The quality assurance and development of an educational institution depends on the quality of the headmaster as an educational leader. Therefore, the headmaster are required to be more creative, innovative and dynamic in line with changes in society that are increasingly fast and open. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in supporting quality assurance at SMA YP 17 Surabaya. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in supporting quality assurance, the leadership of the head of SMA YP 17 Surabaya is supported by the character of strong responsibility, courage in making decisions, and participation in implementing policies. The headmaster has made several important efforts in supporting the quality assurance of the institution by developing the curriculum, human resources, infrastructure and increasing community participation. In managerial terms, the development of the quality of the institution is supported by good coordination with the academic community and the existence of togetherness in curriculum management and learning. In order for quality assurance to be more effective, the headmaster must periodically evaluate every program that has been implemented. The aim is to measure the level of success and find out the deficiencies of the program being implemented. Furthermore, the headmaster needs to conduct more massive socialization of the institution to the community. This is an effort to increase community participation in efforts to develop the quality of schools in the future.

The role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture and quality of the school is very influential for the quality of the school. This leadership is oriented to how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the interactive learning process, conducive schoolenvironment, cultured and quality community. The purpose of the research is: (1) describe how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture of SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya (2) describes how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the quality of SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya. This research uses Qualitative research method. Data collection using research instruments with participant observation methods, in-depth interviews, documentation and literature reviews. The results of this study are: (1) the role of the principal leadership at SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya in supporting the culture and quality of education is considered as an important element and optimal enough in determining the direction of school success. (2) The impact of the principal's support in improving the culture and quality of education at SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya is quite maximal. It can be concluded that the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture and quality of the school is very influential in improving the quality of the school.

This study was conducted in order to reveal the role of principal leadership on improving teacher’s performance. The data were obtained through interview, documentation and observation. An increase of teachers’ performance may also improve the quality of education and quality of teaching. To achieve eligibility standards and good performance, the school needs to be headed by a Principal whom qualified with extensive knowledge about the Leadership. A school principal is responsible for the educational organization, school administration, utilization and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, and coaching educational personnel. No matter how perfect the teaching facility, otherwise when the headmaster as executor is unable to perform his duties as an educational leader, then the success of education in schools would be difficult to achieve.

The leadership role of the principal in improving the quality of learning at SDN 3 Makarti Jaya, Banyuasin Regency can be said to have played a role in improving the quality of learning.As educators, school principals guide teachers how to deliver effective and efficient learning materials, as managers of principals able to optimize educational facilities, as administrators able to compile programs,as a supervisor able to compile an educational supervision program, as a headmaster leader Understand the condition of the school community, as an innovator able to implement reform (change for the better),as a motivator to be able to regulate the work / learning atmosphere, as an intreprenuer of the principal together with the school committee to work together to work creatively in extracting sources of empowerment to improve teacher professionalism,especially with regard to teachers to attend professionalism education and training as well as sending teachers to attend seminars.

Improved quality of education viewed from quality human resources are there in the school. The principal plays an important role as a leader in fostering and developing the educational personnel and educators at the school. In the task given there are problems faced include a lack of understanding of the principal duties and responsibilities which should be exercised especially that has been set in the regulation, resulting in the role of principal yet to a maximum in terms of managerial, entrepreneurial development, and supervision at the school. This devotion uses the method of community education in the form of workshops aimed at improving the understanding of the principal about duties and responsibilities in the school. The results of the public service can be seen from enthusiastic participants in the workshop as well as a series of events following an increase in understanding of the principal of duty as head of the school. Based on the results of such devotion can be concluded that an increase in the professional head of the school is very influential on the quality of produce educators and educators at the school. This study aims to see the role of principals and teachers in improving the quality of learning at SMA Negeri 5 Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU). The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of principal leadership and teacher professionalism in an effort to improve the quality of learning. This research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data source is 50 teachers. The data technique is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study illustrate that the role of principal ownership and teacher professionalism in an effort to improve the quality of learning in schools has been done as well as possible. This is with the shared role of the teacher in planning the Learning Implementation Plan that has been made and approved by the principal.

This paper discusses the importance of the students ‘character building in the level of primary school/Islamic elementary school to face the globalization and information era. Education is the process of determining the nation’s character. Good or bad character of the nation in the future will be determined by the present quality of education. Building the character through Tahfidzul Quran learning approach is expected to be the main foundation to improve the degree and prestige of learners as the asset of the nation. This study aimed to describe the process of Tahfidzul Quran learning which included planning, organizing, doing action and monitoring the important role of learning itself to build the learners’ character, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.
