The linguistic research of (the new) media so far has mainly focused on the analysis of content from broadcasters – people publishing on the Internet in order to convince the potential recipients to enter the website, read articles, explore the website as well as return after leaving it – in exchange for the material or financial benefit. Several years of observation of a variety of text types existing in the media shows that not only texts from broadcasters make it possible to notice and maintain this attention of recipients. Nowadays, similarly as in marketing and advertising, in the media (but not only there) the essential and productive content comes from the recipient. The subject of this quantitative and qualitative linguistic analysis is the title testimonial as a rapidly growing persuasive (promotional) trend in (new) media and a response to the challenges of the modern society.

In this digital era, young people are very vulnerable to negative things, therefore Islam as a religion which is rahmatan lil alamin, must take appropriate and fast actions to save young generations of Islam from getting lost in the darkness of cyberspace life. This article is prepared with a library research approach by conducting a literature review and collecting data from various sources and subsequently, the data is analyzed descriptively by presenting facts or findings which are then theoretically reviewed. Therefore da’wah of digital era really must use the media, especially new media. The development of communication technology has changed the way people communicate and interact. Nowadays, almost everyone uses the internet to send, search, and read information. Therefore, the Qur’an Surah An-Nahl: 125 offering da'wah methods of digital era have to be able to attract sympathetic Millennials, presenting representative, interactive and innovative da'wah methods through social media is the best way to save the young generations of Islam in the future.

The spread of digital media on the internet was very broad, fast, and cannot be monitored in a structured manner about what media has been uploaded and distributed on the internet network. The spread of digital media like this was very difficult to detect whether the media that shared was privately owned or that of others that is re-shared by media theft or digital media piracy. One step to overcome the theft of digital works is to give them a watermark, which is an identity that is placed on top of the work. However, this is still considered unsafe because the identity attached can be cut and manipulated again until it is not visible. In addition, the use of Steganography method to hide messages in an image can still be manipulated by adding messages continuously so that it accumulates and damages the original owner of the image. In this article, the author provides a solution called Digital Watermarking, a step of encrypting the data of the original owner of the work and putting it into the image of his work. This watermark cannot be seen clearly, but actually in the media there is encrypted data with a strong Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method. As a result, a tool that can improve the security of media owner data by combining the AES and Steganogaphy methods in the formation of new media that cannot be changed anymore. So, when the media is stolen and used by others and has been edited, the owner's personal data can never be changed.

The relevance of the issue of combating drug trafficking did not begin to decline with the development ofthe Internet and electronic technologies; it would seem that new means of controlling and combating crimeappear. But as it turns out, all new tools appear with a significant delay as a reaction to the development ofmethods of committing a crime. The criminal world is not asleep and is always in search of new means ofcommitting a crime, the development of Internet technologies and the anonymity of Internet users renderconsiderable assistance to this for the criminal community. The openness of our modern society, in termsof the impact on culture and youth, of Western trends, such as the legalization of certain drugs and theirsanctification in the media, creates new consumers and potential customers for criminals organizing drugtrafficking. Which together gives disappointing forecasts, even on the moral development of modern youth.This article describes the current problems of combating drug trafficking using the Internet, the problemof the development of crime in the field of drug trafficking; the statistics of crimes committed in the AltaiTerritory is investigated; suggested ways to solve these problems.

The problem that we want to investigate in this article is a phenomenon that, for various re-searchers, including Marsh Kinder, we call super entertainment systems. It is about a multitude of uses or the existence of not only figures, but also a certain universe — not necessarily taken from popular culture, resp. literature — which will then be introduced as elements or an intertextual net-work, or rather — become elements in various entertainment systems. They can be: Classic systems, such as classic printed forms,II. Films, including amateur productions and disseminated on the Internet,III. Different types of games ranging from RPG to video games,IV. Different types of theatrical or paratheatrical forms,V. Any gadgets related to the above-mentioned elements,VI. Also — manifestations of fanatic creativity (in any form),VII. Musical forms. The problems that researchers face are related to the following: Can the above-mentioned problems be reduced to a simpler form of the question about the form of the media message? Is it about the so-called old media and new media and media convergence? What and how the roles of the sender/author and the recipient should be determined, and whether such a division is correct (NB: L. Manovich introduces the notions of the creator and consumer, whether the division into a passive/active/participating recipient is important). The problems that lie ahead are twofold:First of all — methodical issues concerning the methodology of description and research of the aforementioned phenomena,Secondly — methodological problems, among which the basic problem appears: can we define one approach to the above-mentioned issues or there will be a multiplicity of methodologies here? In the latter case, you will need to find a way/method to compare test results.

