In this article, a numerical method based on the shifted Chebyshev functions for the numerical approximation of the coupled nonlinear variable-order fractional sine-Gordon equations is shown. The variable-order fractional derivative is considered in the sense of Caputo-Prabhakar. To solve the problem, first, we obtain the operational matrix of the Caputo-Prabhakar fractional derivative of shifted Chebyshev polynomials. Then, this matrix and collocation method are used to reduce the solution of the nonlinear coupled variable-order fractional sine-Gordon equations to a system of algebraic equations which is technically simpler for handling. Convergence and error analysis are examined. Finally, some examples are given to test the proposed numerical method to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.

In this article, a numerical technique based on the Chebyshev cardinal functions (CCFs) and the Lagrange multiplier technique for the numerical approximation of the variable-order fractional integrodifferential equations are shown. The variable-order fractional derivative is considered in the sense of regularized Hilfer-Prabhakar and Hilfer-Prabhakar fractional derivatives. To solve the problem, first, we obtain the operational matrix of the regularized Hilfer-Prabhakar and Hilfer-Prabhakar fractional derivatives of CCFs. Then, this matrix and collocation method are used to reduce the solution of the nonlinear coupled variable-order fractional integrodifferential equations to a system of algebraic equations which is technically simpler for handling. Convergence and error analysis are examined. Finally, some examples are given to test the proposed numerical method to illustrate its accuracy and efficiency.

AbstractThe shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the fifth kind (SCPFK) and the collocation method are employed to achieve approximate solutions of a category of the functional equations, namely variable-order time-fractional weakly singular partial integro-differential equations (VTFWSPIDEs). A pseudo-operational matrix (POM) approach is developed for the numerical solution of the problem under study. The suggested method changes solving the VTFWSPIDE into the solution of a system of linear algebraic equations. Error bounds of the approximate solutions are obtained, and the application of the proposed scheme is examined on five problems. The results confirm the applicability and high accuracy of the method for the numerical solution of fractional singular partial integro-differential equations.

Abstract We consider a fractional derivative with order varying in time. Then, we derive for it a Leibniz' inequality and an integration by parts formula. We also study an initial value problem with our time variable order fractional derivative and present a regularity result for it, and a study on the asymptotic behavior.

This paper derives a new operational matrix of the variable-order (VO) time fractional partial derivative involved in anomalous diffusion for shifted Chebyshev polynomials. We then develop an accurate numerical algorithm to solve the 1 + 1 and 2 + 1 VO and constant-order fractional diffusion equation with Dirichlet conditions. The contraction of the present method is based on shifted Chebyshev collocation procedure in combination with the derived shifted Chebyshev operational matrix. The main advantage of the proposed method is to investigate a global approximation for spatial and temporal discretizations, and it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations, which greatly simplifies the solution process. In addition, we analyze the convergence of the present method graphically. Finally, comparisons between the algorithm derived in this paper and the existing algorithms are given, which show that our numerical schemes exhibit better performances than the existing ones.

A novel and efficient numerical method is developed based on interpolating scaling functions to solve 2D Fredholm integral equations (FIE). Using the operational matrix of integral for interpolating scaling functions, FIE reduces to a set of algebraic equations that one can obtain an approximate solution by solving this system. The convergence analysis is investigated, and some numerical experiments confirm the accuracy and validity of the method. To show the ability of the proposed method, we compare it with others.

AbstractIn this paper, we have applied a numerical method based on Boubaker polynomials to obtain approximate numerical solutions of multi-order fractional differential equations. We obtain an operational matrix of fractional integration based on Boubaker polynomials. Using this operational matrix, the given problem is converted into a set of algebraic equations. Illustrative examples are are given to demonstrate the efficiency and simplicity of this technique.

A numerical method based on the CAS wavelets is presented for the fractional integrodifferential equations of Bratu type. The CAS wavelets operational matrix of fractional order integration is derived. A truncated CAS wavelets series together with this operational matrix is utilized to reduce the fractional integrodifferential equations to a system of algebraic equations. The solution of this system gives the approximation solution for the truncated limited2k(2M+1). The convergence and error estimation of CAS wavelets are also given. Two examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the approach.

In this paper, an efficient numerical method to solve a system of linear fuzzy Fredholm integral equations of the second kind based on Bernoulli wavelet method (BWM) is proposed. Bernoulli wavelets have been generated by dilation and translation of Bernoulli polynomials. The aim of this paper is to apply Bernoulli wavelet method to obtain approximate solutions of a system of linear Fredholm fuzzy integral equations. First we introduce properties of Bernoulli wavelets and Bernoulli polynomials, then we used it to transform the integral equations to the system of algebraic equations. The error estimates of the proposed method is given and compared by solving some numerical examples.

In this paper, a new approximate method for solving of systems of nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations of arbitrary (integer and fractional) order is introduced. For this purpose, the generalized fractional order of the Chebyshev orthogonal functions (GFCFs) based on the classical Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind has been introduced that can be used to obtain the solution of the integro-differential equations (IDEs). Also, we construct the fractional derivative operational matrix of order $\alpha$ in the Caputo's definition for GFCFs. This method reduced a system of IDEs by collocation method into a system of algebraic equations. Some examples to illustrate the simplicity and the effectiveness of the propose method have been presented.
