rationale for the use of IR radiation during drying of a multilayer insulating structure of various compositions. The studies carried out confirm the hypothesis about the formation of microcavities on the surface and in the thickness of the polymer insulation when using convection during drying, which reduce the quality and reliability of the electrical equipment insulation as a whole. At the same time, the proposed technology and technique for accelerated drying of electrical equipment insulation using IR-radiation gives an opportunity to improve the quality of the resulting polymer insulation, increasing its reliability. In addition, this technology can significantly increase the productivity of insulation repair and reduce energy costs.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, digitalization has become a popular topic in both practical and theoretical terms. In many areas, for example, education and communications, information and communication technologies began to play a leading role, especially during the period of limited mobility. However, in some other areas that also came under close scrutiny during the pandemic, such as the field of energy transition, digitalization has not yet fully unlocked its potential. Moreover, the digitalization of energy transition has not been researched enough. The purpose of this article is to fill this gap. The authors investigate the current stage of digitalization of the energy sector and the role of information and communication technologies in the traditional energy complex and in clean energy and identify and analyze the key groups of technologies that will have a decisive impact on the energy transition in the near future. The authors also examine the process of digitalization in the Russian energy sector in order to determine whether it is giving an impetus to the energy transition of Russia.

The article is a review of the book "Monument and Holiday: Ethnography of Victory Day", edited by M. Gabovich, which summarizes the results of a study of Victory Day celebrating practices in 23 cities of 11 countries. The book is interesting both in terms of plot and in theoretical terms, since it touches upon the problems of further development and contemporary difficulties of memory studies: to what extent this sphere of research succeeds in “keeping up with the time”. Its focus is not so much on the politicization of memory (especially after the Crimean crisis), as on the constant intertwining and interaction of commemoration practices of different levels - local and transnational, generational and family, ethical and aesthetic cultural forms that go beyond common in contemporary "memory wars" binary oppositions.

Abstract. The essay combines the concept of social cohesion with Rudolf Stichweh's system-theoretical concept of world society. These two approaches are joint hereafter with questions of spatial differentiation. The aim is to embed empirical micro-studies in macro-theoretical terms and to make them useful for empirical research in social geography. The construct of “cohesive region” demonstrates this by using the example of neighbourhoods.

Study objective: This study aims to identify the emergence of new studies in the field of strategy, considering 12 years of publications in the Strategic Management Journal.Methodology / approach: In the Web of Science database, we searched the journal “Strategic Management Journal”, in two periods, 2007 to 2012 and 2013 to 2018. We exclusively selected articles related to “Business” and “Management”. This search generated 1,100 articles for our database, with 376 articles from the first period and 724 articles from the second period. We use matching techniques in the analyses performed using Bibexcel and SPSS. At the same time, in Ucinet, we created the network diagram which supports the relationships between the identified factors and confirmatory analysis of the findings.Originality / Relevance: Bibliometric studies are constantly seeking to analyze how the theoretical structure of theories is progressing, and in strategy, it has not been different. To verify how studies in strategy have evolved in theoretical terms, given their multi-disciplinarity, a comparative study of two distinct but subsequent periods offers a global view of where the studies are heading. We discovered new theoretical fronts in essence to behavioral studies that emerged in previous studies and are strengthened in new research.Main results: The search identified 57 articles and six factors from 2007 to 2012 and 2013 to 2018 produced 22 articles and five factors. The results confirmed the evolution of studies in behavioral theories, especially regarding managers and their strategies as well as other findings, such as research related to environmental dynamics and competitive dynamics. We still have strong participation of studies with resource-based theory, transaction costs, and the emergence of new theories such as tournaments and behavioral strategy.Theoretical / methodological contributions: Bibliometric searches can be examples of how to analyze references. In this sense, this study helps researchers have a parameter in similar studies, with pairing analysis and the combination of analysis of two subsequent periods. On the theoretical side, the findings give strength to previous research, validating established theories and showing emerging theories.Social / management contributions: This research obtained results that confirm the multi-disciplinarity in strategy studies. Behavioral theories have emerged and strengthened in recent years. For management, we found that the surveys substantially analyze the strategic behavior of senior members in strategic decisions, such as in company acquisitions, in the formation of alliances, and how managers will perform when they are under contracts, differentiated remuneration, or in competition. For this reason, some theories emerged in the second period, such as tournament theory, not highlighted in previous bibliometric studies. Finally, a comparative summary of the factors found in the two periods helps managers in managerial perspectives on organizational strategies.

Modern information and communication tools significantly expand a person's capabilities for personal and group participation in the economic, political and social life of society, allow him to interfere in the activities of state authorities. In an attempt to curb these spontaneous dynamics as threatening the stability of the existing order, the state and power elites use classical technologies dating back to the days of Machiavelli, which provokes an increase in turbulence in society. In the theory of cybernetics, the idea has developed that overcoming technologies such as "controlled chaos" will be associated with the paradigm of transition from observing systems to self-developing systems. In theoretical terms, the implementation of this concept rests against the lack of clarity about the unity of controlled environments - natural and social. which indicates a lack of depth of the transdisciplinary approach. In the theory of international relations, A. Wendt proposed a common ontological foundation of social and natural sciences in the quantum picture of the universe. In the history of science, A.L. Chizhevsky demonstrated the possibility of such a synthesis based on the unity of electronic phenomena from animate and inanimate nature to social technologies. The future of a person largely depends on the type of that socio-electronic turbulence initiated by the authorities: in a totalitarian society, a person will be placed under total electronic control, in a democratic society, his own electronic system (types of transitions from baked external energy into activities) will be tuned to creative process.