The article aims at drawing attention to opportunities of reputation management by researchers using new media, considering the importance of internet tools for image creation and identifying opportunities and threats. The research problem of the article focuses on answers to the question formulated as follows: What might the possible importance of the Internet for reputation building be? The problem relates to the issue of researchers’ active participation in creating and shaping their reputation online. The presented considerations have been based on literature and studies on the subject. The article attempts to clarify the distinction between the concepts of identity, image, and reputation. It discusses image-creating factors and refers to the question of immanent credibility and guise in research. The author describes examples of internet tools and points to their importance for reputation management, which concerns the sum of partial images accumulating over time. Communication plays an important role in building reputation. Owing to its availability, interactivity and variety of forms, as well as the speed of information transfer, the Internet has become an indispensable channel of communication. All researchers should recognise the fact in order to build their reputation thoughtfully. Their reputation involves a multitude of accumulated images formed as a result of interactions between factors associated with the subjects themselves, information the recipients obtain, and factors relating to the recipients. The conclusions of the study point to the necessity of reputation management by planned and deliberate actions taking advantage of internet tools. Thus, every effort should be made to prevent a situation where reputation is shaped irrespective of the interested person’s participation.

This study focuses on the notion of power as a way of conceptualisation, representation and functioning in the Russian and English-speaking media discourse and its role in the life of the younger generation of the third millennium. Power and its language have always remained an actual research question of interdisciplinary scientific analysis. However, studying young people’s linguistic and paralinguistic perception of power in the era of digitalisation becomes extremely important due to an empowering role young adults have started playing in modern society employing new media and their discursive communication there. The study regards the theoretical background of the phenomenon of power, based on A. Gramsci’s hegemonic approach. The authors of the research suggest that the media discourse is a hegemonic form of power that maintains its position through the elaboration of a particular worldview, which makes a significant impact on young individuals, the so-called net-generation. The study relies on free-associative and graphic experiments to analyse and perceive “power” concept and its influence on young individuals’ consciousness. Results indicate that both Russian and English-speaking media discourse represents “power” through the prism of anthroponyms as well as toponyms. Besides, the findings of the free-associative experiment, conducted among young adults, demonstrated the dominance of the lexical units belonging to the same grammatical class of words as the stimulus word “power”. Furthermore, a graphic experiment revealed young people’s emotional evaluations of power in media discourse communication. As such, the results suggest that “power” is a natural, complex and multifaceted linguacultural and social phenomenon realised through a variety of linguistic and paralinguistic means, and it produces a dualistic effect on young people’s consciousness through their interaction in the media discourse space.

The importance of media culture in contemporary society is extremely large because it shapes a modern man life, the creation of political attitudes and social behavior of individuals. The products of media culture, paintings, sounds and performances are increasingly organizing free time of a contemporary man, shaping his thinking and identity. Based on the content of radio, television, film, and new media technologies, a person creates an image of himself, his own potentials, values, success, as well as his own affiliation, a certain class, race, nationality, and thus media culture has a remarkable social significance. A number of relevant authors state that media culture shapes people's perceptions of the world, the value system, morality, good and evil. Worldwide, the contents of the media culture today constitute a general culture and are seen as the basis for new forms of global culture. A complex spectrum of actions that make media, primarily radio television, film, and media of modern technologies, creates the need for a more precise definition of the term media culture, bearing in mind its breadth and complexity. In this context, the main goal of this paper is to define the concept of media culture, in order to better understand all aspects, as well as the complexity of the whole that this term implies. Media culture is determined by the terms which provide an insight into a better understanding of this term, and in this paper they are given considerable attention. D. Kelner in the Media Culture section points to the following important determinants: a wide range of media resources that form an integral part of the media culture; performances created by the combination of picture and sound; creation of features and symbols of contemporary social life; media culture as a high technology culture (techno-culture); the relation between media culture and society; theory of media and cultures.

