Islamic education, which aims to form the perfect man (insan kamil), is faced with complicated problems of globalization era characterized by the transformation of information. Islam must dominate the quality of education, to be both resistant and flexible with the times. To form a solid Islamic education takes various steps. Reconstruction of the essence and urgency of Islamic education is a way to drown out the dichotomy of science, since all sciences, according to Islam, comes from one authority. By understanding and accepting diversity, the nature of tolerance and inclusivity have been more mature so that Muslims are able to exchange thoughts for the future progress. However, this paradigm must now be designed or renewed so that Islamic education is able to build a democratic, religious, innovative, and ready person to face the challenges of the transformation of great and rapid information. The future of schools is largely determined by managerial factors one aspect is planning. Small schools will develop significantly when professionally managed. With the same easy management, large schools will grow. Conversely, advanced schools will experience a setback when management is not well managed. If schools neglect management, small schools will close down in the face of multimensional dimensions. Planning patterns in schools that have not been conducive to face the challenges of modernization even need to be changed into planning patterns that are more responsive to the needs of society and the demands of the times. The pattern must lead to activities that involve more and more people in the leadership ranks, to jointly run the wheels of the school organization towards conditions that are advanced and established, both in terms of institutional, educational system, learning process, and quality of students so that they can realize effective school. Keywords: Planning, Effective Schools and Islamic Education Institutions

One of the most important and influential educational components is the teacher. Because the teacher is a central figure in improving the quality of education in students. Teachers in carrying out their duties are required to carry out various conditions, duties and responsibilities as instructors, educators and trainers. With a variety of demands that are so big and heavy, teachers in reality sometimes pay little attention to and implement these demands, so that they will influence and reduce the quality of education, especially students. The concept of teacher exemplary in terms of Islamic education is very important and is a very influential method in the process of formation and development of students. And this has been applied by the Apostle to his friends. As an educator, the teacher who becomes a character, role model and identification for students and their environment the teacher must implement the quality of his personality which includes authority, responsibility, independence, discipline, code of ethics, compassion, and mingling with society in daily life both in school environment and outside the school environment. Thus, the example of the teacher implemented in daily life will lead to the achievement of the goal of Islamic education to the fullest. From the explanation above, this is where the importance of this theme is about the example of the teacher in the perspective of scientific education to be studied by the author in the study of literature as a consideration or reference for educators, especially teachers.

Abstract: Islamic boarding school is one of the dominant Islamic education institutions and emphasizes religious studies that influence and impact the culture, tradition and preservation of Islamic teachings. Islamic boarding schools also play a role in the formatio n of a nation's civilization. Pesantren at this time must be prepared to face the challenges of globalization and produce graduates who can compete and fill the global era. For this reason, pesantren must be able to become institutions that are global in m ind and have capable resources, especially in Islamic education. Therefore, it is necessary to change the mindset of pesantren into a mindset that follows change, which is oriented towards the creation of graduates who have three abilities, namely: (1) the ability to survive (survive) amidst continuous changes and competition, ( 2) the ability to improve the quality of life (spiritual and physical), (3) the ability to develop and adapt to the changing demands of the times

Abstract., As the trend of the memorizing The Holly Qur’an develops in Indonesian Muslim communities, now taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān has entered and become a flagship program in formal schools, especially private Islamic schools. The majority of them are the schools with fairly expensive fees. They use taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program to attract market interest. So there is an indication that the schools are commercializing education if they use taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān program only to get many students. In other hand quality education requires high costs. So that not always high cost schools can be categorized as commercialization only if the financing is used to facilitate the fluency of teaching-learning process, developing infrastructure and procurement of media that support the implementation of quality education. In the context of schools with taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program, there are several benchmarks to determine wheter commercialization has occured or not. First, measured from quality of reciting Qur’an of students, the fluency, tajwīd and makhrāj al-ḥurūf. Second, measured from quality of  memorizing Qur’an of students. Third, measured from memorized quantity that has been targeted. In order taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān to become quality program and not to commercialize, the steps that must be taken are to introduce Al-Qur’an, teach love to the Qur’an, teach adab in memorizing  Qur’an and teach the values contained in the Qur’an. While what should be avoided is prioritizing memorization quantity by ignoring the quality of reciting Qur’an, tajwīd and makhrāj al-ḥurūf and prioritizing adding memorization by ignoring repetition. Both will cause taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān program to be contra-produtive and lack from Islamic education values and only burden the students. Keywords: taḥfīẓ program, taḥfīẓ al-qur’ān and Education commercializationAbstrak., Seiring berkembangnya tren menghafal Al-Qur’an di masyarakat Muslim Indonesia, kini program taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān telah masuk dan menjadi program unggulan di sekolah-sekolah formal khususnya sekolah-sekolah Islam swasta. Kedua, dinilai dari kualitas hafalan Al-Qur’an peserta didik.

Abstract   Discussing about the role of Islamic boarding schools in the formation and development of education, especially Islamic education, in Indonesia is hardly debated and doubtful. Long before Indonesia's independence, this institution which was in charge of ulama (kyai) was present in the archipelago. The history that goes through shows that the pesantren is not only able to maintain the survival of the times, but also can take care of its development which continues to increase from time to time. According to available data, this institution was first established, especially in Java, in the 15th century by Maulana Malik Ibrahim (one of the oldest walisongo) and later developed by other walisongo. By the end of the 19th century, the number of Islamic boarding schools in Java had grown to 300, and based on the records of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion Islamic Boarding School Database, the number of Islamic Boarding Schools in 2018 was around 21,321. The survival and continuous development of the boarding school certainly cannot be separated from the scientific tradition developed which has a strong enough distinction. One of them is the transformative education pattern. This makes the pesantren not just a religious institution that is merely active in the world of religious education for the santri, but at the same time has a concern and active role together with the community in empowering themselves. These values also did not escape the Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School in Kebumen. This pesantren which is famous for its 'Arab Village' has more value which requires the Al-Istiqomah Islamic boarding school to be developed into an international standard education. This internationalization is important to be put forward, in addition to developing and strengthening the quality of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and in Kebumen in particular, Internationalization will also be the biggest contribution to the development and strengthening of its own academic community. It will also make Islamic boarding schools play a greater role in making concrete contributions to global life.   Keywords: Survive Management of Islamic Boarding Schools, International Islamic Education, Quality of Islamic Boarding Schools