The article deals with the virtual identity in the media discourse. It states that there must be information for communication to take place, including virtual communication. The object of research is text-generating language tools in Internet linguistics, and the subject is to determine their participation and role in the formation of the text. The realization of virtual communication is carried out in written and oral form of the language. Any language units such as sentences, texts, discourses (written and oral), non-linguistic units (such as graphemes, grapheme combinations, prosodic means, such as syllable stress, intonation, pause, etc.) can be considered a virtual information carrier. Virtual communication participants must use one of these tools in order to have two-way communication in the communication process. It is important to pay attention to the meaning and content of the communication. For virtual communication there must be a text that is formed for a specific purpose. Until recently, in linguistics, an independent and separate sentence was accepted as the last unit of the syntactic level in terms of hierarchical relations. In our opinion, these shortcomings, which exist at the syntactic level, gives a special impetus to the emergence of such a field as textual linguistics. In the modern world of the Internet, at a time when man-made technology is beginning to open the way to all areas of our lives, it is not surprising that a new field of linguistics � Internet linguistics � is developing very rapidly. The language of the Internet is constantly on the move; it is observed and operates in different types of communication. In the 21st century, the study of the Internet language from a systemic and structural point of view is observed. At present, linguists are focusing on the analysis of different expressions of the new media discourse in the various virtual worlds observed in the process of communication. The formation of an anthropocentric scientific paradigm in linguistics leads to the intensification of linguistic trends related to communication problems. It is noteworthy to note that when approaching communication in a semiotic plan, its consideration as an action carried out with the direct participation of linguo-semiotic means is one of the factors that led to the expansion of discourse. The virtual world is a shining example of the transition observed in the modern Internet world (explicit and implicit) on the basis of communication. The Internet is the most remarkable tool created by living things. Its impact on society and the world is undeniable. In this regard, the formation of Internet linguistics should not be considered a coincidence. Internet linguistics plays an important role in studying the influence of the Internet on language, develops under its own name in modern linguistics and forms the means of communication in different languages.

Zazenkai, also known as Zen meditation or Zen Mindfulness, is held in Japan for the general public, usually with time, place and procedures set by a Buddhist Zen Temple. With the emergence of the Internet and new media, several Zen Temples have started to hold Zazenkai by utilizing these media technologies including online live streaming. This new type of Zazenkai is known as Internet Zazenkai. Compared with traditional Zazenkai that are held at a certain time and place, the application of new media enables Internet Zazenkai to go beyond the spatial and temporal limits of nature, where Zen practitioners in different global locations participate together using webcam. Individuals spatially separated from each other could share the same time and space of Zazenkai on the Internet. While the new media technologies open up new opportunities for Zazenkai, they also invite examinations into religious meanings of time and space for Zen practitioners. This paper is based on the study and examination of Internet Zazenkai regularly held by Treeleaf Zendo, a Soto Zen temple in Tsukuba. Its homepage Treeleaf.org is a virtual space where live streaming of Zazenkai is provided, its recorded videos are kept, web podcast of lectures and talks are heard, and so on. By analyzing the techno-ritual phenomenon, this paper attempts to analyze the role of Zen masters and participants in the process of Internet Zazenkai and to examine the differences and similarities between traditional Zazenkai and Internet Zazenkai. This paper will shed new light on the influence of new media upon religious and ritual space in modern society.

A Child is an Internet’s Consumer We live in very strange times. Dynamic changes are taking place in front of our eyes. Every day, new, innovative devices, programs and software are created. The world has sped up and people have to adapt to it in the best way possible. Being able to filter so much information is not easy for adults, and even harder for children that are just learning everything. Therefore, it is worth asking yourself whether everything that the world gives us is good, and if not, can we see it? If so, can we protect children from the negative effects of new media and modern technology and teach them to use wisely the benefits of today? The article describes the media, their importance in the modern world and their split. Social media, which are currently considered one of the greatest achievements of mankind, as well as the Internet, where its functions, advantages, but also the dangers it brings are presented in more detailed way. Television, which plays an important role in family life, is also described in this work. The next chapter presents the results of the own research. During the interviews, the students answered questions about what electronic devices they use most often, what websites they use most often, what time they spend in front of the screen/on the Internet and if they know the dangers of using the Internet. In addition, during the study, students’ knowledge of the advantages of using the Internet was tested, why they use internet and how people using internet are controlled. The conclusions of this study are varied. What is the most importantly, we still don’t know exactly how to keep children protected from modern media. Among parents and teachers there is a lot of missing knowledge. It is important to educate teachers, parents but as well children about that. All this can help us to ensure that young people, as well as adults, will only the benefits from what the modern world offer them.
